Crewe looked him up and down, then rubbed at her own collar. "Uh, I was thinking I'd just blast it off or something, but that sounds a lot safer."
She glanced around for any trolls, then said in a somewhat lower voice, "You're one of those rebels the trolls were talking about, right? Not just some random stranger?"
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!@Strigon: That sounds like it should work, so it does. You get applauded again. A male human wearing a fedora calls out to you, "Thank you! Are you from Prospit?"
@Bindlestick: A man phases into view, standing near the far wall. He's wearing a suit like Protoman's, recolored a dark, sooty gray. He says, "I'm Bob. Sorry, Tavros, I don't have time to play Pokemon today." He forms his Arm Cannon and begins charging it up.
@Crewe: The man puts a finger over his lips, then nods. He says, "Come this way if you want freedom." He starts leading you to one of the abandoned factories.
@Bamack1:[OOC: Yes, your portal gun is fully upgraded now.] You land on Not-Batman's head. Unfortunately, he seems to be Made of Iron. He grabs you and tosses you back through the portal in the ceiling. With one hand.
There are a number of props suitable for cartoon violence scattered around the room. Atlas and P-body get creative with their portal guns. Harley has to dodge a falling anvil, and the Scarecrow gets a bucket of paint on his head. Kirby jumps up and blows fear gas right in Pierrot's face. Pierrot screams and starts shooting at Pennywise. Samus and Shepard join in, reckoning that Pennywise is the most dangerous enemy.

I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus"@Bamack1: Not-Batman starts falling through the portals. The robots do as you ask, trapping the Scarecrow in an infinite loop. Pennywise is clinging to the ceiling, so it doesn't fall into the portal.
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus"I use the AC's loudspeakers to reply
"No. I am from another world. A Raven."

Shameless Self-promotion ho!@Strigon: The fedora guy says, "That's a good question. How did you get here? Maybe we could leave that way."
@Crewe: The presumed rebel knocks on the door of one of the factory's loading docks. It rolls up like a garage door. It's big enough for the Autobots to drive through. The rebel waves you inside.
[OOC: Current status of other characters:
@Altimeter: On the Kirby page, battling the second form of Zero. You have just used a Maxim Tomato to recover all your health. Rich is with you. He has lost most of his health, is temporarily stunned, and is offline to the other characters because his headset was damaged.
@Bamack1: On the The Joker page with Kirby, Samus Arun (both from A Game of Gods), Commander Shepard, Atlas, and P-body. Currently battling Harley Quinn, the Scarecrow, Mad Pierrot, Pennywise, and someone dressed up like Batman who probably isn't him.
@Bindlestick: On the Adam and Eve Plot page, inside a Portal Picture to the Futurama comic, visiting Feferi. Bob has just appeared after stunning Worf with a fireball. Equius and Tavros are here. The Trolls do not appear to be hostile, only Bob. Bob is charging his Arm Cannon.
@Deadbeatloser22: On the Fourth-Wall Observer page, inside a Portal Picture to Homestuck, specifically, Jack Noir's Cubicle of Vigilance. You are confronting several imps, who have just been distracted by Truman Burbank.
@Gamerex27: On the The Order Of The Stick page, with Bartz and Yahtzee's Author Avatar. There are a number of demon cockroaches scurrying around on the floor.
@Mario Guy 128: On your way to the Homestuck page with Superman.
@Philosopher: Inside a Portal Picture to Gunnerkrigg Court, on that page. The Doctor is there with his TARDIS, as well as John, Rose, Dave, and Jade. There is a huge, weird-looking crab creature present, but it doesn't appear to be hostile. You were asking The Doctor if it is possible to go back to a time when the crab creature isn't present, for some reason.
@Splitting Infinity: On the Meanwhile, in the Future… page, inside a Portal Picture to Doctor Who. Specifically, inside a large metal structure marked with the SBURB Spirograph logo. You have found a large computer console with eight screens. A recorded message from Rich advised you to turn it on.
@Stargirl93: On the Magical Girl page, apparently looking for some kind of Green Lantern Ring.
Note: If I post, and you don't see an "@you" in the post, it means I'm waiting on a response or reaction from your character, so just go ahead and post something. If nothing else, call Rich and ask what to do next. (At the moment, you will get the Magical Database rather than Rich, but it serves the same purpose, if less user-friendly.)]

I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus"@Bamack1: You knock It off the ceiling. It slashes your leg, and you're bleeding badly. You fall to the floor, while It falls through another portal. Not-Batman stops falling. Hovering in midair, he shoots portals behind Samus and Shepard. There are now eight portals scattered around the room. It emerges through all eight portals at the same time. Samus and Shepard don't see the creature(s) behind them.
@Crewe: You enter the factory. It's dark, and it takes your eyes some time to adjust. You notice the walls are covered with tinfoil. There are humans and Trolls here. The humans include Buck Rogers, Wilma, and Dr. Theopolis from the '70s TV show. There's also an annoying robot named Twiki.
@Philosopher: The Doctor says, "Oh, very well." He takes you on a short trip in time, and the creature is gone. The Doctor says, "There, it won't be back for several hours."
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus""I got blown away by my own weapon by a despicable creature and sent tumbling through this... Void."
Shameless Self-promotion ho!@Strigon: Fedora guy says, "Oh, that might have been you we saw, then. Did you come in through there?" He points to what appears to be a hole in the sky, near the purple planet. It's tiny at this distance, but you think it may be the hole you fell through.
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus"Gamer waves politely at the cockroaches, before looking around for anything strange.
"Is there some sort of Weirdness Censor going on on the pages? If we went to the Gender Bender page, would we all turn into women? Or are we going to turn into stick figures on this page?"
Is that stuf going to happen? What will happen when someone inevitably visits the Sonic page? Should I keep playing Bartz and Yathzee, or is that your job, Rich?
"USE YOUR WORDS NOT THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE" ''memyselfand I 2"@Gamerex27: There is a degree of Weirdness Censor going on. Characters treat things that would be really strange in their fictional worlds as Unusually Uninteresting Sights, and they don't really notice that you don't match their art style. In The Order Of The Stick, you don't become stick figures, and nobody comments on how weird you look.
In the "museum" virtual reality of the wiki, some page/rooms are Self Demonstrating Articles. You generally have to go there to find out what's up. I will reveal that Gender Bender isn't one of them, though you'll need to be careful what you touch if you want to keep the equipment you were born with. The self-demonstrating aspect is generally invoked when it's convenient for the plot, rather than random silliness.
As for running NP Cs, I'd prefer you stay focused on your character. The theme of this roleplay is Tropers wielding the Power of Trope to solve Trope-related problems In a World… Made Out of Trope. I don't mind if you have your companion NP Cs engage in banter, but when there's stuff to be done, I want to see your character taking the lead, even if it's only telling your companions what to do.
One of the demon cockroaches says, "Hello! Would you like to join Team Evil? We're always hiring! We're taking applications right now. Just go through the portal." It waves it antennae at a Portal Picture that shows a hobgoblin sitting at a desk. On the wall behind the desk is a picture with a plaque labeled "Employee of the Month: Jack Noir."
@Bamack1: [OOC: There's eight portals because there's four characters present with portal guns and they've all created two portals each. And in case you were wondering, Pennywise is an Eldritch Abomination that comes from a place with Alien Geometries and canonically has the ability to be in multiple places at once. It was chosen to be here for those reasons.] Shepard and Samus get your warning in time to dodge attacks from behind. They open fire on their attackers. This appears to damage all the Pennywises at the same time. It's now very badly injured.
Kirby inhales a crossbow loaded with a pan of foul-smelling goulash. He begins spitting goulash at Harley.
Not-Batman shoots a portal behind Samus and one over his own head. He flies up through the portal and comes out behind Samus. He's just a few feet away from you with his back to you.
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus"Gamer blinks. "Uhhh....I'll look into it. See what it entails. I have to read the actual contract, just in case it's being written by someone like Thief."
Gamer and his allies head through the portal to investigate.
"USE YOUR WORDS NOT THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE" ''memyselfand I 2"@Gamerex27: The hobgoblin says, "Hello! Would you like an application?" If you take one, it's basically a D&D 3.5 character sheet.
@Crewe: They introduce themselves. [OOC: I forgot Dr. Theopolis was actually a computer carried by Twiki. I think I had him confused with a Battlestar Galactica (the original) character. It's been like thirty years since I saw either.] There's a Troll who apparently some kind of technician. He tells you, "Humans aren't allowed out in public without collars, but you'll like our version better. Ours don't contain explosives."
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me. —Tool, "Lateralus""Uh....I'm still waiting for my other job interview for Antiheroes Anonymous to come back. Maybe I'll sign up if my application there is rejected. Anyways, I have some questions to ask you. My partners and I are searching for the wild beasts known as Mary Sue. Or, even better, have you seen anything else strange recently? Like portals to museum rooms or people dropping out of the sky from nowhere?"
"USE YOUR WORDS NOT THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE" ''memyselfand I 2"

I grin upon seeing the raptors applaud.
"Time to put on a show!"
I activate Dual Face's Anti-missile system and use manual override to aim and fire it's extremely accurate laser at the pawns without harming the hostages.
