Well in the Divine Comedy, Judecca, the bottom most level of hell is described as a frozen wasteland with people frozen in a lake, the faces the only thing exposed from the ice. I dunno. You could have him build snowmen? Drink cocoa? Wait...why is Lucifer a woman?
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.Well technically she's genderless like all divine beings, it's just since she possessed a mortal woman to concivence Tariq (her child) she most often appears as a woman. And she does it to make God look sexist.
Life's Gonna Suck When You Grow Up... But Is It That Great Now?... Also I'm Skylark2 now.Why not pull out the whole reward/punishment dichotomy altogether? Consider Nietzsche's idea of the Apollonian/Dionysian man.
What if Hell is a place of pure, indulgent sin? An existence without restraint, discipline or rules? A place where your every dream and fantasy comes to life, no matter how depraved? Kid in a candy store.
If you look at "Lucifer" as a being that exists to tempt others on the path of selfishness and indulgence, then why not have Hell be like Vegas turned up to eleven?
"You wanted to see my domain? Here it is! Indulge yourself! Whatever your whims, they will be manifested! There are no limits to the pleasures you can experience! Feast from the table of endless delicacies! Drink from a fountain of wine! Bed as many women/men as you like. No consequences!"
On the other hand, Heaven could be a place of austerity, solemnity, study and eternal philosophizing on the meaning of existence. The great minds ponder the questions of the universe for all eternity. Learn physics from Einstein, logic from Aristotle, theology from Augustine, politics from Augustus. Whatever you desire to learn, it's there for you.
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly. In Norse mythology Hel is the name of a hall and the woman who owns it—it is the place where people who die peaceful deaths go. In a some of the tales that were written down there are nightmarish descriptions of Hel that are really only Hijacked by Jesus * as among the pre-christian Norse was not a nightmare but a place most people go when they die.
When Hel was a young girl Odin took her to an empty realm in Niflheim and then he gave her a grand hall and the task of administering refreshment and lodging to those who die of sickness and old age. From this I can assume that the death are not cruelly tortured or punished—Hel merely takes care of them.
Niflheim is the ice realm in the cosmology, so I assume that Hel is rather cold.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.

Okay I've got a character who's mother is Lucifer. He goes to visit her. Anyone know of non fiery interpretations of Hell? How could it be pleasent for a five year old?
