Looking for this sort of stacked kind of castle like city-fort. Is there any Truth in Television on this?

As a single building? No. That would weigh too much to be able to hold itself up and wind would just trash it. A less exaggerated form that's actually built on a hill or something? Maybe.

[up] Exactly. The closest thing I can think of is a little European hill-on-an-island called Mont Saint Michel.

It depends on what aspect of it you mean.Kind of reminds me of Shibusen from Soul Eater.

I think the closest thing you could find would be shantytowns in places like Rio.
