It's from the Ramba Ral arc or just prior to it, IIRC. I can't remember an episode number, but it happens while they're tooling around in the desert; I'm fairly certain it's after Amuro has run off after one of his angst fits and Ryu and them go off to find him, then having to JUMP ONTO WHITE BASE to get back aboard because it's under attack.
If you wanted, you could check MAHQ
's episode summaries to see if they mention it. I'd start with episodes 15 or 16 (English numbering).
IIRC they cut down some of it but not all of it. They cut pretty much all of M'quve's screen time in that part though.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!@Scherzo 09: OVA movie? IIRC, they were shown in theaters first in Japan.
But yeah, Ramba was still covered rather well in the movies, but only a few scenes of M'Quve were kept in the movies. You don't get to see M'Quve again after Odessa, IIRC. It's almost semi-canon that the movies retconned his death at Texas Colony at Amuro's hands, at least according to Char's Deleted Affair.
WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A DIALOG BOX INTERRUPT GAMEPLAY.Its probably because its quoted in every single gundam game he is in.

I watched the whole show and I don't remember them JUMPING ONTO WHITE BASE. Granted, I watched it three years ago. I've seen the movies since then, but they omit a lot of filler incidents like JUMPING ONTO WHITE BASE.
