I'm probably not going to get much 'creativity time' before the weekend, either. Between learning a new reporting tool and changes my bosses want made in the reports, I'm feeling mentally drained during the week days.
Well, I managed to get some time in.
Will work on the Chitara's wagon group when I get the chance.

What, is she eating him?
Serious answer to mostly-joking question: Aynara is Vampiric Draining Mael's mind-controlled bandits into a specific degree of hypovolemic shock, one by one — she wants all their attention focused on fighting to stay conscious instead of fighting her, and her telekinetic sleeper hold is not efficient.
Mael or no Mael, Aynara would be taking bandits captive anyway if she happened upon them — certain medical pods are modified to have security measures like the ones on the spaceship's brig, so (at least until she gets an impending idea) she figures it doesn't particularly matter whether the bandits end up in the brig or in those reinforced medical pods.
Exam today. If I'm not too burnt, I'll see if I can start writing tonight, and hopefully have something posted by tomorrow. Once again, Merseyuser1, are you out there? I understand things are busy for you right now, but you haven't written for Rebecca in over a month. Are you going to have time for the CDTs?
I meant to post this week, but again, things got a bit busy, not to mention some other projects.
I am going to post for Rebecca soon; getting through Jenny's Story Arc.
I think I'll manage a post by tomorrow. Would it be too disruptive to put a localized sudden change of climate on the Harbor, near the Wasteland? A storm to be more precise. The City would not be directly affected, but may have some rain.
Right where Varla and company are? Well, Varla is hoping for a magical storm...
I suppose I should possibly clarify/Retcon, juvenile moufreta are about 2 m (6 1/2 ft) long and weigh about 15 kg (33 lbs) and are rather frail. Subadults are over 3 meters (10 ft), and 100 kg (220 lbs) and can fly short distances, and adults can grow to 13 m (43 ft) or longer and weigh 5-10 tons.
This Joseph forest memory thing—barring any great disagreement or disruption—should get resolved in my next post there. Although with it comes a surprise (maybe?) that I'm hoping won't be too disruptive. I'd like to present it as-is first, and then if you all have any issues, I can adjust or maybe even rescind it. I really don't want to though, 'cause I think it could lead to fun scenarios and I don't have better ideas in backup.
@Pyxo: I fixed a typo — Varla was supposed to say Lerna, not Sallara.
Also, David really stuck his foot in his mouth with his idea of monetizing Nao Ranay Nokt, which happens to be a crucial part of the Mayatan Emergency Medical Response system. That idea will get him openly laughed at this time. If I recall my history lessons correctly, once upon a time Earth's early fire departments used to be paid by the fire victims, which was a terrible idea because the victims were either already poor before the fire or became poor because of the fire. Whether that's true or not, I can still see how stupid that situation and similar, this time fictional, situations are.
Joseph's proposed solution sounds pretty lethal to Mequoql. She's thinking the worst-case scenario is the moonstones will kill the "stowaway", whether by accident or not. I'm pretty sure that's not what you have planned, but I'm just saying that's what it looks like to Mequoql, and her Chronic Hero Syndrome is going to prompt her to at the very least protest, if not directly intervene.

That's all fine. David's not the quickest study. He doesn't always get things. Especially when dealing with a culture even less familiar than assumed.
As for the Forest, I'm curious, what gives Mequoql the impression that the stones would kill the stowaway? Joseph purportedly doesn't even believe there is a stowaway.

"Assumed" is right — just how little attention was David paying if his brain somehow twisted "hold onto souls long enough for emergency medical attention to make the body habitable again" into oracular future prediction?
And as for the forest, Joseph's disbelief that the stowaway even exists is precisely why Mequoql is worried. She's worried that the gems will enforce the belief of nonexistence on reality. It's partly unfounded paranoia and partly the same principle that makes her balk at the prospect of X-raying a pregnant mother, or sending her through a destination-unknown wormhole without a spacesuit.
What do you have planned, anyway?

Gwion's just surprised that something 2m long is only a young one, not a fully grown one.
I don't think he really grasped that part (David doesn't like thinking about 'souls'; it sends him on a mental slide to a deeply uncomfortable place, so he tends to filter that sort of thing out), and instead latched onto the idea of preempting death, then applied that to a concept he already understands, which is oracles charging lots of money for tidbits of information. If Mequoql brought up that concern, Joseph would probably say that he only means to address the situation of his own memory loss with the gems, not the stowaway. Would that at all assuage her worries? Just in the interest of moving from the discussing to the doing.
As for what I've got planned, I would like to keep it a secret, as it's kind of the kicker to understanding what's actually been going on with Joseph and the stowaway. If you think it's important to know ahead of time, send me a PM and I'll tell you. I will say that as far as disruptiveness goes, it's low impact physically, but may be somewhat higher impact psychologically. Also, there are seeds of its undoing in the thread already, even if neither the Web of Friendship or Will's characters have ready defense systems against it.

Once I get through my next post, I should be able to make them more regularly.
BTW, Miss Desperado - I'm assuming your characters are just guessing, but for the record my intention is that the FTL weirdness keeping Gar May's ship away is indeed a lingering side-effect of the apocalypse the Adventure setting is post-. (It's mostly just a narrative tool for keeping her ship out of the thread.)

@Ryuhza: It wouldn't assure Mequoql entirely, but in the interest of moving from the discussing to the doing, I'd say Mequoql would settle for seeing if Nyorla gets sent into Nao Ranay Nokt mode again... which would mean taking this conversation to the private messages, as I guess that my next question has fifty-fifty odds of straying into your spoiler territory.
@nrjxll: Yeah, my characters were indeed just guessing. Your Doylist info is good to know. I would imagine that there would be enough differences between warp drives and hyperdrives to Hand Wave why your character's engines were affected but mine weren't. My characters' next guess might be to blame an Eldritch Abomination.
I may back out because I don't feel lime I'm experienced enough to contribute anything of substance really.
All it takes is writing for your characters and interacting with other people's characters. And hey, how better to get experience than by doing the thing?
The most important substance is what you yourself get out of participating. And that's often a surprise.
Alright, I might continue for a bit, but it's gonna take me a while to come up with a feasible situation where they can bump into other people.
Aw Mroh, don't give up! I like what I see of your character, and boy, I wish I had characters besides the mustangs available to... Hey, I just remembered I have a couple of teleporters off by themselves! I could easily manufacture an excuse for them to explore Necropolis and stumble across your character...
Sometimes all it takes is sound. There are three other established characters in the Necropolis. Maybe they'll find yours.
Or heat. Viporis skin is covered in infrared sensors (almost like pit vipers) that look like freckles to the uninformed. That feature is supposed to help them around volcanoes. Is Alexa's monster form still warm-blooded like what I presume her human form is?

Yeah, honestly, I'm kind of hoping somebody initiates this first run-in because I have no idea how to do that as of yet.
As mentioned previously, Gar May has competitors who I want to introduce ideally soon. They can show up near your characters if you'd like, Mroh, since my characters here are all deliberately chosen to be willing to take a back seat on their objectives.
Edit: Holy carp, three posts in seven seconds.

Sure, let's do that. Let's call the Crypt they're in Cody's Cove, since he's hidden out there for a good while.
