I wouldn't be surprised if the backstagers in the democratic party were doing everything in their power to get trump nominated with Palin just to further guarantee Obama's second term.

Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?

Well, Gingrich has announced his candidacy, and he's already blaming "unions, Hollywood, and the elite media" for handicapping him against Obama right off the bat. What a crybaby...

Didn't he lambaste Obama for not taking actions in Libya, and as soon as he did, lambaste him for taking actions in Libya?

[up][up][up] But not Fox News of course. Because they're the only unbiased source out there, amirite?

[up][up] Of course. Since when was hypocrisy a disqualification for political office?

My gut says Gingrich is unable to whitewash himself enough to get national elected office. Besides, the guy looks like a smarmy toad; shallow as it might be to judge candidates on appearance, they will, and Gingrich fails that test badly.

Trump, on the other hand — I can't possibly believe he thinks he has a chance. It's just attention whoring.

Here is Donald Trump's brilliant [1] argument against homosexuality.

"It’s like in golf. A lot of people—I don’t want this to sound trivial—but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive. It’s weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist."

- Donald Trump, 2012 GOP nominee

I think he's just trying to advertise his golf course. It's apparently the best in the world or something.

He also kicked people in Scotland out of their homes...so he could build a golf course.

So, this whole Presidential maybe-run is just a big publicity stunt for his businesses. That's America for you, folks!

Yeah, I doubt Trump will even be in the primaries. The primaries are going to be Cain, Paul and Gingrich.

Not to the hardcore conservatives, anyway, which is the bloc that gets you nominated. Ironically, he'd probably fare much better in the general election because of it. This primary is going to boil down to hardcore nutcase Republican vs. moderate Republican who panders to the hardcore nutcase voter base, and if they do nominate one of the former, as I suspect, it'll alienate so many moderates that Obama will coast to victory.

Settle down, folks — The Donald has announced that he will NOT run for President.

Of course, he had to do it via his typically overinflated ego:

"I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion, and I am not ready to leave the private sector."

Yes, folks, Trump isn't running for POTUS because he figured it was too easy. [lol]

Guess it's now up to Palin and Gingrich to deliver the lulz.

I so called that. It was obvious he wasn't serious and it was just a publicity stunt.

Gingrich is an official candidate, so him.

I suspect Palin is just hinting at a run for the publicity; if she couldn't do a single term as governor of Alaska, she sure as hell won't do 18 months of a campaign.

Huckabee bowed out, too. So who gets to represent the fundamentalist nutjobs now?

Long Putters, huh...oh the Freudian Implications...

Rick Santorum, maybe, if he can change his name.

Sarah Palin, a definite, as so many idiots are ready to vote for her.

Gingrich, I need only mention your wives.
