Orange Alert isn't part of a Police Code for Everything, it's an intermediate step between Yellow Alert and Red Alert meant for broad circumstances. If Mael had waited until the next day to make a move, Maequoql would have blamed her initial claw-popping gut instinct that something was wrong on menstruation day. As it stands now, Varla is vulnerable to mind-control, and to make things more interesting, Varla can't use any tactics that would hint at her affiliation with the Web of Friendship.
I'll give you a tip: Mind control is a lot less telepathically obvious to Sarquoql's sisters when non-sentient life-forms are victimized.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Looks like its time to go down the philosophical rabbit hole...
I'm just going to jump the Moral Event Horizon right now: babies. Mind-controlled baby army.
Horrid joking aside, I shall sit in my fluffy, uh, not!armchair, and put on my faux philosopher's cap for a bit.

Actually, there might be something Mael can do with a plan I was considering regarding one of my own villains. How good is Mael at working with others — and is he likely to be openly misogynistic? (If so, Oseru and Mael won't get along very well.)
I've been stuck with a nasty cold for the last couple days. Happened right after bragging about how I never get sick, so that's what I get for tempting fate I guess.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.Who came up with deadly mirages, and do they have a mind to control?

I will hopefully have time to write later today. Unfortunately, Davey won't be in a very good place with his emotions, so occupying that headspace hasn't been a terribly enticing prospect.

They'll turn your world aroundAlright, I've given it a few tries. But I think I'm going to be leaving. The thread just isn't really giving me what I came for.
Nothing on any of you of course, I just don't mesh well enough with it to justify continuing, different flavors and all that.
I wish you luck in what you're working towards and many good roleplay adventures to come.
Stoned hippie without the stoned. Or the hippie. My AO3 Page, grab a chair and relax.
That's a pity, was looking forward to a wander in the woods with a werewolf.
Still, totally understand your reasoning. All the best, hope to hear from you at some other stage.
Are you able to make a post having Ulf get summoned away and wander off?
I'm still not feeling particularly creative - week's been running on too long already.
Hope to get something done if I wake up refreshed before the rest of the household on the weekend.

@Yomegami: I just remembered, Syrni Sandra and Jen Jara are supposed to stay away from the frontlines of fighting mind-controllers for reasons stemming from what happened last time Sarquoql got ahold of them. You and I could perform thread necromancy on Space Liner. I had all sorts of ideas with them in that setting that I never got to use because everyone else abandoned the thread while I was still interested.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight. That took way too long, but there you go. Hopefully things will be less stressful this week.
They'll turn your world aroundI'm not much interested in trying to revive Space Liner, to be perfectly honest. Again, the last post was over two months ago, which gives me the impression that on the whole people are done with it. Furthermore, the sorts of characters I'd want to work with would probably be better suited for a new setting.
This assuming people would be okay with a new thread in the first place; as it stands, it seems everyone's content with just Adventure for the time being.

Congrats! I'm starting a new job myself this Friday.
Given all this busyness entering/existing within our schedules, has anyone given thought to possibly dividing the big Forest group? We're now at 6 writers in that one zone, and with Mael busy elsewhere, I don't forsee a lot to naturally disturb the status quo, meaning long periods of time for each post round without much going on beyond introductions, lunch, and maybe some magical failings.
They'll turn your world around

Might not have time to write until Wednesday. There's more to do than I had initially realized.
