Mack is an extreme Creddie fan who has an amazing set of Shipping Goggles.
It's just so hard to deal with. The amount of hate he has for Sam Puckett is astounding.
Use Ask The Tropers for reporting people in the future.
"mack" did it again. So i reinserted Sam and Freddie back into the UST trope.
Again, this is best taken up with Ask The Tropers, not Trope Repair Shop.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI've created an ask the tropers on the OP. I've already replied in the discussions for the show, only to have them ignore it and just re-edit their incorrect entry back in.
Can we close/delete this now there's an ask the tropers entry?
Mack is not here to make sure the tropes are "correct". He is well known in the fandom for being anti-Seddie and anti-Sam Puckett. We are tired of being slandered on the YMMV page and our edits being constantly reverted. His purpose here is to promote his ship.
^Agreed. The iCarly trope page has been pretty biased for a while. It's not even neutral. I know there's been efforts in the past to neutralize it and clean it up but it always goes back to how it was. It's kind of frustrating.
Popcorn! Get yer popcorn here! Free as long as the show lasts!
Anyways, yeah. Let's not end up having to freeze a page here - cease fire and discuss is out here: I can't say more on the subject because I haven't seen the episode in question, but I do know edit warring will just make things worse for both/all of you.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. This is hilarious.
Seriously, when two people have an edit war, nobody is in the right. If you really want to resolve an editing issue, set up a discussion topic. It works wonders for actually allowing both sides to explain to each other.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Ok, in the interest of moderation I took a look at the episode and a brief glance over at the page. A couple things:
- 1) First and foremost, I'd say that is UST, especially if they continue with it, even it it's retroactive UST. The only point you might be able to argue, though not one I'd suggest, is how long the series has been showing it or whether it's entirely retroactive - and from what I know of the series I'd say it's definitely not entirely retroactive.
- 2) The page isn't as biased as I expected from the comments, though I did only do a once over. However, there is a thing or two I would change: for example, regardless of what your position is on the ship, that's not what Ass Pull means and if no one gives me a decent reason not to I'm going to delete that particular entry (the only reason I'm not doing it immediately is because of the Edit War shenanigans going on).
- 3) Maybe the ideal is to put the editing of this and entries about the character romances to someone who both watches the show and doesn't have a serious opinion either way, so maybe you guys need a third party.
Continue to war and the page will probably get locked and both of you will probably get banned, so I'd suggest a compromise either way.
Also, damn was that fire extinguisher gag funny.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Doesn't bother me, I'd rather go back to playing portal than having to deal with an edit war and/or arguing with long-standing tropers.
Freddie does not have UST with either Carly or Sam, Freddie is in love with Carly, Sam is in love with Freddie, but Carly is not in love with Freddie, and Freddie is not in love with Sam, so neither one counts as UST.
I'm a Troper!!!Can you just take this all to the discussion page? Or find the right trope on the Unrequited Love Tropes index and put it there.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickFirst off I'd like to point out that I do ship creddie but I try an remain neutral in my edits (this is the first time my edits have touched on the characters relationships) but you cant count it as Unresolved Sexual Tension yet because only Sams feelings have been made clear, the wiki of ust says that it requires two people to feel that way about each other.
We dont know what Freddie feels and Dan could very easily just throw in a line that to the effect of "I'm sorry Sam but I still love Carly" or "I'm sorry Sam but I love Gibby", the fact is Freddie was extremely confused that Sam kissed him, he spent the entire episode trying to set Sam up with the intern.
This could be a case of unrequited love, or I could be completely wrong and Freddie really does love Sam and they end up being a couple for the next season.
The point is until we get the episode that resolves it you cant put the entry as UST because there isn't solid evidence for either side of the argument, each could be disproved and given that status quo is God and so much of the comedy comes from it it wouldn't surprise me if both sides were wrong.
Just hold off on adding that edit until we get proof either way.
Agreed. Can I say as someone who could care less about shipping that this is really, really idiotic?
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.FFS people, it's a classic Love Triangle. You -literally- can't get any more classic than A loves B, B loves C, Hilarity Ensues. Just mark it as such and move on.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Question: Would anyone mind me moving the current article to Series.I Carly while this discussion is ongoing? I was going to do it as part of the Big Page Lock before I noticed there was an active thread here.
If folks would prefer I wait until this discussion is resolved, that's fine.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! Its not going to be resolved because its basically a fan war.
But the bottom line is neither side has enough evidence to prove their points, we wont find out until the episode that takes place directly after Iomg is released (Iparty with victorious is out of continuity and may or may not be canon).
I think then the resolution is simple—chainsaw anything on that page that even suggests a hint of shipping, report every edit that adds stuff like that as natter, and if it gets bad enough lock the damn page so we don't need to worry about shippers ruining our site.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I agree with the above. Shippers can go shoot themselves.
Fight smart, not fair. This looks like a ship war. The page is not "extremely biased" if there is only a problem with one trope.
Sam/Carly, Freddie/Carly, Spencer/Sam... they ALL have UST. Just put down your ship and leave the others alone. Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment, shippers.
Just look at the examples from Unresolved Sexual Tension. mack keeps insisting on taking Sam and Freddie out saying it doesnt qualify when it clearly does. The guy hates the character of Sam and just can't acknowledge what happened in the last episode. Sam Puckett loves Freddie Benson. So it's turning into like a mini edit war. It's tiring to keep trying to make it correct when he keeps insisting on it being bias for Carly and Freddie. Read his history.
