Kind of what he said. I'd like to know too.
So that's TWO people on this question! The tension is raising...
They'll turn your world aroundHeh, two characters doing the same thing. Whoops.
http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3007268/4/The_Legion_of_Justice Superheroes! What could go wrong?Apologies for all the requests, but I'm rearing up to enter into the University, and I'm wondering if there's a quick way I can get an account for all the people in the courtyard area, and what they're... like? Appearance wise at least.
And (I'm skimming through here) Is there any established description of the courtyard area? Details to keep in mind?
They'll turn your world aroundMy character, Loyce is a human with short, light brown hair and dark brown eyes, to answer your question about appearance. He's talking to someone who looks human, his familiar and a cat in a cape. Also there's the remnants of a book that was destroyed with lightning and it's raining. There's also all the stuff I missed.

This is a signature. It is not interesting. Please continue whatever you were doing, it is surely more fascinating.Rachel is a 28 Days Later-style "zombie" with pale skin, washed-out looking green eyes, straight black hair, very long claws on her hands and vestigial stubs for thumbs, and shorter claws on her feet. She's currently wearing a white shirt and jean shorts, in addition to a rain cloak.
She's not going to be in the courtyard for long, though - she's currently heading for the library.
I'll let everyone else handle their own characters, since I'm not completely sure about some of them.

I may not be able to respond immediately, someone needs to use the computer for an indeterminate amount of time.
They'll turn your world aroundHey, new here. Just have a few questions before I enter one of two characters.
1.) How does one enter a character into the university. 2.) Does anything happen in said university beyond classes, coffee, dorm room initiation, or do the zombie and superhero characters affect the story at all. 3.) How many people are there? 4.) Should I care and do half the people know of me and do I know of half the people. 5.) How do the original settings factor into this? 6.) Which character is more appropriate for this setting?
- Kurt Williamson: An amoral, steampunk captain, expy of captain Ahab who is hunting for his biologically created monster (did I also mention he's an expy of frankenstein.)He leads an expedition full of various extraordinary gentlemen style expies, whom he treats like crap and tells them to do horrible things to the natives (also an expy of captain kurtz) while on his globe trotting exp(i)edition.
- Daniel Tell: A man who is down on his luck, volunteers to put himself in cryogenic sleep for supposedly a month because he has nothing to look forwards too and wakes up centuries later. He has gone insane after the machine malfunctioned and his brain sedative gave way, having forgotten virtually everything until he reached singularity and could only be aware of himself. After healing and being reintroduced into post-apocolyptic society he is interpreted as a buddha-esque enlightened figure and he goes with it yet is revealed to have no extraordinary philosophical knowledge beyond his perception will permanently be messed up and one should stop trying to make sense of it all. (Which serves to be correct because it is revealed to all be a dream he concocted in his pod.)

Well... His actual body is stored in the extra-dimensional space, because it's easier than trying to adapt it to survive under the physical laws of this universe. A small portion of his body.. more of any appendage, really, was altered to take on a human shape in order to explore the outside.
So the body outside is basically a meat-puppet for the big, looming alien creature from another dimension.
Anyway, details. A large (Roughly the size of a elephant)hollow ovoid composed of several smaller spheres and ovoids interlinked with tendrils. The outer part of the ovoid is rather rough and leathery, with several segmented limbs fitted for locomotion (Large and fin-like) and manipulation (Claws). Many plant-like symbiotic organisms cling to it. The inside of the ovoid can be seen through several translucent skin-membranes that stretch across areas where the interlinking tendrils don't cover.
Inside it's rather smooth and opalescent, with lots of strange objects floating inside (Which is where the chest links to). There are a bunch of manipulator limbs inside, all rearranging objects or simply remaining motionless. At the very center is a small and very bright metallic object, that's difficult to look at.
Any questions?

sonofkong, welcome to Writer's Block and the CDTs, my friend!
Have them show up there. It's located in New England, it is currently raining, and the thread itself is taking place during autumn.
If you read the first post, you would have discovered that the university is abandoned. There are no courses, faculty, student body, or preexisting amenities to speak of.
I can't say there's much of a story for superpowered or non-Muggle characters to shake up using their powers, but it is generally expected that you exercise a degree of restraint when working with their powers. Hell, I have a guy with a freaking Reality Warper precursor in his chest. But does he go around flinging portals to hyperspace at his enemies? No.
There's a lot scattered over... I believe four central locations- an auditorium, a biology lab, the courtyard, and a library. Other people have specifics as to who is where.
Assuming that you're referring to the story as you participate, you should.
Pretty sure I've never met you before, but I can't speak for everyone here.
I dunno, do you? I don't think I fully understand what you're asking.
Stuff might show up from other people's 'verses, but the setting itself is universe-neutral, meaning that the internal rules aren't necessarily the property of any one person.
Depending on what conversation currently going on that you deem most interesting or useful in character development, either one could work. It's ultimately up to you.
