This trope sound really specific, to the point where I'm how exactly it's a trope. If it is about one female character being the best female physical fighter in the cast or team and having the big breasts, then a good portion of the examples on this page are wrong.
Its an aggregate trope. Its about how you can tell the approximate physical strength of all the women in the cast by chest size. Yes, many of the examples are wrong. They think its a character trope.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Ok well here are the examples removed from Anime and Manga section alone. A lot of "so and so is a big breasted Action Girl"
- Several anime/manga crank the trope Up To Eleven by having most of the female cast fit this trope.
- All the female fighters in Ikki Tousen are outrageously well-endowed, as if the powers of the ancient warrior spirits manifest themselves in certain physical aspects (one wonders what the guys got - although it's perhaps best not to go there). Of special mention is Sonsaku Hakufu, whose breast-size appears to be indicative of her tremendous power and even appeared to get an upgrade in the third season. Now if only her mental capacity would be of the same level.
- If you're either a Distaff Counterpart or a Gender Flip of the Chinese Warrior Guan Yu, you're pretty much guaranteed to have these. It happened in Ikki Tousen, and then Koihime Musou repeats this.
- Variable Geo plays the trope almost to identical levels (being centered around a tournament of waitresses), though it (especially in later OVAs) tends to accentuate the "boobs" part of the trope more so than the "steel" part.
- Sekirei, which is best described as a "battle harem", is one of the more recent entries to this group. It deals with an assortment of mostly cute, scantily-clad girls duking it out (although some boys are in there too). Most of them have an "extra large" breast size.
- The Burn Up series plays it pretty straight in all its incarnations, but especially once Burn Up W came along (Burn Up Scramble changes things around but keeps to the trope). Rio Kinezono fits the trope perfectly, being a close-combat specialist, but all but one of the ladies of the squad fit to lesser extent: gun nut Maya, Wrench Wench Nanvel, even the squad captain (who changes depending on the reality). The only exception is Lilica, who is only modestly-endowed.
- Real Bout High School is similar but to a lesser extent. Though Ryoko Mitsurugi The Heroine is paraded around, most of the females are both skilled fighters and of comparable endowment. Unlike Ikki Tousen and Variable Geo, the Fanservice and physical exaggerations here are much more subdued.
- Black Lagoon also applies to a subtle extent. Most of the females in this work, while not being overly-endowed, do tend to show strongly attractive figures while at the same time being just plain deadly.
- Lina Inverse of Slayers inverts the trope. No one doubts her ability to handle herself in a fight; at the same time, everyone seems to note her underdeveloped figure.
- In Azumanga Daioh, Sakaki is a Huge Schoolgirl with the most impressive physique and appearance. The only exception is Minamo, who's a superb athlete but modestly endowed.
- Tenjho Tenge: Maya Natsume (in her adult form), is kind of ridiculously large-breasted, and easily the most powerful of the main characters. Her younger sister Aya is only a little smaller (but still rather large), and is hopelessly outclassed by Maya.
- Lampshaded during a fight with a shapeshifter: after she takes Aya's form, she notes how large her breasts are and that it's a miracle she can fight so effectively.
- Signum, the leader of the Wolkenritter, is one of the best melee-combatants of the protagonists in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and also the one with the most height and pure muscle strength. She has also been dubbed "Boob Monster" by Vita during that one time in a public bath. Given that she's an Expy of Lamia Loveless, it's sort of inevitable.
- The civilian Suzuka, who has a humongous chest after the first timeskip (that's when they're age 15, for those counting at home), but although she doesn't fight per se, her amazing strength in PE and the fact that she wasn't expelled from a magical barrier hints that she could. The Expanded Universe hasn't elaborated past that, but the prevailing theory is that she's a vampire, like her sister was in Triangle Heart 3 Sweet Songs Forever.
- Subaru, her older sister Ginga, and StrikerS Fate, all skilled close-combat fighters, are rather well-endowed too.
- Reinforce is another example, who is rather busty the bustiest character and makes her appearance by effortlessly forcing Nanoha, Fate, Arf and Yuuno to retreat at her power.
- Balsa from Moribito.
- Kallen/Karen of Code Geass. Undoubtedly, she is the most endowed, and she's easily the most physically active member of the Black Knights, being their elite mech pilot. In fact, she's pretty much the only woman in their ranks who's involved in any actual fighting. (C.C. does occasionally wander in the danger zones, but usually doesn't actually fight.)
- On the other side, Cornelia was far from shortchanged in the chest department, and she's one of the more threatening and competent mech pilots. And, as recent episodes can attest, is a pretty good swordswoman.
- According to the sources, the one with biggest measurements in the whole series is not Kallen, but Milly, followed by Marianne. It may fit Marianne well enough, but Milly is seriously not included in any fighting. At all. It's lampshaded in one of the season 1 extras, where Millay comments on Shirley's well-endowed yet athletic figure, to which Shirley replies that Milly's more voluptuous by comparison.
- Ryoko of the Tenchi Muyo series. Very well endowed (and proud of it)... and in some realities is able to fight off the local galactic superpower. Slight aversion as well, since Mihoshi is pretty close (or even bigger), but doesn't have the raw power of Ryoko.
- Not true, or at least not always. According to the background material in Mahou Shoujo Pretty Sammy, Ryoko has a bust size of 78cm, while Mihoshi is 88cm. And in the same book, Aeka has a 79cm chest. Also, depending on your point of view, Mihoshi may be the most powerful Non-Goddess member of the cast.
- Ryoko has had her ass handed to her by: Kagato (at least 3 times and probably many more), Misaki, Washu (repeatedly), Aeka, Airi, Clay, Azaka and Kamidake, Tenchi, her own monster, Yosho, Yuzuha, and a checkout clerk.
- It was a common joke with the old Hellsing TV series that apparently vampirism made womens breasts grow, as Seras' assets became much more noticeable after she was turned into a vampire. The OAV avoids this, as she's always had large breasts. It also sticks to the manga depiction of her first appearance being in a police uniform with a bulletproof vest - not exactly the most flattering outfit - so it doesn't become noticeable until she switches to that Hellsing agent uniform.
- Very much Kanokon. The sealing of Chizuru's power is represented by her breasts shrinking. When her power returns, so do the breasts.
- In Basilisk, there are three kunoichis who are not only top fighters for their clans, but also had huge breasts and were not afraid to use them to their advantage. In the Koga group, we have Okoi and Kagerou. In the Iga group, Akeginu.
- Kaguya-hime in Yaiba is the most powerful female character of the manga, and she noticably has the most well-endowed rack. On the other hand, well... she's the only powerful female character.
- Klan Klan in Macross Frontier is probably a serious contender for the largest breasts in anime history, and is the show's leading female ace pilot. Granted, she is 60 feet tall in her natural state, but if we look purely at proportions, she's still ludicrously well-endowed.
- Also notable is Grace O'Connor. When she downloads into a combat-focused instead of infiltration-focused cyborg body, she just happens to pick up even bigger breasts, and she's quite eager to fondle them.
- Inverted in Mahoromatic where Mahoro's tiny breasts are instrumental in her defeat of the much more endowed Shikijo-sensei during the town's annual battle royale.
- Played straight in that Shikijo could probably curb stomp anyone other than Mahoro, and Mahoro herself was amazed by her power.
- Tomoyo Sakagami in Clannad is pretty much the girl who does the most ass-kicking, and she has the second-largest chest (Key is usually secretive about the girls' measurements, but an artbook reveals that her bust size is 86 centimeters).
- Kyou Fujibayashi, who is second only to Tomoyo in the butt-kicking department, is also pretty well-endowed (third-largest at 82 centimeters). Still, Nagisa and Kotomi are not as small-chested as their meek attitude might suggest, so this is perhaps somewhat of an aversion. (Thank you for the small bit of revelation, Fanservice scene.)
- Inverted with Kotomi as she has the largest chest out of all the girls (88 centimeters), yet one of the weakest characters physically due to all that time in the library.
- In the Mazinsaga, at least three female-shaped Super Robots have their missiles nested on the robot's chests. If we go to the female characters, both female leads Sayaka Yumi and Jun Honoo are quite well endowed.
- In the AKIRA manga, this applies mostly because the other female warrior is a girl armed with a handgun, but also because the Boobs of Steel are huge and can carry enough guns to arm a small militia, the corresponding ammo and an unconscious boy while firing. She is however, also quite a bit older than the heroine - probably in her forties - and not really Fanservice material. (Which doesn't stop her from getting a shower scene.)
- Scrapped Princess has some of this going on, especially among the Peacemakers.
- Although Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch has little-to-no physical fighting and, thanks to the art style, everyone has a D-cup by thirteen, even it does this at the end of the manga. When Lucia gains the powers of Aqua Regina, she also appears to have grown another cup size.
- An unusual example in Steel Fist Riku. Martial artist Riku binds her respectably-sized breasts out of embarrassment, so she often appears flat-chested. But the cornerstone of her martial art style uses proper breathing techniques for power, and binding her chest so restricts her breathing. Removing the chest bindings releases her true power, and also frees her breasts to be their true size. Thus, her breast size is indirectly linked to her power level.
- Natsumi from the You're Under Arrest series. Always portrayed as being unusually strong due to the amount of exercise she does, she has been somewhat Flanderized in the third season with strength best described as superhuman. She even wins an pushing contest with a suspect - and both of them are pushing a car at the time.
- Inverted in Suzumiya Haruhi. Mikuru, who has the biggest boobs, is adorably pathetic and the only thing she seems to be good at is brewing tea. Haruhi, who also has a nice rack, is multi-talented in every way. Yuki, who's something of a Pettanko is bearer of immense Story-Breaker Power.
- The female characters in Aiki are all pretty busty, and the (only) Pettanko is among the weakest.
- Get Backers only has three female Recurrers who can fight, and 99-year-old witch Maria Noches is definitely the bustiest. Himiko might be more dangerous than her by the end, though.
- Momoe, the female coach of the Nishiura baseball team in Ookiku Furikabutte demonstrates her baseball skills in the first episode by hitting a ball straight up for several dozen feet. She also squeezes some intense orange juice
◊.
- Maki from Airmaster fits this trope perfectly — six feet tall, muscular, a superlative street fighter... and she's only beaten in breast size by Mina's Gag Boobs.
- Yoko of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, who possesses the largest pair of breasts in the series and is the only character shown to destroy Humongous Mechas without having one herself except Lordgenome.
- The Black Sisters are all over the place. Kiyoh is almost as large as Yoko and was a beastman hunter even before she joined Team Dai-Gurren, as well as a decent amount of Mecha-piloting skills. Kiyal however is just as skilled as Kiyoh, but flat-chested. And the middle sister Kinon, both in age and breast size, ended up as a Bridge Bunny.
- Played straight and subverted in Strike Witches, as whilst Charlotte is the largest and has the highest non-magical physical strength, her magical ability is increased speed; Gertrud's magical ability is enhanced strength, but she rarely has the opportunity to use it. Minna and Lynette are well-rounded but have sensory and sniping skills respectively.
- While there are a lot of busty characters in Bleach, the best examples of this trope are probably Harribel and Nel. Both of them are very well endowed and have held the rank of Third Espada. While it's still a bit unclear how strong Nel is in comparison to other characters, Harribel has shown herself to be capable of taking on Hitsugaya quite easily.
- Apparently one of the older and longer-running lieutenants, Rangiku Matsumoto is senior to most of the female population in the Soul Society in both fighting and age, but is more competent in filler.
- Rosario + Vampire has the sweet and cheery vampire, Moka Akashiya, but take off that Power Limiter of hers, in the form of a rosario around her neck, and watch her kick your ass as a super-vampire, the strongest being in the series thus far, and to boot, her chest size increases a few cups once this limiter is released. But only in the anime.
- Kaori Makimura of City Hunter not only has a much smaller breast size, but usually cannot hold her own against villains, and her only trusty weapon, the 100 ton hammer is usually reserved for Ryo. Conversely, some of the "more capable" females in the series (like Detective Saeko Nogami) usually have bigger bust sizes, thus usually leading to unwanted advances from Ryo.
- Averted and played straight at the same time in NEEDLESS. The Token Loli, Mio, is more or less flat chested, but is the one with greatest strength in the bishoujo squad. On the other hand, Riru, who has the biggest boobs in the anime so far (plus Absolute Cleavage), and is said to have the most powerful fragment of all.
- Nilval Nephew in Heroic Age is a skilled and experienced general, almost certainly the most competent military commander in the series. She also has huge breasts. Coincidence?
- Inverted in Steel Angel Kurumi, where the flat-chested Karinka owns the 2 well endowed characters with ease, then played strait when Kurumi gains a Super Mode followed by a permanent upgrade.
- Ouka, Tabby, and Pi from Dot Hack. All three are martial artists, as well as the best examples of Ms. Fanservice, Bare Your Midriff, and Stripperiffic in the entire series as well.
- Considering those are their MMO Digital Avatars, this is an example of a few other tropes as well.
- Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell is a very literal example of Boobs Of Steel. (Well, actually it's synthetic flesh and muscle overlapping a bone structure composed of titanium alloys and high tech ceramics, but who's counting?)
- Action Girl Mylene Hoffmann from 009-1 literally has Boobs Of Steel. Yes, she's extremely well-endowed... but as a Cyborg, her breasts are also machine guns.
- Misato Katsuragi from Neon Genesis Evangelion is a kickass fighter with E-cups.
- Same goes for Mari (D-cup) of Rebuild, though she's less a skilled fighter than she is persistent and aggressive.
- Rei isn't really lacking in the breast department either, being a C-cup at minimum. Especially after she merges with Lilith and briefly aquires KILOMETER-SIZED boobs. Even if we look at the proportions only, she's still the third largest in the entire franchise!
- Asuka on the other hand is a borderline inversion: she's an Action Girl alright but her bust is the second smallest in the cast. She doesn't appear to notice since she teases Shinji with them just the same.
- While the three best female athletes in Lucky Star (as far as we know) are from both ends of the buxomness scale, Konata does seem to make reference to this trope. When Yutaka tells her that Minami got the same time, Konata said she'd win in a race between them because of her boobs. (Of course, they're both on the flat end— but there's still a difference between "minimal" and "nil.")
- More than half the characters in Queens Blade fit the bill but the most blatant example is Cattleya, who towers over most of the other combatants in strength and bust size.
- Battle Angel Alita/Gunnm Alita/Gally is a petite combat cyborg with boobs of actual metal in most of her bodies. In Last Order however the author got a question about how she formed her armblade. This is answered by an omake 4-koma where she goes into a shower, absorbs her armblade and her boobs pop back out. Boobs of Damascus Steel apparently.
- Played straight and literally in a lot of anime series involving super robots such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Shinkon Gattai Godannar, Mazinger Z, where not only are the female pilots busty but also the female (shaped) mechs are quite busty as well. Note that usually it's not just for show.
- In Pokémon Special, Crystal has the biggest boobs out of all the female Dex Holders and is also the most professional and responsible. Yellow, the second oldest but being a clear Pettanko, has the weakest Pokémon with terrible battling skills. (However, this trope is inverted when she gets mad).
- Practically every girl in Fairy Tail.
- Most of the Pandoras in Freezing.
- Yukikaze and Leonmichelle from Dog Days
- Chifuyu, Houki, Maya and Charlotte from Infinite Stratos.

I'm seeing a good number of examples there that are worth saving (wonderful move posting it here—seriously). The Ikki Tousen example looks good; female fighters have larger breasts than female non-fighters, and one girl apparently got a chest upgrade at the same time as a power upgrade. Code Geass, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Rosario To Vampire are also good, though need to be fixed for natter a little. Those are the only ones I know.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Ikki Tousen sound like it's wrong from just what you said. It's not just fighters have big chests. It's "The biggest chest is on the strongest female fighter." If a series has multiple characters listed it's not this trope.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI didn't watch Ikki Tousen, the example just sounded good.
And I think the Breast Expansion ones should still stay. It seems like an invocation of the trope; "Okay, she's getting stronger, that means her chest has to get bigger."
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I don't think Ikki Tousen counts, isn't that a Panty Fighter? You'd expect the fighters to have big tits so they can bounce around during fights.
Fight smart, not fair.Just need some clarification, is this the "best female physical fighter" or the "Strongest female physical fighter" because there's a can be a huge difference between the two.

I'm inclined to go with strongest, but am willing to make allowances for a character who is very strong and the best. A Fragile Speedster is right out, even if they're the best.
Fight smart, not fair.Alright this is from the videogame section. Won't lie, some of the examples might have been cut simply because it's vague whether or not they fit this trope. So it the do please rewrite them back in the page.
- In Tekken, Nina Williams, who's an assassin, probably has the largest bust size. Asuka Kazama, has a large bust size as well, and she's notably hot headed.
- Ryu Hayabusa's demon-hunting female counterpart Rachel from the X Box remake of Ninja Gaiden. Team Ninja seems to enjoy this trope.
- Ivy and ESPECIALLY Taki from Soul Calibur see more combat between games than the other female cast members and have significantly larger "equipment."
- Ivy in particular, as she seems to be assaulted by someone with Breast Expansion-inducing powers between each game.
- Setsuka and Sophitia now count too. While Setsuka was always in the same league as Taki (and maybe Ivy), her loose clothing somewhat hid that, and Sophitia in 3 was large, but at least on a realistic level. However, in the fourth installment, Setsuka wears much tighter clothing, and Sophitia, at least in her 1P costume, has been upgraded to the same league as Taki and Ivy.
- Rainbow Mika from Street Fighter Alpha comes to mind. She's slightly (but noticeably) better stacked than Chun-Li and Cammy, and is a female wrestler who relies more on heavyweight throws and slams than fancy techniques. It's hard to say whether she's actually stronger than the rest of the female characters, but she's certainly more strength-based.
- Chun-Li herself is no slouch in this department either, especially as compared to Cammy and Sakura.
- Although not proportioned this way in her original appearance, Maki Genyrusai got a major upgrade in Capcom vs. SNK 2, raising her to at least a G-cup. Note that her special moves include a haymaker and about five different ways to leap ten feet in the air and drop people on their heads.
- Chun-Li herself is no slouch in this department either, especially as compared to Cammy and Sakura.
- The Nasuverse: Arcueid Brunestud (the titular Tsukihime, or Moon Princess) is the strongest of any central character, and has one of the largest busts (though they don't seem that big in the visuals).
- Well...not before Shiki gets her shirt off at least...
- In the Galaxy Angel gameverse, Forte has the highest firepower and also the largest chest, making this fit even for people that fight in spaceships. When not flying her fighter, Happy Trigger, she indulges in an obsession with Rare Guns, and blows a few people up with them in the anime, too. Still, she doesn't fight hand-to-hand, so there's no reason besides this for her chest to be that prominent (or shown off).
- In the Anime and Manga, however, Forte can and does fight up close - and extremely competently, able to wrestle the very combat capable (and second-largest-chested of her group) Lily C. Sherbert of the Rune Angel Troupe.
- In fighting games, Guilty Gear plays this straight with Baiken
◊, who seems to put a lot of force into her attacks, and VERY stacked. Dizzy
◊, by comparison, relies on magic for her powers and is rather modest in her proportions.
- But there's also May, the game's token loli. Proportionate to her size, she may well be the strongest character, wielding an anchor as big as she is with ease.
- Then there's Bridget, who's tiny AND weak...wait, she's a what?
- But there's also May, the game's token loli. Proportionate to her size, she may well be the strongest character, wielding an anchor as big as she is with ease.
- Prier of La Pucelle, who was capable of kicking a hole in a lead door when she was Human, then became a Demon Lord, has pretty much the largest chest of any major character in a Nippon Ichi game.
- Salome from Makai Kingdom might have bigger breasts than Prier, but she might be taller, too. She's a fairly tough Overlord in the game, and she'd be even more powerful if she wasn't feeding her power to Zetta.
- Yuugi Hoshiguma of Touhou possesses both the largest pair of breasts in the entire series (as an official drawing to promote Subterranean Animism demonstrates) and enough strength to tear apart mountains with her bare hands. Contrast with fellow oni Suika Ibuki, who is at least as strong as Yuugi but is as developed as a six-year-old.
- ZUN's drawings depict nearly everyone with completely flat chests (though it has been averted on occasion recently), leaving fans to decide which characters "actually" possesses large breasts and commonly invoking this trope, with targets including both some of the strongest characters in setting (Yuyuko Saigyouji, Yukari Yakumo, Eirin Yagokoro, Kanako Yasaka, Yuuka Kazami) and two of the weakest (Letty Whiterock, Hong Meiling). Meiling's depiction is the only one that fits the trope entirely however, as while her magical and danmaku abilities are pitiful she is a master martial artist and an expert at physical combat.
- Lara Croft, obviously.
- While we're on the topic of Robot Girls, Xenosaga's KOS-MOS is strong enough to punch out Humongous Mecha, swing a fifty-foot grabber arm as a giant three-section staff, and fire a triple .50-calibre minigun in each hand without even bracing. She also, particularly in her final form, is built with the largest bust in the cast.
- Do a google search for Mass Effect's Matriarch Benezia. You'll find two categories of results: discussions of her humongous "biotic power storage units" and complaints about how difficult the fight with her is.
- Samara in Mass Effect 2 (and maybe Miranda as well).
- Shepard herself. Apparently one of the upgrades the Lazarus Project provided was a superior bust size.
- Though the game also offers the rarer bodybuilder look for Shepard, (seen here
◊) with some armors having the same chest for male and female Shepard.
- Though the game also offers the rarer bodybuilder look for Shepard, (seen here
- Shepard herself. Apparently one of the upgrades the Lazarus Project provided was a superior bust size.
- Samara in Mass Effect 2 (and maybe Miranda as well).
- Inverted in Castlevania (mostly shown in Judgment) amongst the good guys. Shanoa, despite being the most physical oriented girl, has modest boobs (but outset with her tremendously Sexy Back). On the other hand, Sypha has very big ones (And Maria is... well...). Played straight by Carmilia, who proves that Evil Is Sexy.
- In Bunny Must Die, the main character is normally a flat chested little girl. In game, she can get an item which gives her the ability to cause a sizable increase to breast size. As part of the transformation, her weapon strength and ability to take damage improve at the cost of agility.
- She also now shakes the ground when landing. They may actually be steel.
- Ashelin in the Jak And Daxter series may not necessarily have the largest breasts, but she certainly has the most cleavage.
- In Blaz Blue, this is played straight and averted. Noel Vermillion is a Pettanko and she mostly uses Gun Kata, while Rachel Alucard has the proportion of a loli and doesn't do much direct fighting. Litchi Faye-Ling AKA Boobie Lady obviously has the biggest breasts and dabbles more into close-range fighting. And don't let Taokaka's look fools you. She fights even in a more closer range than Litchi, and behind that coat is a pair of boobs that is probably second biggest in the game. While Nu... well, she summons swords from afar and she has similar template with Noel, so her size equals Noel.
- The sequel includes Tsubaki Yayoi, Noel's classmate. While not THAT big, she is more action/close-range oriented than Noel and has bigger breasts than her, but then it is subverted that she's more of the Badass Bookworm type. Makoto Nanaya, one of the DLC characters and another of Noel's classmate, is a 100% brawler, and hers are even bigger than Tsubaki.
- Samus Aran in Metroid. Incredibly stacked. Incredibly powerful.
- Etward Deisler from Mana Khemia 2 is stacked beyond belief and is easily one of the most physically adept characters in the game, (something she isn't even aware of half the time).
- In Fly FF, there have been entire rants on breast size by class. The most amusing example is the assist—They appear to have the biggest breasts for all first jobs, but either lose them entirely at second job, going Staff Chick Ringmaster, or gain even MORE cleavage for becoming the self-sufficient badass Billposter, who is arguably one of the best fighters in the game, whether 1v1 or AoE.
- The Fighter from Dungeon Fighter Online plays this totally straight.
- Stretch Panic plays this entirely straight. The only enemy in the game besides the boss fights are "Bonita Zakos", demons who take the form of hot women in bikinis, with BREASTS DOUBLE THE SIZE OF THEIR OWN BODIES THAT LITERALLY ACT AS SHIELDS. They will also use them to punch and ground pound you, and escape danger. The only way to defeat these buxom beauties is to get behind them and grab onto and stretch somewhere on their body that's NOT their boobs. Touching the breasts will have no effect, make you lose points, and if you do it too many times, they will explode and do damage.

The Queens Blade one is correct. It mentions that while several of the characters have huge breasts, the biggest one is the one who is easily the strongest.
Ah, the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha entry allows us to discuss a few questions regarding this trope. There are two who could count for this trope.
The first is Signum, who has been there ever since her introduction, is one of the few characters whose breast size was huge enough to be commented on ("Boob Monster, your heart is inversely proportional to your breasts"), and is consistently shown to be the strongest melee-ranged Lightning Bruiser in the cast, both in skill and power.
The next is Reinforce, the other character whose breasts size is huge enough to be commented on ("They're huuuuuuuuge"), and while her her magical strength oveshadows her physical strength, has demonstrated to be utterly ridiculous in that regard (she casually smashes a barrier that had blocked a Fantastic Nuke with one punch, and only needs Good Old Fisticuffs in a Fighting Game where everyone else uses a Magitek weapon for melee). However, she stays in the cast for a short time only, likely because of the ridiculous levels of power.
So, when there is someone who has only been in the franchise for a short time, temporarily upsetting the power and breast size balance, how would they be considered?

Re-added Queens Blade. I've never watched Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha but if those two characters, regardless of their showtime, are the strongest physical fighter on a team or the show itself then re-add them.
Also if there's any dialogue about a character's breasts, please make sure it's relevant to this trope.
These are the rest of the cuts. Anime and videogames had the lion's share of the examples. Any examples that either didn't or perhaps weren't written to fit this trope were remove. So if it's just a case of a poorly written examples please feel free to rewrite it.
- Lampshaded in Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil that Men Do in which, while questioning a villainess they just defeated, Spidey makes a crack about how Cat shouldn't be able to flip around the way she does with her chest size. Felicia retorts that her breasts act as a ballast.
- Power Girl. It helps that she's Kryptonian, giving her great strength. Like Superman, but proportional for her age and built.
- Teen Titans' Starfire, Big Barda, and Wonder Woman also count, and again, their not-exactly-normal (at best!) origins come into play.
- It's worth mentioning that Big Barda's appearance is based on a young Lainie Kazan, who was gorgeous and quite buxom back in The '70s.
- Alex Vance, the Bulleteer from Seven Soldiers, is a gorgeously curvy, well-endowed woman with super strength - and, thanks to an artificial metallic exodermis, they're literal Boobs Of Steel!
- Ms Marvel (and for that matter Rogue when she had Marvel's powers), She Hulk (though not her alter ego, Jennifer Walters), Titania, and Psylocke, all of Marvel Comics. As with Power Girl and other DC heroes, above, their physique... well, except for Psylocke's... has little to do with their actual physical strength, as it is simply impossible for any human, let alone one of their build. Aside from her psionic powers, though, Psylocke is pretty much a Badass Normal—though a very Badass Normal.
- Though She-Hulk and Titania (and Ms. Marvel to a degree) are muscular.
- Rob Liefeld
◊. Note that in Rob Liefeld's case this also applies to male
◊ (NSFW!) characters (Can you say "Squick"?)
- Red Sonja, although this varies according to the artist.
- Julie, the protagonist of Terry Moore's Echo, has Boobs of Plutonium. Which seems to give her superpowers.
- Channon Yarrow from Transmetropolitan: journalist, bodyguard, assassin-for-hire, occasional nun, ex-stripper, and the person to have around if you want to beat up a squad of Mooks or get a cab to stop for you during a thunderstorm in a riot zone.
- Clover from Blue Monday literally used her breasts to knock out a boy who wouldn't shut up about them. A tooth flew out.
- In Cerebus, the Cirinist fighters are generally stocky, broad-shouldered and stacked. They're also ruthlessly bloodthirsty masked warriors who are never, ever, portrayed as Hot Amazons. Have a look.

- Ms. Fantastic of the 1990s sex comic of the same name was a parody of Superman, having been rocketed to Earth from a doomed world. Like Kal-el, she had the standard flight, super-strength, etc. but she had the additional power in that women of her planet evolved electrically charged breasts to prevent them from being groped by males. Any man who so much grazes them is blasted to dust. The author later wrote that, in a porn comic, this created plot complications.
- Triumph of Halcyon plays with this a bit. She has a huge bodybuilders physique, but her breasts remain large and quite perky.
- Jonni Future, a character in the anthology comic Tom Strong's Terrific Tales, was conspicuously endowed. She took over the superheroing role from her Uncle John, and wore his same costume (!) which looked somewhat gay on him and great on her. Drawn by the amazing Arthur Adams, who clearly knows what he is about.
- There were two solid reasons Lana Clarkson was the Barbarian Queen. Includes a scene where Lana doesn't win a fight until she loses her top and emerges victorious in seno a seno combat.
- Fans of Police Academy coined the term "powerboobs" to describe Callahan.
- Ilsa She Wolf Of The SS (and sequels) - she's only as buxom and lustful as she is evil.
- Star Trek - Think Kleavage. Or as a Commander Riker put it, "Klingons don't do anything small, do they." Klingon women are also very strong.
- Some fans refer to the Duras sisters as "The Magnificent Four."
- Lost: Ilana most of all, but also Juliet and middle-aged Eloise Hawking.
- Eliza Dushku continued kicking asses and showing large cleavages in Dollhouse.
- The title character of Xena Warrior Princess.
- Olivia Benson. Hell, yes. In fairness, she's the only Action Girl about, but she sure does kick ass. In tight shirts.
- Stargate Atlantis has Teyla Emmagan.
- Stargate Universe has Lt. Vanessa James.
- In the Nip Tuck episode titled "Jenny Juggs", the title character, is a stripper with extremely large breast. Over the course of the episode she smashes a pumpkin, breaks a phone, and knocks out the protagonist... with her breasts.
- In the rapper Pitbull's "Dammit Man" video, a dude looking to score chicks comes across a large, really buff (muscular enough to take pride in showing off her abs) woman, downed him with a single punch showing she weren't interested. Funnily enough, she had the largest chest of any of the video girls in the music video.
- More of an urban legend, but it's commonly believed in Japan that exercise increases one's bust size, apparently with some exercise routines made just for that purpose. However, medical evidence says this isn't possible.
- Exercise may actually reduce breast size, since the bulk is made of fat and prolonged exercise burns fat stores. But don't tell anyone that is easily discouraged from exercising.
- Semi-averted in some Amazon myths, which state that Amazons would actually cut off a breast so as not to interfere with their longbows. It's also where they got their name: "Amazon" literally means "without breast".
- The concept was referenced in The Runelords. The beautiful warrior woman Myrrima, while training with a bow, found that her chest got in the way. She was told it was a common problem, and the best solution was to wear a tight vest that would squash them down. (Better than the alternative, I suppose...)
- This is also a historical Truth in Television regarding the battle maidens of some Sarmatian and/or Scythian tribes, wherein it was said that they would burn their right breast so as to better use their bows, though more than likely just myth and legend (Contrary to teenage boys' fantasies, breasts are not so big as to interfere with archery. Just ask any female archer.). Supposedly, this was done at childhood, before it even had a chance to grow, and would require the least amount of work and pain to remove. Which might be ironic, if the Amazon grew up to be a Pettanko ...

- Chyna, Jacqueline, Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus from World Wrestling Entertainment
- Although Trish clearly stuffed her unitard while in the ring; she was noticeably less endowed in bikini pictures.
- Asya from WCW.
- Rampage as seen in Justice League Unlimited is definitely of the "bigger in general" subtype: her rippling, solidly strong physique is just as unmistakable as her bust size.
- Crime-fightering superhero Stripperella has these. With nipples that can cut glass. Literally.
- Actually, that was a specially-designed bra, but the image is still greatly appreciated!
- On WITCH all of the girls get this when transformed into Guardians, but to various degrees:
- Will is a Subversion in that, as a human, she's completely flat chested and hates her puny physique but as a Guardian she's stacked and the most powerful character.
- Irma Lair, who is by far the largest of the girls in and out of costume, but in a subversion of Bigger Is Better she's actually too big, leading to many jokes about her literal Gag Boobs.
- Taranee is also extremely powerful (when angry), and has both huge breasts and a butt so big it boarders on parody.
- Played straight with Cornelia, a powerful earth-manipulating blonde high school snooty rich girl. She's endowed with a nicely oversized pair and flaunts it. She gets a temporary boost one episode that makes both her powers and her chest swell.
- Hay Lin is a Pettanko who gets some DD-cups when transformed, and subsequently becomes quite powerful.
- One episode of Totally Spies involved Alex using a strength-enhancing drug to fight a villain's 'roided up minions. Besides growing taller and getting muscular, it also causes her breasts to visibly swell in size.
- This trope becomes quite literal whenever any female robots in the Transformers franchise show up.
- Of particular note, are Blackarachnia from Beast Wars whose appearance was apparently modeled on an asian exotic dancer, Arcee from the G1 series who has been described as the robot equivalent of a naked Princess Leia and Thunderblast from Transformers Cybertron who not only has breasts hidden under her chestplate.... but NIPPLES
◊ as well. Yes, all that is absolutely true.
- Thunderblast's boobs even have Jiggle Physics noticeable in a few episodes. Yes. Thats right. A giant alien robot, with nipples and bouncing breasts.
- Not so much in the original cartoon and Marvel comics. Cartoon-Arcee
has the largest chest size of the female transformers shown (and her Marvel incarnation is noticeably flatter). Beta
also has robotic boobs, but is smaller. But then there's Elita One
, Chromia
, Firestar
, Moonracer
, and
others
. They aren't so busty.

- Black Cat and Silver Sable of The Spectacular Spider-Man.
- Out of the major female characters in Danny Phantom, it is Valerie Gray and Maddie—both who have bigger assets then main gals Sam and Jazz—that possesses the most experience in battle.
- Valerie also has a bit of the "bigger in general" aspect, as she could be described as Hollywood Pudgy (though her battle suit is strangely slimming).
- Steelheart from Silverhawks is a literal example.

Just to clarify based on what I see being removed and what is being left in.
What if she's the biggest and most skilled fighter on her team and can easily beat all the other members, but her whether she can lift a car like girl C or D is debatable. will she count?
If leader A is the biggest on her side of the war and size = magical power, she can smash through walls, take down buildings with her bare hands etc, but lost a fist fight without them or was beaten in skill (think Spiderman beating Rhino) will she count?
In these cases the biggest in the group is best at what the group does whether it's firing Magical Nukes, Wave-Motion Gun / Wave Motion Sword or a Person of Mass Destruction. But could lose a fair arm wrestling match against a random person off the street.

Well it's for character's that the strongest physical fighters, which probably means mecha pilots, gunslingers, mages, and fighter's that are Weak, but Skilled are out. So if you have a case where character A is the best fighter but it physically weaker than character B then character A wouldn't count if she had the big breasts. This trope should only apply to cases where a character who is the bustiest as the most amount of raw physical strength.
