I'd rather see Alan Alda running.

Hell, I'd rather see Alan Thicke running.

I'm tempted to photoshop up a poster of Trump vs. Alda and have an Amusing Race logo in The Amazing Race font.

I really want to click on that Ad with "Trump for President 2012, vote now" out of morbid curiosity, but I'm afraid of viruses.

But really, in my heart I know where the link leads.

I wanted to find that old test that asks you if you're dumb, and moves the "No" away from your cursor every time and replaces it with "Yes"...but my google fu failed me.

And now you've brought in the right wing "Stop Obamacare" ads. Thanks a lot. sad

I like seeing what ads pop up.

It's funny.

I don't on this site, because the Ads are how the wiki makes money. I added the exception just for TV Tropes.

Here is my Obamacare / Death Panel Joke

Light Yagami: Now I shall become God of this new health care system!

Back on topic, Donald Trump is just a joke after that Birth Video thing. I hope.

If so, then I cannot say I'll move to Canada, because Canada is Harperland.

But he won't win, because Obama got Osama.

I want to see the GOP run Trump / Palin in 2012, just so President Obama can ignore the campaign until November 1st and still win in a landslide. Dude's got more important stuff to do anyway.

There is no way in hell that Trump will get nominated. For one thing, he's been married three times and divorced twice, which is not going to fly with the republican base.

Nah, if he's got that "(R)" next to his name on the ballot, he's good. Heck, the Republican base don't even mind thrice-married Newt Gingrich, who served divorce papers to his first wife while she was recovering from cancer surgery...

Newt Gingrich has never run for president. Also, all the people who are going to be trying for the republican nomination will have "R" next to their names.

Ronald Reagan, a hero to the right, was married twice (Nancy was his second wife). Republicans are contradictory towards marriage.

^I don't dispute your point, but I'd point out that just because you think something is wrong doesn't mean you have to hate the people who do it (Westboro notwithstanding).

[up][up] A fair point, but I think they are going to err on the side of caution this time. Trump has plenty of other baggage; He's unelectable IMO.

I wonder if the Democrats are going to mount an effort to get him nominated.

[up][up][up][up] I wasn't trying to make a stand, I was just stating a point.

I probably meant to say that "Republicans can be contradictory towards marriage sometimes".

[up][up] I don't think it would be worth it. I would try to get Palin/Huckabee/Romney in; They are much more likely to get nominated, and just as unelectable.

Why is Romney unelectable? I keep hearing this, but I'm not seeing what makes him so unpalatable to the Republican base, especially since he was an elected governor over a nominally liberal state.

No one wants to say it, but it's because he's a Mormon.

Gingrich keeps hinting he might run, though I think it's just a ploy to inflate his speaking fees. He's still a more credible candidate than Trump or Palin, though.

And yeah, good luck getting Romney as the candidate; it'll be like "Is JFK secretly loyal to the Pope?" and "Is Obama secretly a Muslim?" all over again.

The odd thing about Mormons is that they have been traditionally conservative. It would make perfect sense for them to consider Romney (he would win in the Plains states and put up a good run in the East due to being known in Massachusetts) but a lot of the Southerners wouldn't like it (due to many of them claiming that their denomination is the only true denomination).

It's called Romneycare being near identical to Obamacare.

Which is so amusing since "obamacare" is almost word for word the REPUBLICAN'S counter offer back when Clinton tried healthcare reform.
