I didn't pay attention to that line from the Firstborn's dialogue and just now realized that I made Daniel seem like an airhead >_<
Well, I can chalk it up to him being shaken.

If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromI think I pointed this out in the initial description, but the observatory doesn't have stairs; it has ladders.
Besides that, I do plan on posting tonight, but not for a while. Been feeling a little braindead lately.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Aye, I know how you feel.
Well, that and I've started watching The X-Files recently, and while I want to believe it won't be a big distraction, it is entertaining.
And posted in Archipelago. I should note that Saya's setting is rather underdeveloped at this point, so any questions asked about it might be a little on the dodgy side and/or not make much sense.
Post in Inn coming shortly.

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Sonzai's running three characters in Inn at the moment, and only one of them is being waited on (Izumi for KC), while the other two are in limbo.
So, no, it's not Sonzai.
You mentioned Archipelago feeling fragmented, but from my perspective, it's Inn that seems that way.

I, too, would like to know why you think that. Sure, the people are very much fragmented into their little groups right now, but it's not like they're separated by miles of water. Eventually groups will break up for newer interactions. Or, at least, I hope so...

If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromThere have been a couple of particular isolated groups with extremely rapid back-and-forth posting, but otherwise I don't see it either.
I don't think Inn is having a particularly problem with posting - it just seems like there's less people doing it.
Personally, the reason I haven't posted in a couple of days is just sleep deprivation.

(For the record, as I was writing my last Inn post, I realized that both John and Daisuke are running from something that, to them, is both unknown and scares the hell out of them.)
In hindsight, I think that that may have been influenced by my choice of character- Daisuke, though he's normally a bit tougher and more resilient to weirdness than your average eight-and-a-quarter-year-old, has been having something of a breakdown and now sees danger everywhere. He's scared of a lot of the Inn's denizens (due to being scary-looking and/or military-types) and doesn't realize that nobody can actually hurt him, and getting attacked by corvids early into the thread certainly didn't help matters.
Moreover, what's going on now seems to be fairly well-established, but my inability to notice any preexisting conversations that I could theoretically add someone else to is looking like an issue on my part. I've just added a fifth character to Archipelago, I'm busy as it is, and the Raphael/Aquabella plot sort of wore me out.
So. Eh. It's just me and my issues; back to your regularly scheduled programming.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Update and Announcement: (in case anyone was wondering where I went)
Unfortunately, I will have to withdraw from the CDTs for at least the next few months.
Moving and my new job are eating up all my time, and I just don't have any extra energy to dedicate to this.
I might be back after everything settles down - we'll see. (And at the current speed, the same threads might even still be active.
)
Sorry for any problems this might cause, but I am unable to continue at this time.
For my characters:
Mev took off of Pax Island in a makeshift-hoverplane, while Hisami, Takuya, Yuuta, Kina, and Kazue left on their yacht shortly after breakfast.
Kevin was recalled to his home universe.
Assume Ryouta, Miyuki, and Izumi also were called back unexpectedly and had to leave.
Also, if Kaguya opens the package, she would only find a small note inside saying 'Warning: Contents within are unstable and can only exist in interdimensional locations for a maximum lifetime of four hours. Open immediately.' and on the reverse side of the note, it read, 'Remove this adhesive backing and affix to the outside of package.'
I can write a post detailing these departures if that would be helpful for anyone, and I can advance the time once more in Archipelago if desired, but I won't be able to do it in the future.
Again, I'm very sorry, but I don't really have any better options at the moment.

That's disappointing, but I suppose it can't be helped. It'd probably be wise to advance Archipelago to at least mid-morning, but I suppose someone else could take over that duty while you're away.
Good luck with getting yourself situated. Hope you aren't gone for too long.
They'll turn your world aroundBest of luck to you, and we'll see you when you return, if you return (if not, then farewell; it was very nice having you).
I can take over managing the time in Archipelago if needed; I'm already doing it for Inn, so it won't be too much of a hassle.
If Kaguya follows those instructions, will anything else happen?
Icon by Civvi the Civilian! On second thought, scratch my previous question about the package; I came up with the answer for that on my own. I'd still like to know just what was going to be in the package if reality hadn't gotten in the way (if it wasn't just going to be an empty box all along), but that's more out of curiosity than anything.
Either way, I now have something of a dilemma in Inn. My plan for Taeko was to have her join up with Izumi and Blossom, but now Izumi's gone, and Blossom is not someone Taeko would want to interact with on her own accord. Considering there's no one else in the garden (and indeed anywhere else in the thread) that would catch her interest, I have absolutely no idea on what to do with her now.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!I really didn't want to throw her back with the group she just left, considering that the Doylist reason for having her leave to begin with was for her to meet some new people. At this point there aren't any better options though, so eh.
Also, the device with the view screen in Archipelago doesn't have any levers; that's the holographic device projecting the graph. The telescope just has a circular handle that completely surrounds the view screen, in addition to the on-off button (and the panels, which can't be adjusted like the combination lock's could).

Icon by Civvi the Civilian! That's too bad, Sonzai.
Alternatively, I could have Havanar run into her when she leaves her room.
I'd also be willing to take over managing the time in Archipelago, if you'd rather not do it for two threads. I'm not actually participating, but I am reading it.

@Sonzai: I hope your life returns to normalcy soon. And good luck in your new job.
@Killer Clowns: Sorry for sounding paranoid, but you didn't miss my last post, did you?
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it from

I'll post later today. One thing I might point out though, Masterofchaos, Howell's remark about there not being pancakes or waffles in the entry area of the hotel might be better taken as something frivolous, or another way of asking Adam "why have you stopped here". I guess it's reasonable enough for none of them to be aware of the dining hall, so if you want to leave your post as-is, that's fine. I just thought I'd let you know, 'cause I know these things can be taken six ways and I don't always make things clear enough.
