I do not wish death upon anyone, even those I find morally reprehensible. Life is precious, and even if he did not understand that, it does not give anyone the right to take his away. He was a fellow human being, even if he was one that was made some of the worst decisions possible with his life. Sure, he would not have extended the courtesy to me, but that's rather the point, Isn't It?
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"It's not like I'm sad or expect anybody to be sad about his death, hell no. I guess he got what he deserved, even though I don't think that murder is an appropriate punishment.
But jesus, that murderous sadistic glee that many people have her is disgusting beyond words.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.at this point I could start snarking about the shit the army does but you know what, fuck it — I'm gonna note down the Jameson request and leave it at that
I've just gotta remember it's not the whole nation revelling in this stupid eye-for-an-eye revenge shit... urgh. There are some sane people. there are some sane people. And at least I'm not over there.
I don't approve of the celebration of any killing, but there are some people who just need to be taken down for the good of humanity. That's the long and the short of it.
"You can only come to the morning through the shadows."Colour me indifferent.
Whoop de doo, he's dead. The only surprising thing is that he wasn't vapourized by a daisy cutter years ago. I find little significant in a) the fact that bloodying the nose of the largest military power on the planet eventually gets you some lead dentistry, or b) the fact that the cruel and murderous die, like everyone else. And of course there was suffering that he caused and suffering he claimed to avenge. There's suffering everywhere, some dude named Siddartha pointed that out a ways back. I really can't bring myself to care that much.
EDIT: Although reading more, I am interested in the SEAL operation. Sounds exceptionally well done.

Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this. It's a shame he couldn't be brought in to trial to answer for his crimes but if you shoot at soldiers you're going to get it back* . As far as I'm concerned that's an end of it. There's no real point in celebrating.
Basically, what Taoist said.

With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.Well, as idealistic as it is not to ever kill anyone and as much as like I that position, it's unrealistic. Understand that bin Laden has been a threat since 1993, before 911. I can't really say whether or not he was still a threat right before he was shot, but I'm going to take a guess and say yes because he's engineered several attacks in the past, so you want to know what I'm celebrating? A dangerous man is dead, means a likely profit in lives overall because he can't do anything else anymore.
I'm eating my cake because I honestly believe more people are safer now.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.I don't mind that. While I'd prefer to avoid it, I do believe that it was probably unavoidable, possibly even necessary.
But the idea of gathering pleasure from it? I'd prefer the I Did What I Had to Do mentality...

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Yes, pleasure indeed because now he can't hurt anyone, namely citizens, which he's been directly linked to at least three major terrorist attacks in the US, a few more in other countries, and is probably linked to several more that we haven't proven yet. It's a good day.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.I'm glad he's gone and can't hurt anyone anymore. I actually said in my last post that I was well aware that occasionally death is necessary. It's just the idea of glorying in death, anyone's death, that unsettles me slightly.
"You can only come to the morning through the shadows."Why yes, he lead a group that was rather active as terrorists. He could afford a mansion, I really do doubt that he'd be short on funds if he wanted to make another attack, leading to a loss of lives. It's a good day when you preemptively save lives and so no, I'm quite happy, I celebrated.
More so, did you guys ever lose family to a terrorist attack? Namely 911? I can't speak for them, but you know, I wouldn't exactly be indifferent to his death if I was in their position.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.

alright Kino, if you get shot and killed in Whateveristan in a coupla years I'm gonna hold a party, 'kay? Some prick just took a few rounds to the chest. celebrate.
Seriously, it's moments like this I'm pretty ashamed of being half American.
