Since, as far as Kaitlyn, Kris and James are concerned, everyone else has just buggered off, they'll be heading back to the bikes and riding out to the ghost town "alone".

To limit the amount of time "playing with myself", I won't bother writing posts for that group until they are likely to encounter someone else or they actually arrive at the ghost town.

Are there any characters they are likely to encounter within the next hour or so between the town and the ghost town?

Maybe if the Ghost Town was in the opposite direction. tongue

Murquoql is about to be in position to see into the parking lot. Edit: I posted, she's past the North Gate now. She'd likely encounter Kaitlyn, Kris and James in the parking lot, but she wouldn't follow them.

Alternatively, if Syrni Sandra and Jen Jara haven't had enough of their personalities showcased to compare and contrast to Kim Possible and Shego, I could have them appear in Kaitlyn, Kris and James's path instead of at the peak of Mt. Bifrons.

By the way, whose turn is it to post at the Restaraunt? Wain Fallwen showed up there.

Well, I had planned on having Diantha and Cynthia go to the ghost town... but diplomacy seems to be on fire at this point.

Thanks to several flavors of teleportation shenanigans, there is the distinct possibility that everyone who went to Spell Nexus could end up beating "The Mad Bastards" (and Kaitlyn) to the Ghost Town.

Next round, I shall have Fridge Logic kick in and have a noble spirit dispatched as a messenger.

Just a heads up, I'll be going on a trip from tomorrow afternoon to Sunday night, so posting might be slightly disrupted. Probably not greatly though.

Managed to post in Adventure, though I'm not entirely satisfied with it. Think that the wagon group would reach the small river by the next posts?

Got a forest post pretty much ready, but waiting on input from Wolf/Maitu. Going to be traveling for a while through spotty connectivity zones, so that'll make posting iffy. Might hold onto it until he second half of the Wasteland situation is complete, which itself shouldn't take too much longer.

Provided that work doesn't leave me mentally exhausted, I should be able to get a post done this evening after I get home.

At least I'm no longer feeling emotionally/creatively broken after a day of work, so there's at least the possibility of a post.

Got the laptop I use fixed, so now I'm back in posting business, with full access to my very zany archive of info for my stories.

...I still need a proper map...

Anyway, I've got a few goddesses to name gave all the elven goddesses names, just in case it comes up for some reason.

@Will De Regio: Nyorla's plan for getting rid of the jellyfish involves levitating shredded morsels of moufreta meat in a trail leading away from both the wreckage and her current position. What would happen if she accidentally sends the jellyfish towards the general direction of the Lanceros, and would you be okay with that accident happening? It doesn't need to happen, if you prefer, I can have her send the jellyfish anywhere but that direction. It was just a crazy spur-of-the-moment idea I came up with.

[down]Uh, more specifically, I was wondering if the jellyfish would draw the Lanceros's attention to the characters...

I'd imagine there would be a popped jellyfish should it get too close to the nest. In all honesty, I had mostly forgotten about it.

Regarding James, Kris, and Kaitlyn... I was actually under the impression that they would wait for everyone to get back from the shop before heading out as a group. Then again, they already had an awkward experience with a necromancer before, so sticking with the group might have led to another such experience thanks to Nui's presence. (To be fair though, while thinking about what sort of powers Nui had, the raising of Voodoo Zombies never really came to mind... overall they're more of a Gadgeteer Genius with Soul Power.) Well, that and the lingering distrust for Valerie.

Like Will said though, there's the possibility of them catching up.

Nobody actually said to them, 'wait here, we'll be back' and, given that there's been no suitable explanation from Justin or Valerie for Justin's actions - Valerie actively cutting short any chance of an explanation - it just seems that everyone's buggered off and there's no point hanging around.

Nui's explanation might explain the 'how' or the 'what' of the earlier altercation, but not the why or the wherefore - and James gave Justin a chance to explain himself and that chance, for whatever reason, was rejected.

Feeling too bushed to write anything creative tonight, going to take it easy and put my feet up.

@Ryuhza: Definitely got better - the arsehole responsible for me coming home from work feeling broken is no longer my manager and no longer employed at the business, let alone the department. That's done wonders for my mental health and general feelings of well-being.

I'm having one of those days again... Not feeling terribly creative or motivated. I like this site and most of it's users, but part of me is starting to question whether it's really healthy for me to be here.

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

I knew Jann and Rosalind would have to part ways eventually and that Rosalind would be upset at the prospect. I drafted for that happening much, much later, but if you choose to quit, I could tweak what I wrote to fit the earlier-than-anticipated departure.

You have an out if you need it. I would prefer that you keep participating, but if you must quit, could you please at least give our characters a chance to say their goodbyes?

If you choose to keep participating, Rosalind has plans to reveal her crush on Jann to him when the sun sets in-thread — or earlier if either a good opportunity arises or Jann asks the right questions. At her age, she no longer dithers for months on end about saying stuff like that.

[up][up][up]It must have slipped my mind... I think Nui probably would have told them to wait, so I could potentially retcon that... that or tell them to meet somewhere along the way, like at the mouth of the river.

[up][up]Yes, I know the feeling... I for one really enjoy having you around, and it is possible to just ignore certain parts of the site... but it's up to you.

@Pyxo: Yes, forgot to mention, I think it's reasonable to say the group reaches the river by next post.

[up] Nah, don't retcon it, coz then I'd have to edit my post as well. Let's just let it play forward from where it is.

Busy day yesterday, so couldn't get any writing done. We'll see how things go this evening or tomorrow morning (it's Friday morning, here, so I'm off to work soon).

@Corvidae: I'm glad you're feeling less not-okay and I hope you continue to feel better.

@Will: Uh, more specifically, I was wondering if there was a chance of the jellyfish drawing the Lanceros's attention to Nyorla and company. I think at this point I'll just have Nyorla send the jellyfish "away" in an unspecified direction and leave the ball in your court as to how much the Lanceros gets involved.

I've been to the doctor and I'm feeling a little drained from that excursion. It shouldn't affect my posting by that much, but just in case it does, y'all will know why.

Ah, right. There is the possibility of the lanceros noticing Nyorla and 0037, and with it comes the possibility triggering a hostile response from a 150+ metric ton Mama Bear.

And now that I think about it, there really should be a giant angry wyvern standing over them right now, breathing down their necks for them to get off her lawn.

[up] The warning sign says the Lanceros is nocturnal. Does that mean it's extra cranky from being woken up? How sensitive are its eyes to bright light?

Nyorla is nocturnal too but she and all the other Mayatans present have a bad case of the interplanetary equivalent of jet lag.

Managed to get the posts done, sorry to anyone who was waiting on me.

Was a great day at work today, managed to achieve a number of objectives and also got word that we're finally getting Wi-Fi in the building where I spend most of my working week, which means my work environment is rapidly catching up with the 21st Century... in just the last couple of weeks we've got rid of Gaslighting and got Wi-Fi...
