Uh... twelve narrative units. They're flexible.
Edit: As for the town, they're a mile away. The truck they are seconds from reaching at a quick gait. The truck is a mile east of the town's limits.

They'll turn your world around@nrjxll: I can still wait for you, I think. So far, the stuff that has happened since my last post
for Nyorla and company has only marginally involved Nyorla, and I sort of can't think of where else to put them. So when you do get around to posting for Gar May, my response post will contain the following piece...
Then a call
came in over the microchip communicator — Mequoql was worried about a potentially lethal side effect of a potentially ill-phrased wish. Nyorla waited for her Nao Ranay Nokt power to flare, but when her Boss didn't teleport her to Mequoql's side, Nyorla figured that the situation hadn't turned lethal after all.
@Masterofchaos
Is that an effect that started right that minute in the post, or did it start earlier? Because that's something that Arnaya would immediately notice.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.I'm back.
I've got some good news and bad news.
Good news - I'm going to keep certain characters
Bad news - A lot of characters are going to be written out, and we can just treat previous appearances as Canon Discontinuity if we want.
Some of my other previous ideas are now simply What Could Have Been
The only characters I will use now are:
- Rebecca Jane Walsh
- Ava Sharpe (whose Story Arc is Left Hanging)
- Allison (but she's going to leave)
I will not be available to post May 14th and May 15th (personal reasons).
I may need a slight recap to get up to speed with things.
I know Morpho was about to talk to Rebecca, but where are things up to with that?

No one else is gonna fill Mer in?
-Thanos voice- Fine...I'll do it myself.
Okay so here's what happened; whatever is inside young!Joseph just used the gems to erase (or try to erase) everyone's memory of him. It didn't work for Meqy (I'm calling her that cause it's cute), Morpho, or Carol, so that leaves Henry, Bonnie, and Lily as the ones who got mind wiped. Meqy is chasing after not!Joseph, not!Joseph used the gem again and now is floating in mid air, like one of those video game glitches, and Morpho is asking is anyone remembers Joseph.
Count how many times I've used Joseph, lol.
Mequoql and Joseph also transported themselves to the other end of the forest (though to be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure which end the campsite is at), so they aren't currently in sight.
It was supposed to be as quiet an exit as possible.
Tee hee, Soryn is not going to take the sudden disappearance of the ladies he was flirting with well...
By the way, did Mael forget to let the archaeologist see through his disguise?

Aw phooey, so much for the archaeologist trying to slap what she sees as a Dirty Old Man.
@Apocalemur: What color is Krakka'a?
@Mroh: You ninja'd my post.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.@mroh Krakka'a is a Quetzalcoatlus northropi. He stands roughly 18 feet tall, has a 40 foot wingspan (when Osiris isn't deliberately restraining them), and the pycnofibres on the back of his neck are considerably longer than on the rest of his body, giving the impression that he has something of a mane.
@missdesperado Krakka'a is mostly brown. The membranes of his wings are a slightly different shade of brown. His beak is kind of a yellowish-brown, and his crest is red with black spots. His eyes are red.
Edited by apocalemur on May 7th 2019 at 9:06:51 AM
I've edited Claire's description to include that she's human, fair skinned, and that her hair is specifically strawberry-blonde.
Moufretas, d'voreem, Krakka'a... What don't the Web of Friendship eat?
...
Then again, I shouldn't complain, in my setting, some youkai eat people, mermaids got eaten to near extinction, and... pixie dust.

That's not what being ninja'd means. Alice gets ninja'd by Bob when Alice starts to add a post and then Bob posts while Alice is still typing, so that when Alice clicks the "save" button, she's surprised to see Bob's post right before hers. My post for Jen Jara was ninja'd by your post for Cody, as you can see from the timestamps, you posted at 6:27 today and I posted a few minutes later at 6:31 today.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.I'm curious, does anyone else in the Necropolis besides Syrni Sandra and Jen Jara have ultrasonic hearing? Also, would the planetary translation field be able to translate —um, whatchamacallit— "caveman" almost-languages? I'm asking because Viporises have a separate dialect exclusive to ultrasonic signals, and the backbone of that dialect is a preserved linguistic relic from before their Stone Age.
Also, I'd like some feedback on Syrni Sandra's bell tower scene. Did I get the "No Lewdness, No Prudishness" balance just right?

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.I'm sorry, I probably should have been more clear. Krakka'a is currently walking, so his posture would resemble the top row of images here
. Osiris is currently making it so he can't spread his wings.
Speaking of, the jury's still out on whether anyone besides Krakka'a and Akane can hear Osiris.
Edited by apocalemur on May 8th 2019 at 7:14:38 AM
It was kind of obvious — aren't the corridors too cramped for Krakka'a to spread his wings anyway? If Krakka'a starts being a jerk towards Jen Jara, depending on exactly what he says or does, she has a chance of retaliating with a taunt of how there's no room for him to fly down underground.
Hmm, let's see, Viporises aren't natural-born telepaths, but they are used to being around telepaths. Syrni Sandra and Jen Jara have communication microchips that allow them to pseudo-telepathically communicate with other members of the Web of Friendship. Any other factors that I should know about before I finalize or retcon my assumption that they can't hear Osiris?

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.By the way, I won't be able to post for either Forest group until it's Henry's turn, so I believe I'm waiting on Will.
But tomorrow will probably be too busy elsewhere to get much writing done, regardless.
Edit: Well that's that

They'll turn your world aroundI haven't disappeared, I'm just a bit busy on my day job. Will post for Iolana either tomorrow or on the weekends. Is it correct that we're waiting for Wolf in the Forest Ruins group?
Spiral out, keep going.
We're waiting for Wolf in all of his groups.
Bad news. I was fired today. Please excuse me while I take a brief break to mope before notifying all the government agencies I've contacted thus far.

They'll turn your world around

Okay I'm a little confused; where, exactly, are we? As in, how close or far are we to the truck?
