May or may not post tonight; stuck at a place with a rather spastic internet connection and I'm not sure if it's reliable enough to make a post.
@electronic: Darius and Iao are still in the Spire; if you're interested I could send a drone your characters' way.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!I agree on Killer Clowns on just having the military base be part of the scenery rather than the main attraction.
I should note that an outpost or fort (like the ones on the Oregon Trail) probably would be a better choice than full-fledged military base for the following reasons:
1. Too much "weight" to just be a side-show. Military bases tend to be big, with thousands of personnel, capable of self-sustaining itself should something happen to the grid.
2. No one would be allowed in the surrounding area, restricting potential characters to local military personnel and people who aren't supposed to be there. Generally (at least in America), no civilians are allowed to enter military bases without proper authorization, for security reasons. However, some bases may have civilian tours.

So you won't mind if I go ahead with the next post? Shouldn't be much of a big post.
They'll turn your world around@electronic: that's pretty much it. The taxi stand is pretty much outside shops that are part of that same building but on the other street.
Seon and Gwion entered number 308, street "A", then went along a corridor that came out somewhere around number whatever on street "B" without leaving the same building.
In short, they used the time-honoured tactic of slipping out the back door.
Will post for Eliza (and others) later today. Kind of stuck for her and I'm probably going to be busy for most of today.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Consider that post on hold for now. Packing furiously.
Feel free to post in the meantime, Blackfire. If you think of anything.

They'll turn your world around@electronic: awesome.
@nrjxll: I'd suspect that by now, Seon would've jumped into the cab - it'd take at least a minute, if not two, for Kevin to complete his recce of 308 Whatever Street, in addition to the time for the others to have done their thing, and it wouldn't have taken that long for Seon to get into the cab and for Gwion to get in after him.
By now, they should be moving - "just drive, cabbie, we'll give you directions en route" - and Seon should be initiating steps to contact his employers and kick off the next stage of the search/pursuit.
Could you do a post to that effect, please? Feel free to state that once Seon's safely in the cab, Gwion gets in - still watchful for unspecified/random hostiles (he doesn't know they're definitely being followed, but it's safer for his client that he assume they are and act accordingly).
@Masterofchaos: your turn for the bazaar.
So begins my vacation week. I found the best cell reception spot (I can load to this page in under three minutes!), so I should be able to keep up with my usual posting habits.
They'll turn your world aroundNot much to be honest, I just haven't had much come to mind regarding CDTs or new threads.
I got a bug bite on my eyelid a few days ago and have had to take Benadryl pills (which make you drowsy) to get rid of it, because Benadryl cream shouldn't be that close to your eye.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."That sounds rather unpleasant, to say the least. Hopefully it clears up soon.
Anyway, posted for everyone else. Just bug the drone when you're ready, electronic.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!I'm here. Just posted. I decided to go to bed a bit earlier than usual yesterday. Probably needed that.
Also, Yomegami. What do you think about eventually letting Moreena and Eliza bump into the magical girls? The plot seems to be slowly moving in that direction, but I don't want it to feel too forced.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

Ok, I think I understand the building now- it's massive and goes far back so it's on the other street, but still runs along, parallel to the other street, where that back door was and near to the taxi stand, right?
Life is hard, that's why no one survives.
