I probably should have posted this before now, but posting in Fair on my part is going to be pretty slow for the foreseeable future. I'm having certain real life issues that are combining with my existing reservations about the thread to make it kind of hard for me to post. I will do so, but it might take a while.
It's not like the thread is otherwise tearing along or anything, but still, I thought I should let you all know.
That's kind of what my initial reservation with joining was, and why I spent a while trying to sort out an alternative way to approach the thread.
They'll turn your world aroundI don't know — this has worked fine for Amanita, whose conversation soon turned philosophical and really helped me get an idea how she works — not to mention practicing her odd speech patterns. Then again, she is the sort who can cause a lot of questions by dint of her appearance and nature alone.
maxwellelvis, anything you wanted to post to this
? Otherwise I'll be having Nore and Solin show up elsewhere.

I'm not getting the impression that the only thing to do at the fair is purchasing stuff. Just from looking at the Troper-owned stands as well as her personality, I knew Iris wouldn't even realistically take interest in most of them without extra prompting, so I opted to have her focus on attendees instead, with the intention of her deciding in-story that she would take a backseat and see what the young'uns like doing.
And honestly, joining up with other attendees is what I think would be more sustainable and productive for a good number of characters.
Even still, you do have the option of, when you meet some other attendees, making up incidental stalls that could plant something potentially interesting in the thoughts of other characters. Plot devices.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."It seems to me that the focus on shopping is because most of the stalls center around shopping...
Certainly the original World's Fairs weren't all about that, even though most modern conventions do tend to be shop-heavy.
Perhaps different stalls, or even just independent interactions between the patrons would help?
@Ryuhza: I also added a new character at the Rufus stall, hopefully she doesn't get too weird to write for.
I fear I've written myself into a corner. I initially sent Nioba and Lihiri towards the Youkai Showcase because there were other characters there, but in hindsight, I can't see them buying scrolls that neither of them can read or jewelry (Nioba's religious beliefs actually forbid the wearing of any jewelry that pierces the skin.) And now any hope of conversation has been precluded by the fight. I might have had my characters join the fight, but it sounds like it's going to wind down. Meanwhile, the other places where people are congregating are doing their own thing, and I'm afraid to disturb those threads (also unsure of how to just jump into any of those conversations.) Any ideas?
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants.
Again, there is/will be no fighting. All that has happened is that Adelphos grabbed the Wyvern and threatened to devour it for attacking him (well, okay, that's not exactly minor, but it's far from a full blown altercation). Adelphos will be backing down and returning to talking/shopping by my next post. If you can't think of anything to say for now, then I'll just write up my post and you can work out something from there.
Also, CG sort of moved her character here to interact with yours, so I wouldn't suggest moving them just because of the, uh, disagreement that's currently happening.

If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromJust to clear any confusion, the personality in control I always refer to as Adelphos while the other one I refer to as the voice. And I'll refer to them as such even if the personalities switch places. So the personality I referred to as the voice in the Youkai Showcase post is the original, but he switches back by the end of the post.
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromUgh, my computer crashed and I lost a beefy portion of my post. I think I need to sort out some longstanding issues with my machine. Some key stuff is corrupted and I've been putting off wiping my hard drive clean for some time now. Might be a little slow in posting.

They'll turn your world aroundYeah, I know, I've just been putting it off. Plus I need my computer to be operational in order to do homework for 3 of 5 classes.
Anyway, I'll go rewrite my post now. Just a little bummed because the Firefox addon that I installed specifically to backup what I write in case of a crash didn't operate as it should have. But whatever, I wrote it once, I'll write it again.
They'll turn your world aroundThe internet here has become absolute garbage, so it's likely I won't be posting anytime soon until it improves.

I'm planning to end it in my next reply, there won't be any fighting. Just have your characters do what comes naturally, Adelphos will just back down once the original personality takes control.
