A few of my friends and I play on a dedicated server together, and yesterday one of them found out that if you spam Dirt Bombs the server will think you're cheating because you're placing too many blocks in too short a time frame. Whoops.
So hit 'em with a whole tidal wave ~ We're killing it the entire wayI dunno. It was set up using the kit that came with the game, so... Yes?
So hit 'em with a whole tidal wave ~ We're killing it the entire wayPlaying Master mode and will admit to it kicking my butt. Then again, not helping my case is I intentionally rolled a large drunk world (I think its seed 5162020), and the fact that I'm playing on pc when I play better on controler. And straight up, this world is drunk. If you're a Terraria vet and want more difficulty/challenge early game, roll one of these worlds because it will own you. Theres also a harder than master seed but I don't know the seed number.
Anyway, Skeletron on a drunk world is a pain in the butt for one reason and one reason only. He starts, underground. Unless you're willing to go to the underworld (which the drunk world has a surprise for you if you go down there) to get hellstone for a molten pickaxe and then breaking the entire front door of dungeon open to make room for arena, I don't see how you could kill Skeletron pre hard mode. I'm about at my waist ends since I've been trying to kill him for two days with no success. Almost tempted to try my luck against the Wall of Flesh. Almost.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I setup a ton of space hosting Heart Lanterns and Campfires every 200m from Spawn or whatever.
Grab tons of stars, for Star Cannon.
Bee Armor.
Imps.
If you can make it out of the Dungeon, with 75% HP, you should be able to do it?
I haven't managed it on even Regular Master, but it feels possible, but Master Mode is best tackled with at least stuff gathered from an Hardmode Expert world?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Didn't think about that idea. I would go the summoning route and use a mine cart cheese stat if only skully didn't shoot skulls when you kill both his arms. Either way, going to go to one of my old expert worlds kill him there and get a shadow key and cobalt shield. It's all I want (I lucked out on a gold chest being close and already got Muramasa).
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2
I've heard of those, and I'm not EVEN going to touch those with a fresh character. But it is a challenge idea like to see anyone crazy to attempt.
Also for master mode players DO NOT make a hellivator. There is a new fishing item in the underworld which is instant teleportation down there. Problem is you need bait from the underworld to fish there. Get like 15 or 10 kinds of bait, make a hiddy hole over a lava lake, pop all your fishing potions and a crate potion and hope you fish up a demon conch and lava crates.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I dunno, we did an hellevator here and it was quite beneficial for us. allowed us to find several useful biomes on the way, made the myshroom pylon midway through obsolete and freed up space to relocate people in a town right above hell, and was all around a lot more convenient than one person using the conch and the others either farming theirs of having to use wormhole potions to follow him everytime you need something down here.
Doesn't even take all that much time with the mining potion and the accessory that boosts minign speed.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Yeah, the cavern pylon is a great idea. We even set up our chlorophyte farm in the cavern town later in the game. the annoying part is that you might want to relocate it to one side of the map for the wall of flesh battle and that relocating it back after that might be a pain in the ass.

IT IS FINISHED! Master mode skeletron is dead. 3 days of blood, sweat, and tears and its finally over! Maybe I was playing better but I did do several things that definitely helped.
1.Magma Armor for more defense (and this was all my defense I wasn't rich enough to reroll for plus 4 defense accessories).
2.I cheated and went to another of my worlds and got a cobalt shield (still had to kill the expert mode skeletron on that world though). Not having to worry about knockback during my escape from the underground dungeon definitely helped.
3.Buff potions. 1.4 introduced a new potions via fishing which kind of makes a corrupted good. You need a corrupted fish to make a rage potion which is a 10 percent damage increase for everything. There is no crimson equivalent. Add in thorns, iron skin, defense, swiftness, and regen and I was set.
4.the Mini Shark with meteor rounds. I may not have rolled unreal on you but Sighted worked just fine.
So Skeletron, done. Next, the dungeon just to map it out and then, the wall of flesh.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Wrath Potion can only be made via the Corruption, and increases damage by 10%
Rage Potion can only be made via the Crimson, and increases crit chance by 10%
Both of them have existed prior to 1.4
The new potions introduced in 1.4 are the three luck potions, alongside two improvements to Well Fed called Plenty Satisfied and Exquisitely Stuffed
So, Terraria just got another patch, and it added a new "boss" (more of an event, really). A reference to all the controversy about torches giving you bad luck. I'm glad to see they're taking the situation in good humor, even when some people took the whole thing too far. And, defeating... well, more surviving it unlocks an ability that helps address one of the common complaints about the luck system.

Depends on how Crazy-Prepared you want to be. Keeping the evil biome out of important areas is easier if you've made some pre-Hardmode preparations, like putting brick-lined tunnels around those places. That might not be a big deal, though, if you're going through the bosses pretty quickly. (I'd still recommend evil-proofing your towns, because pylons.)
Other than that, base building is easiest right before Hardmode, since there are very few interruptions and they're all well below your gear level, plus you have access to some pretty nice materials at that point. Exploration will be easier if done sooner, too.
So hit 'em with a whole tidal wave ~ We're killing it the entire wayAight, I'm done with 1.4 and so's the rest of our team. T'was a fun ride but I'm glad it's over. Here's our room of bling to attest that we t-posed on this entire game.

Random question: since the "drunk seed" (05162020) generates a world with both evil biomes present, what happens when it transitions to hardmode? Are there three diagonal streaks of corrupt/crimson/hallow or does it just randomly choose one of the evils?
