If anyone's wondering about the lack of postage, 1. Writer's block, again, and 2. I just started a vacation that's likely to have spotty internet connection.
If I get a chance to post I'll try, but right now's not that chance.

Outlining isn't really the issue. I can't get the nitty gritty out. I'm not great at drafting; I always want to change things as soon as I write them down.
They'll turn your world aroundWell, Adventure is certainly living up to the goal of putting one's characters into situations outside their comfort zones and exploring how they react to things!
I'm going to have to put some thought into how Aubrey is going to react to all this talk about ungodly matters such as psychic powers, necromancy and undead with their souls in containers...
But it won't be tonight and I'm waiting on Míron, anyway.
Man, my writing in University is bad. Laying it on thick all over the place. I'm not sure if I've made it all the way through this one since 2012, and now I remember why.
Funny to see all the old details that have shifted around. Joseph's hometown has probably changed four times by now.
They'll turn your world around
That's all part of development
I've had a number of details change about my characters and their worlds. In Capital City, the not-yet-named 'Mad Bastards' and Sir Archibald were trying to find the means to make plastics, since then I've worked out that they would actually have a number of organo-plastics available to them as well as the means to make the precursors for pretty much any traditionally fossil-fuel-derived plastic - albeit at a cost, making plastics expensive. That change has been reflected in later stories without any fanfare...
Unlike the glaring retcon where a number of characters started out smoking cigarettes at the beginning of Frontier and were vaping at the end of it (and in Space Liner and Adventure) - throughout the course of the lengthy Frontier thread, a lot got changed.
I'm still alive! I'm waiting on Killer Clowns and ladytanuki.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Ladytanuki, in case you're wondering, Viporis culture has an "it takes a village" attitude towards raising children. Between those children being able to teleport and the omnipresent danger of their home moon, that attitude is a necessity. Lucina, being a child, is going to unknowingly trigger the maternal facets of Syrni Sandra and Jen Jara. Syrni Sandra merely has to struggle with the cognitive dissonance of treating a child like a queen, but Jen Jara is a Child Hater, so her nature and culture are going to be warring within her. These are facets I haven't explored with these characters, so thank you for providing the opportunity.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Hmm... I'm going to have a fun time trying to figure out how Anti-Magic (Alice still has that ability, right?) would interact with the magic of Aria.
From what I can gather, magic in the KC-verse comes from an Eldritch Abomination.
Meanwhile, magical energy in the Ariaverse is generally neutral and is essentially an abundant natural resource.
Although, I've got the hilarious mental image of Alice poking a Kaiju-sized Eldritch Abomination hailing from Aria out of existence due to it being Made of Magic engraved in my mind.

Not forgotten, they're next. Trouble is just they take longer to write for because, A, they've a lot more to react to, and B, they're a lot more dynamic than Alice, which makes them harder to write for in general because things affect them more deeply. Then it's Gabriel once they're caught up. I got gym tonight but should have all sorted before EOD today, Friday morning at worst.

Remind me to keep Nyceme away from Alice. Liches are animated by magic, so I can just imagine Alice shaking Nyceme's hand and ending up paralyzing her.
It's also getting me thinking about what would happen if Nyceme's scepter got into contact with an antimagic field. Would the field dispel the magic keeping the soul attached to it, or would the very presence of the soul and how tightly it's bound form a protective shield of its own that would cancel it out?

Oooooh this'll be interesting. It's actually good for me too, as it just occurred to me that in the entire 5/6 of the first draft I wrote for the story she's in, nobody treated Lucina like a child. Might inspire me to have some random visitor to Solevaille do just that in the story.
With regards to characters changing over the course of threads... I know I've said this before, but I know that feeling all too well. On my end, Sinistrina is a prime example of that; her goals and attitudes towards the dead have changed drastically over the course of Dream II especially. What is really funny though is that in my very first post with her in Dream II, I had her say this: "I stand before Misery Manor, which I am doomed to protect." And then it wasn't until months later that I decided to make the manor her Soul Jar. Talk about accidental foreshadowing.

Yay, we'll both be helpful to each other!
Oh, man, you have my sympathy.
I'm gonna be super-duper busy with an unspecified thing for half of tomorrow and over the weekend, I'm pretty sure I won't have access to a computer during the weekend, so assume that I'll be completely Away From Keyboard until Monday.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.I just edited my latest Adventure post. Shouldn't affect Wolf's post, as it pertains only to those interacting with Nyceme (primarily Saen). I had forgotten about Saen asking for a quill and parchment and saw an opportunity to show off Nyceme's unusual book and pen.
So the "Not-Chaos-Hunters" (or at least some of them) and possibly Valerie are going to join Cormack's group? Sounds fun. I think Cormack will like Valerie, actually.
I will be posting for Cormack sometime tomorrow perhaps, but if Master of Chaos and/or Kkutwar want to have their characters meet up with him and Will's characters before I get to the post, that's fine. I might also be introducing a new character who will join the hunt for the nocturnal dragon... and it'll be a hilariously appropriate person for the job.
I also drew a picture of Sindar a few months ago and keep forgetting to scan it so I can post it here. Hopefully I'll remember to do that tomorrow. I think I have old ones of Nyceme and my new character as well (not Cormack; for him just picture Link and you'll get a close enough image).
Come, my child of the devil. Your mother is calling you. Hear my call in Hell's grand hall, where all our dreams come true.I've been waiting to see if Saen has any reaction to Justin's demon. So I've been spending my time (hopelessly) trying to get Kos-Mos in Xenoblade 2, before switching over to Vrv. I would like to know more specifically why he would react so to Valerie.
Speaking of, the whole misunderstanding thing was meant to establish how odd she is. Like, she wasn't meant to be taken so seriously and all that. Honestly, I'm unsure if Wolf legitimately has a issue with them. Basically though, I just wanted to know what everyone thinks of the three of them.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Well, it took a while to get my head into creative writing space, but I've managed to catch up.
Spent the morning doing an entirely different type of writing in an attempt to tackle the problems that have been causing me immense stress for quite some time now and are coming to a head - major stuff happening mid week, after which I'm either going to be very happy and relieved or even more stressed out than I am now.
Will try to ensure I get my posts up, regardless.
My plot bunnies have been breeding over the weekend. So I decided to feed them to my moufretas and dump them in the Hellmouth, where they will surely be eaten by demons. I mean, it's not like rabbits became toxic, spiny critters a few generations after being introduced to Abyssia.
*beat*
Oh no, the plot bunnies are escaping...
Anyway, back to more-or-less seriousness, I'll be working on a few posts for Adventure.
I have finally done it: scanned Sindar's picture
. Will be adding it to the thread page soon. Also working on a post for him.
EDIT: And posted. Will wait for Eterna and Daird before continuing on with Nyceme. Also one does not simply resist the temptation to use the "one does not simply" meme when they have a chance.note

That's right. Dream II, Space Liner, and now Adventure. Thought I had ideas for the latter two, but they either fizzled out or hit other complications.
I think the issue I'm having right now is that my current solo writing effort demands a grounded setting, so writing in the CDTs isn't going to help much.
