That's what Hand Waves are for

RE: the pigplant. Charging through the barrier would've hurt like a motherfucker, but past that the only thing that happened to it was Lancer tossing it about and giving it a psionic "okay, seriously, fuck off".

Correct, she pried it off Mist's shield and calmed it, reiterating her warning. Made a mild amendment to clarify that she left it to its own devices unharmed.
fwiw, while I probably could have made it clearer, the whole exchange is also made under her educated assumption that the pigs are... halfway intelligent and would relay the warning amongst themselves to stay away beyond just this one group (implied by her assessing their intelligence + the initial message about a general 'this place', as in the area around the farm). I can have her more explicitly explain that for the party's sake next post after things have calmed down.
Whether it works beyond this one group is an open question, though, and depends primarily on how you feel about having the pigplants be a continuing issue.

I'm sick so no post but also I'm waiting on Strix before I make my next post lol.
My sympathies. I'm finally getting better, but for a while it was an exciting new adventure in sickness every day. Take care!
Disregard.

but now I'm so intrigued!
I'll probably hold off on Henry until Masterofchaos posts, just to be sure of Joseph's status. Need to remember to post for Connie too... she'll be heading for the notice board.
That said, next week is looking kind of busy. Maybe too busy. We'll see.
Welcome back, apocalemur.
I'll wait one more day for Strix and then I'll post for Amandus and James; sorry for the wait Ryuhza! I was just trying not to clog everything lol.
It's all right. I've been trying to get in touch with Strix, but to little avail.
Anyway, I'm mostly biding my time. Things have calmed to some degree at the old homestead, but the flu I thought I was through with brought along some lingering bronchitis, and it's been particularly gnarly these past few days. Add to that a bunch of small personal and scholastic strike outs peppered along the way, I can affirm it has been a pretty sour start to 2023. Hoping to move on quickly, but it's like coming out of mud.
Man, that sucks. I hope things get better.
Get well soon, Ryuzha.
@Masterofchaos, just go ahead and post. I haven't been able to come up with a post that adds anything significant to the scene, so you might as well move things forward.

They will, I'm sure. It's just a lot of things coalescing at the least convenient time, with no small breaks to ease any of it up. Most of it is due to something of a family emergency that isn't centered on me, so I try to count my blessings.
Strix, what about following up on your character's inquiries from your last post? It doesn't have to be much. I sometimes feel like I'm just spinning wheels with my posts, even if they are long. Significance isn't always necessary, just continuance.
Even if there's nothing to do or reply to, it's still a good opportunity to get into the character's headspace, as I've done with Ultra a time or two (though that partly just comes from who she is so maybe not 100% applicable).

Okay, I posted something.
Sweet, thanks.
Edit: Chipping away at a post, but time has been a little tight
Edit part deux: There's for now. I'll get to Connie if I can find some more time. Waiting on Pyxo before I post for David.

Been a busy weekend. Hopeful for time enough to write for Connie in the next three or so days, but it's hard to say. Less sick these past few days, but still rather lethargic.
Still waiting on Pyxo before I write for David. He'll have some things to say to Nasur next post, if that's any encouragement.
Then the Killer Clowns > Will De Regio > Chortleous procession before I get back to Henry and Younger!Joseph.
As for Older!Joseph, I suppose that's more up to you, Masterofchaos.
I like that things seem to have fallen into a rhythm, hah.
(likewise, just waiting for my part in that to come back around)

Yeah, it usually happens with groups if no one is skipping or asking to be skipped. It works fine so long as everyone does their part at a decent enough pace, though admittedly I sometimes miss the more rapid clip that can happen between two writers. Dialogue can have a bit more of a natural back and forth, as I feel less compelled to fit so much in a single post. As the gap between posts widens, I try to have more happen in each one. Make the most of it and all that.
I'm not sure how much Maxel Qeyari has to add at this moment and I might be quite busy this week. If I haven't posted by Thursday you can assume she's measuring her words carefully and watching this whole affair in a stoic silence thinly papering over a sense of weary befuddlement.
There's that Connie update I've been meaning to do. Otherwise, same old same old.
OH SHIT I'm so sorry I just saw this. I'll write for that group soon, hopefully this weekend! This week has been kind of hectic.
Wow. Hilbert Inn has really moved on in my absence. I'm not sure if I'm able to keep up to have my characters catch up with everything that's happened.
