Over a thousand inbounds? That's pretty darn healthy.
As for redirects... Live Your Life Over?
132 is the rudest number. The first time I saw the name, I related it to Mary Sue, but it appears to be healthy. (Maybe someone can do a wick check to make sure?) Even so, I do think redirect farming is in order. Second Chance Fic?
Besides the name issue, I think that this article needs a rewrite. Right now the description seems to indicate that it is only a fanfic trope on even though there are plenty of canon examples on the page. We ought to put greater emphasis on the canon examples over the fanfic examples, or possibly split it into Peggy Sue (canon) and Peggy Sue Fic.
I've made a topic for this before,
MY problem is that all the "sue" tropes have a special meaning on TV Tropes. Except this one.
Mary Sue - Purity Sue - Relationship Sue - Etc... All the sue tropes have a meaning. EXCEPT Peggy Sue, who breaks the mold.
And its named after works and real people atop of that.
The film Peggy Sue Got Married is the Trope Namer. The Film is named after the song of the same name, which is a sequel to the song called Peggy Sue.
Confused yet?

It's an obscure Character Named Trope. Rename was made for cases like this. It's a fanfiction trope but has nothing to do with Mary Sue. Bids the question "why is it restricted to fanfiction".

It certainly should not be restricted to fanfiction - if that was the case, then the Trope Namer that's the source of the problem wouldn't even be an example.
Hasn't this come up before?
The Live Your Life Over redirect seems good; why not just swap for that?
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. This discussion have happened before
. See the last (non bot) post for the reasons we shouldn't rename it.
Stop trying to fix what is not broken. You only risk to break it yourself.
Those are good points.
But I wish there's a better way to find expried forum theads, besides looking at the page history, use Google Search, or having to dig through the sub-forum, so we could've avoided all of this.
Now the only problem is if someone wants to create a page for the band, singer, or song, a work will be linked to it, along with the Laconic and stuff...

If it's not broken, don't fix it.
Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.I don't get the exact difference between this and Set Right What Once Went Wrong...
Mm. If you excuse me, I must go set my own city on fire. Count Selvan, Radiant HistoriaOf course if it does get renamed the first line of the article will have to be 'Also known to most fanfic writers as a "Peggy Sue Fic"'. Seriously, you can put on a writing prompt meme "<character name> Peggy Sue" and have everyone know exactly what is wanted.

NOTE: This also applies to Groundhog Peggy Sue by extension.
I'm not sure whether Peggy Sue is really a good name. Aside from the whole Mary Sue thing, it doesn't really describe the trope, it's just the name of a character in some movie. Here's the link to the inbound links and stuff...
, admittedly it doesn't seem entirely broke. That said, I can never remember what the definition of this trope is when I see it.
If not renamed, it at least needs some redirect farming.
