Juvenile moufretas antagonize everything, and are a general nuisance.
Though, moufretas and/or d'voreem would give Maelys a chance to show off a few pieces from her Hyperspace Arsenal of firearms.
And yes, Mist and Maelys will be tagging along.
On a side thought, perhaps the d'voreem would be intelligent enough to pull a Enemy Mine with our characters, and tactically withdraw with moufreta spoils once the fighting stops

x4: A see-through temporal bubble? That would work. Soryn would feel an impulse to poke it with his tail, but he would refrain on second thought because he's heard too many cautionary tales about what happens to rookie mages who blindly stick their hand into a clearly delineated area of effect without knowing what it does first.
Hey everyone. Last night, while I was trying and failing to get my brain to shut up so I could go to sleep, I randomly came up with some world building. You know how towns need farms? What if a significant number of the farms are lined up on the road starting from outside south gate and going to the docks at The Harbor, and there's a great big armored bus that goes back and forth from the docks to the South Gate?
Also, one of the town citizens barged his way into the drafted post that I was writing for Soryn. The citizen was supposed to be just a Spear Carrier or Bit Character who would say one Seen It All line and leave, but darn it, he suddenly took on a life of his own as a farmer, grumpy because a particularly large wild pigplant is being a nuisance on his farm. I know I made a vow to not throw in any more of my characters... so now I'm wrestling with myself. Do I take a risk and engage in Loophole Abuse to put in an NPC with a quest on the bulletin board inviting people to The Stakeout; or do I play it safe and make an Obvious Rule Patch to my vow for the sake of making absolutely sure I don't bite off more than I can chew?
This dilemma came with frustratingly bad timing. I'm going to be extremely busy for part of today and all of tomorrow because of two potentially life-changing meetings (one meeting for me and one for my mother). I'm afraid to get my hopes up but they're up there anyway.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.
@Miss_Desperado: I see your point. It could be interesting; sort of like watching a play as in Shakespeare's time (since no-one's mentioned television or iPad devices etc.).
Here's a thought. Since you said Soryn would find a fusion dance Head-Tiltingly Kinky, how about him and Zelena fusing temporarily? Would he like that; or would it annoy him since he's The Casanova?
I'll let you decide on that one! ;)
There is a good out-of-universe reason for the Fusion Dance; literal Composite Character s; the In-Universe reason is to try and work together as a team, literally and face the challenges of the ghost town (not just the moufretas), but there's also other hazards in this ghost town including a mutated owl abomination (the owls mentioned earlier on in the Forest Campsite are, by virtue of Retcon, foreshadowing).
What do you think of that?

Uh, how the heck would we manage fusing Soryn and Zhelena? Figuring out the ground basics for mind-control was somewhat arduous, the obstacles for this are leagues worse... If we somehow figured out how to manage who writes what with the fusion, there's a whole ton of stuff we'd need to Infodump on each other to figure out an exact blend, e.g. you'd need to know where some of Soryn's internal organs are and where his genetic engineers reduced the density of his nerve endings; and I'd need to know if Zhelena has any reflexive responses to a specific list of triggers (likely including Man, I Feel Like a Woman) that Soryn would want to try "self"-inflicting. Oh, and Soryn's staff is Loyal Phlebotinum, if it doesn't recognize him once he's fused, he's going to be very upset. All in all, I'd say it's easier to just not fuse characters who aren't all written by the same author.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Hey, BTW, there's a wiki cleanup project regarding pages in the Roleplay namespace being designed primarily for their users rather than editors. Since that's pretty much always been the case for the CDT pages, it might behoove us to start using an offsite way to store the information instead, like a Google Doc or something. I've been thinking about bringing this up for a while, actually.
(Also, still planning to post "today". We'll see when "today" actually is...)
Mutated Owl Abomination. Sounds like something that would happen to an owl that rolled around in miasma in my setting. Read: a monster, like the various things my military cadets are training to deal with. Or experienced monster hunters, like Claire, Maelys, and Mist of the Sanctuary Five (my overactive imagination added a mermaid and a "demon" to the trio). Sounds like fun.
Anyway, looks like I've got my work cut out for me, since I'm planning on having Moobly and Nora's triumphant return from off-screen land. To the hotel.
@Ryuhza: I'll post on Wednesday. Michelle (the one in the forest) is going to interact with one of your characters; who should she talk to, you decide (she's got some interesting, but important news!)

@Miss_Desperado: Fair enough. It wouldn't work as well as I thought, fusing our two characters together. I guess i took Composite Character too far as an idea.
What do you think about there being an owl abomination in the ghost town? (As it is... owls were a sort of Creator Thumbprint in some of my early creative works...)
As for Jenny, she's fusing with a woman of a similar height, a new character who's there for the purposes of this storyline. Jenny's in control of some parts of the fusion, but it's like the new character, with Jenny's hairstyle and the new character's hair color.
I won't be able to post until Wednesday night though.
I'm not sure what kind of news would be similarly interesting/important to both Arku and Henry at this particular moment. The major connective tissue between them was Joseph, but right now Henry can't remember him.
Both are in a certain state of focus where they might disregard chatter that doesn't cut straight to a point that's apparently, immediately relevant to their interests. Henry—as he's said many times now—just wants to get home ASAP. Arku wants the freedom to go about his business.
They'll turn your world around
Just a heads up, David is still busy carefully climbing the side of the butte as of my last post.
Hmm, well, I think we said last page that the butte is about 30 feet high, and David stopped at around 10 feet to communicate with Arnaya regarding his truck. I'm not sure how much help John can offer from 20 feet away without a line of rope, but if he wants, he could shout his questions down.
I'm back! While I'm reading to catch up, where is it my turn?

Zelena will be coming to the abandoned satellite town (although unlike Jenny, Julia and Lauren she won't be doing a Fusion Dance); your idea sounds better than mine so I'll go with your suggestion.
As it is, Jenny's going to fuse with a new character brought in for the purposes of that plotline (currently she's not even appeared yet).
As for what type of Fusion Dance:
I've avoided this being too Story-Breaker Power-ish, but here it's for literal Composite Character purposes.
As for Michelle doing the Time Travel, she may create a sort of bubble on the field to time travel and do it (while she's in her Super Mode form) so everyone could see her changing the past - how does that sound as a compromise?
