Is the silver dart just an ordinary one? If it doesn't contain some sort of poison, it would only be a flesh wound. And considering how large the bird must be...I suggest using a gun or a sword.
Sorry for the ninja. The bullets will arrive in the next post or so.
Mary slid to the front of a booth, stopping with great force. She flinched, and almost dropped the gun. Fortunately she didn't suffer any wounds, but she became slightly dizzy.
She saw that the area around the large bird, probably a roc, was now turning into a different hue. Splashes of sephia began to spread around the wall of a non-soild sphere, making the place look green. A uneasy, sickly green.
Cyrus was behind the roc. The bird turned its head to Cyrus, enranged. A dart stuck out of it, and brown mucky blood was bleeding out of it, dripping to the concrete ground and making a little puddle.
The roc screeched at Cyrus. Mary's eardrums ringed.

So it is a physical being, then?
Kiora flipped through a familiar trio of handsigns as she ran. Chakra coursed down her arm, pooling in her hand as it coalesced into lightning.
"Suck on this!" she shouted, driving the Chidori through the roc's wing.

Right now, yes. When it's not physical, it can't interact with anything on the physical plane. It's complicated.
The roc streeched yet again as lightning surged through one of its wings, frying some of its feathers and causing great pain. At the same time, two bullets hit its side, making it push back a foot. More puddles of mucky blood were forming on the ground.
It looked towards the sky. The paper airplanes were in a circle just inside the area. The roc then extended out its wings, preparing for flight. The wings headed towards Kiora.
"No!" Mary readied her pistol and aimed it at the bird. She knew that birds-of-prey were more dangerous in the air than on the ground. If it dived towards one of them, its beak could go right through them.

Polly sprinted over towards Kiora, Mary, and the roc. She promised herself that she wouldn't get in the way, but if their tatics failed, she could be close enough to jump in.
Kiora felt the wing slam into her, sending her flying several feet. She flipped in midair and slid on her feet as she landed.
She drew her last kunai and took aim at the bird's head.

The silver darts have runes engraved in them that force demons into a physical form in addition to damaging them a little bit. Cyrus has to use one on each demon he encounters before he can shoot it/lop its head off.
Cyrus whipped out his pistol, aimed at the bird's neck.
He pulled the trigger. It wasn't a ghost, but it was being hit with a bullet nonetheless.
Wait, she dodged it? Isn't it considered bad roleplay battling to dodge and attack in the same post? Or I am just under the declusions we are using some sort of system. Just checking.
Darn the ninjas. I have no idea who attack to record.
It looks like I may be off for an hour. Go ahead and kill it. However, the roc is pretty heavy, so be careful while it's falling to the ground, before fading into golden whisps.

Ah, sorry, I'm used to fast-paced, attack and exchange scenes in my stories. I'll edit my post.
"Well, demon-slayer, you wanna kill it sometime soon?!" she shouted at Cyrus. She threw the kunai, watching as it closed the distance to the target.

Cyrus already pulled the trigger on his pistol, so there's a hunk of silver hurtling towards the bird's neck right now. I was waiting for Chihuahua to say if the bird dodged it or if it got shot and died. I guess it's dead.
Blood poured from the bird's grimy neck when the small silver bullet struck its jugular vein, leaving a murky red trail as it hurtled to the ground.
Ah, the things that a blind marksman will teach you.
Polly finally reached Cyrus, Kiora, and the now dead roc. She doubled over and put her hands on her knees.
"Good job, you guys," she said, laughing and wheezing at the same time. "I wish I was as fast as you were."
The roc landed with a thud, cracking the concrete below it. It then began to dissolve into golden smoke, just like the passenger car. Within seconds, the smoke faded into the sky, and all there was left was the skeleton of a normal eagle.
Mary laid by the booth. She looked up at the sky, and saw the pieces of paper fly away. The green filter dissolved away.
She stood up and brushed off her pants. She walked towards her umbrella, which she dropped a while ago, "What was that?"
Cyrus knew as much about it as she did- nothing.
"I don't know." He shrugged. "For one, the demons I was trained to hunt don't bleed when shot."

"That was fun!" Kiora said, stretching. Too bad I'm out of kunai, though.
She ran to the cracked concrete and began searching for either of her knives.
Mary looked down at the skeleton, holding her umbrella. It looked quite old, and she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for it.
"I think that bird was a ghost." she theorized in a quiet voice, "I'm not sure about the passenger car, but both of them left a body behind."
Polly cleared her throat. It was difficult for her to be serious and to ask real questions, especially in the presence of people that were much older than her, but she had to this time. She stood up straight and turned to Mary.
"Mary, is there something you aren't telling us?" Polly asked. "Are there normally creatures at your carnival?"
Valentine cringed at the thought of more of the creatures. Between the ninja, the murderous carny, and now the giant bird, I almost miss being being a wanted criminal back home
"Yeah, I'm no expert, but don't ghosts tend not to have bodies?"
Mary turned away from the beast to Polly and said, "No, of course not. This is the first time something happened like this. I never seen anything like this in her life."
She was telling the truth. However, there was one moment in her childhood which she thought she saw something, but she was extremely young. Almost no details survived.
She looked at the sky again. The rain continued to pour down. It was a good thing the umbrella wasn't damaged.
"Ghosts with bodies...I need to think of that." she thought.

Polly let the rain drops slide down her face. "I didn't mean to be rude or anything. It's just...this whole thing is strange." She looked at the group of "misfits" around her. "Well, I guess strange is to be expected when a group like us gets together."
She kicked at the mud and then turned up to Mary again. "What would you have done if Cyrus or Kiora hadn't been here?"
Mary fingered her pistol, which was still in her hand, "I would've tried to shoot it, but I doubt it wouldn't have worked. I might be roc meat by now if it wasn't for you guys." she looked down at the ground and smile timidly, "Thanks."
"Just doing my job." Cyrus said back to her dispassionately.
He only cared if civilians were injured on his watch due to liability, not morals or anything stupid like that.
Kiora shrugged as she gave up the search for a kunai. "Somebody's gotta play the hero, right?"
"Berta, would you mind giving this to the girl over there?" the magician said to a giant dove, it was big enough to carry a grown man. He had pulled a pair of kunais from his hat, seeing she would need it for later confrontations he decided to act benevolently this time. The carnival had proved to be deadly enough, he wouldn't need to get on their way to see them struggling as he wished, if the situation gets any worse he might even be able to join the fun on their side.
He had seen everything, including the ghost.
The dove flew to her direction, Berta carried the knives inside a small bag that also contained a small letter, she landed a few meters away from the ninja and dropped from her beak.
Best wishes ♥. Oh, and don't forget to say 'hi' for me to the Exorcist, I bet he's having fun. it was written in a childish manner and an incredibly messy handwriting.
After having delivered the letter, the dove returned to the master.
OOC: We just made a discussion thread.
Kiora had jumped back to a fighting stance as the large bird settled down on the ground and dropped its package. As it took off again, she gingerly stepped forward.
Well, we didn't get attacked again, she thought hopefully. She picked up the bag and heard the clink of metal.
Pulling the package open, she added the kunai to her holster before turning her eyes to the note.
"I think this is for you," she said, waving the paper at Cyrus. "Looks like our magician friend isn't too far away."
Mary exhaled, relieved that the dove wasn't another enemy. What she needed was another onslaught of Manifestations, or whatever they were suppose to be called, attacking them again. It seemed like a mysterous force riled up the spirts, causing them to assume a physical form. The question is what was that mysterous force.
For a few seconds, everything was calm. The rain continued to pour down. A tiny waterfall formed from a booth overhang, crooked due to a broken stick. Rolls of thunder came from the distance, quiet as they could be. The clouds had became thick, conceling most of the light show held by the lightning in the sky.
Mary put the gun back into her holster, and awkwardly dug out her map from her right jacket pocket. She let it unfold and showed it to the visitors.
"Where should we go next?" Mary asked.
