So (<— as you might be able to guess <—)I spent the whole morning finishing a digital drawing of Oswald all cloaked up, so, essentially, the way he appears in Inn right now. Here's the whole thing
(just upper body) for those curious. I think it's a marked improvement over my Joseph picture earlier this year. I'll have a variation without his mask too sometime later.
Now that that's done, I'm going to go eat (like I said, the whole morning was spent drawing) and try to get something posted.
They'll turn your world aroundJeez Louise, I can't write for shit right now. I'll get to Archipelago after walking the dog.
They'll turn your world aroundStill having motivational issues, though the main reason I haven't been posting for my one active character is because I've been braindead.
Will at least post something for the observatory later, however.

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Once Masterofchaos posts in Inn, I'm dropping out and sticking with just Archipelago, probably until I'm done with my summer classes at the beginning of August.
The goings-on seem really insular now, and that's even considering I bring an adult desensitized to weird shit and unafraid of military-types rather than a jumpy little kid.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."You realize we don't really have anyone who would answer to the description of "military type" in the thread? The closest thing to an actual military archetype was one of KC's characters early on, but which isn't currently active; Gault's characters match it visibly I suppose, but you've been saying this since before Gault joined. We have people who are enlisted, sure, but it's not like they've been wearing uniforms, openly carrying weapons, or marching. Even that number is relatively few. There are a fair number of combatants, but aside from Gault's characters, nothing that would distinguish them as such to the eyes of a child.
Every time you've said that I feel like you must be talking about some bizarro universe version of Inn where everyone's in a uniform.

Nous restons ici.None of them look military, but the bulk of the conversations seem to be about military-type things. Putting aside Daisuke for a second, it doesn't interest me.
Unless I'm also wrong about that, in which case I'm sorry I even brought it up. I can't read, by the way.
Everything still seems very insular, though.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."I'm not really sure where you're getting this impression either. Looking at the current conversations:
- Rein and Lord Greyjoy's characters have been variously insulting Steve and discussing superheroics (which I guess is sorta "military"). The current conversation with cats' character seems to be about food.
- I'm not sure what's going on with Naoko and Mazak, since that conversation seems pretty slow, but I think it's about comparative magic systems.
- Oswald and Blossom have only just started talking, but it's certainly not about "military things".
- Claire is trying to get information from the Firstborn about the Eyes and Teeth. I guess that could vaguely be considered a "military" topic, but not really.
- And for my part, Havanar's conversation with Nyris has been all over the place.
I do agree that Inn is feeling a bit fragmented, if not quite "insular".
Dunno. Honestly I'm not sure who's still active beyond the people I just listed.

Insular meaning not receptive to new people. The conversations are well-established, they've found their path, and they're flowing along sort of like how a plot does. I know I've felt this way before- the conversation's about to come to a head, when suddenly someone new comes in and breaks the flow, or they even try to steer the conversation elsewhere. That's why I always ask. But I don't think I've ever even heard of anyone else feeling this way, so I might be alone here.
Either way, I understand that the military remark was equally as stupid and based in irrationality, and I offer my apologies for bothering everyone with my drivel. Probably for the best that I stay out if that's how good my reading comprehension is.

...Yeah. Thank you, it means a lot.

I still have classes to worry about, so I'm not really sure yet. Thanks, though.
And bringing Daisuke was just a mistake. I'm developing him just fine on my own, so... yeah.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."

On an unrelated note, I realized today that I've now been participating in the threads for over three years.
