I MAY rejoin Adventure after this week. Have definitely shaken off my writer's block elsewhere, at least. No promises tho.

I'm absent September 9th for a few weeks - travel, and some other things, but not completely gone.

I'm alive. Still sleep-deprived. Inspiration's only coming in two-minute bursts at a time.

Belated answer to Merseyuser1's question: I was waiting for other authors in the Forest group to put their answers forth first before I answered for myself, but that never happened. So... I might be willing to have Mequoql and Morpho forget about Michelle and Rebecca if and only if everyone else forgets too. But if that arrangement happens, what would happen to it when...

Mequoql is about to get one of her kill-two-birds-with-one-stone ideas: Seenarnha is about to arrive in the forest, and Mequoql would want Seenarnha to see for herself what Mequoql means when she declares the moonstones to be defective. That would mean using a moonstone while Seenarnha is watching. There's something that Mequoql feels needs to be done that she doesn't think she can pull off with her unaided telepathy: restoring everyone's missing memories of Joseph. If she's going to do something with the moonstone while Seenarnha is watching, it might as well be that.

If Mequoql's memory restoration is sufficiently undefined, the moonstone might bring back more than just the missing memories of Joseph, it might undo forgetting about Michelle and Rebecca.

That only makes sense if we regard forgetting about Michelle and Rebecca as a plot point the way forgetting Joseph was. I was under the understanding that we were just doing it to excuse a hasty exit for two characters who would be presumably different in inexplicable ways upon a prospective return. So just doing it to smooth over the CDT kinks and no longer regarding it as something that had ever occurred within the story.
