I dont know what many of you have to say about WB(Warner bros) doing direct to DVD movies of Tom And jerry. But the next one has them in Oz. Thoughts anyone? I'm currently doing a Flat "What" over this.

It's clearly a parody at least. They couldn't use the slippers otherwise.

No.

If I don't believe this exists, it doesn't.

What's next? Tom and Jerry in Citizen Kane?

^^^^ They've been making movies for a while with them not talking. The last one had them in the The Nutcracker world and was... ok.

The one before that had them fighting Martians and was, surprisingly, pretty decent.

[up] I dunno. Maybe they're whoring the movie to all of the networks?

[up] [up] That's just where the TV spots will be shown for the movie. This is one of those ads for the video dealers and they usually list the networks where ads will be shown so dealers can be sure the movie will rent or sell well.

Wasn't there an episode of The Critic where Duke tried to do something like this?

Anyways, what's the worst that could happen?

The Muppets did oz, so why should this be a problem? Let alone that i will admit I'm rasising an eyebrow over this.

You know, it'd be awesome if they did a parody of the other Oz.

[up]This is gonna be a parody of Oz anyways? Or are we likely going to complain without watching it?

Makes as much sense as something like Chuck Norris vs. The Wicked Witch of the West.

Can there be a more cliched misuse of their Universal-Adaptor Cast? What next, Alice In Wonderland?

Oh shit, I hope the execs didn't hear that...

At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...

How much do you want to bet that Tom and Jerry's antics is what exposes the Wizard in this version?

I'm now imagining this as a Pooh's Adventures style thing where they just animate Tom and Jerry's wacky antics over the original movie and the characters ignore them.

Bumping.

[up]That's exactly what it is. I saw some of it. It's almost exactly like an animated version of the film, with Tom and Jerry doing some wacky antics. They have some effect on the events the plot, but they really just tag along.
