"Well, that went as well as expected..." Philosophy switched back to his basic fireball spell, raising his staff to bring it point-blank at the Jack-in-the-Box's head and hoping it didn't pimpslap him again.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudAmadeus shrugged, standing at the front of the group to perform his job as the party tank. "Why don't we try getting some others to help us fight this thing? The worst thing that could happen is we re-spawn later." he said, brandishing his axe and awaiting the others' responses.

Kaine smirked, and formed a party immediately and invited the other two. By making them desperate to form a party, he had made it easier for himself to set up a party to show them the proper way.
He invited them into his part. And now he was the person in a position of authority, and could handle the party very well indeed.
He said, "Now, join my party and we can begin level grinding outside."
"Have a little faith, man!" Jager said, chuckling a little.
"For all we know this thing is one of the weaker dragons and it's only big to intimidate us newbies. Why would it show up in a place with so many low leveled players if it was that strong? We just need more people, I'm sure we'd be able to beat it."
@ Colnar: You can log out, or I can take over. I prefer not taking over for your character since I don't want to act in a way your character may not, but if you are fine with it then I will.
Jager was in part right, as the players nearby to the chaos gate noticed the dragon as well. With all the grace that a mob usually does, they began to swarm after the dragon, looking at the thing as a sort of prized creature to kill. A frog knight dropped in and tried spearing one of the members in this crowd, but it got teamed up on and thusly cut apart as the swarm tore into it.
Miles would find that although opening the chest was a risky maneuver, it would be a rewarding maneuver as he looked through the dialogue box that popped up.
The dragon shone onward for a few moments, simply standing there as it looked onward to the many players that seemed to be rushing it. Then it snorted and drew its breath, before blowing a stream of bubbles that exploded around the cone from it's mouth. (AMADEUS, MILES, ROSALIA, COLNAR, JAGER, CAIN - 27 HP)
Philosopher's fireball would strike down and into the Jack-In-The-Box, making it disappear as the thing greyed out and ceased moving, defeated. There would be commotion nearby, and he would just miss the onslaught of bubbles coming nearby to him. (PHILOSOPHY - 5 SP)
Kaine The Monster Blade would also notice the dragon attacking near the chaos gate, but a more pressing issue would be nearby... to the point, two small green things were fast approaching, with two small dagger-like things in each hand.

Pokedy Poke-pokeRealizing that standing still would likely continue to be a rather terrible idea, Amadeus decided now was as good a time as any to charge in and hope Miles had some healing spells. Doing his best to clear the distance between the dragon and himself, Amadeus opened up with another Triple Wield before simply swinging his axe in a horizontal arc in a manner both stylish and entirely impractical. Fortunately, this was still a video game, so practicality would likely not have been the most pressing issue at the moment.
"Bubbles? Bubbles? Lightning!" he said, shooting a bolt at its face, then turning and running to the shop, trying to pry the door open with his staff.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Hmm.
Well, wouldn't hurt to try. Philosophy tossed a fireball at the bubble mass, ruining his desire to get a bubble bath IRL.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudCain was about to say something, but he was cut off by being hit by yet another attack. He let out an enraged growl and said "Fine, whatever! If I die then you owe me a health potion." He ran around behind the dragon in hope that the others would distract it. he reared back and threw his sword at the Dragon's back. Then he raced after it, jumped up, and grabbed it, trying to drag it down the monster's back.
Jager chuckled again, despite taking damage from the dragon. "Okay Cain, it's a deal!"
With that, he ran around to attack the dragon from the side. This time, he decided to use one of his moves.
"Okay...Rising Fang, let's try that..."
Once he selected the attack, his lance glowed white as he ran in, and once he was close enough to the monster he brought the spear up in a slashing motion as the attack made him jump at an angle, then he pointed it down while he was falling.
Amadeus's Axe swing would be joined with the combined efforts of a Heavy Blade and another Heavy Ax, both of whch decided the best course of action was to "Move up and attack the damn thing!" And were both laughing like idiots as they all attacked the thing. The first attack of Amadeus missed, but the other two struck home and hard. (AMADEUS SP - 15) (DRAGON - 34)
Likewise, Miles' lightning strike was accompanied with other wavemasters who were casting spells of their own, although a few were throwing rock slabs and there even was a fireball (cast by Philosophy) the like in lieu of the common thunderbolts. The shopps were locked tight still, and refused to budge even an inch as Miles tried pulling them open. (MILES SP - 10, PHILOSOPHER SP - 5) (DRAGON - 38)
Cain's sword technique proved fruitful, as right when he tossed his sword into the dragon did both Rosalia throw her blade at the dragon and Colnar thrust into the beast. All blades struck home at once, the creature making a coughing noise before Cain jumped onto the thing and grasped hold of the sword. (ROSALIA SP - 5) (CAIN SP - 10) (DRAGON HP - 30)
Jager's rising fang struck on the uppercut, and on the downswing it managed to critical the dragon, dealing an impressive amount of damage between all the novice chaos. (JAGER SP - 15) (DRAGON HP - 52)
The Dragon lunged outward, it's head biting into a few random characters as well as striking a few of our known heroes. It then began to spread it's wings and fly further up, climbing skyward with cain on board while his sword began digging deeper into the dragon. It didn't have much health left, but then again neither did Cain... (JAGER, PHILOSOPHY, ROSALIA - 22 HP)

Pokedy Poke-pokeMiles saw it hit rosalia. "Oh no you didn't, bitch." he said calmly. "Now, I'm pissed off." he charged the dragon, channelling all his energy into the blade of his staff. At the last moment, he dropped down, sliding under the dragon baseball style, dragging its blade through the dragon's flesh and discharging every bit of lightning he could as he went.

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Amadeus found the 'jump' key after a few seconds and attempted to leap after the dragon, finding out just how ineffective that ended up being* . Currently out of options, he simply waited where he was, cheering Cain on from the ground. "Stab it! Stab it! You can do it!" he called, hoping that the dragon descended sometime soon, assuming Cain failed to finish it off.
The little monsters had somehow entered the city...bothersome, but nothing he could not handle.
And a dragon with them...interesting development, this. What had allowed a dragon into the city...all the same, these enemies would be worth some experience.
He readied his sword and slashed at the small green creatures.

Cain's perilous climb was short-lived: The multitude of magical attacks sent around the area, followed by the electrical attack sent upwards by Miles, finished off the dragon where it flew. It started to descend, threatening to crush anyone who may be on it's trajectory downward... until ot's body started to disappear, and cain would find himself clinging onto a golden chest for survival as it dropped downward towards everyone else.
Kaine the Monster Blade's swing caught the first one and sent it rolling off to the side, but the second one jumped over the blade and stabbed the Heavy Bladesman twice. It giggled madly before running to it's comrade, who proceeded to get up before and they attempted the same tactic.
| BURSTING | PASSED-OVER | LAKE OF LAVA |
The monster summoner dispersed, and the only thing left behind was a bluish looking chest. It didn't act like a monster, but the fact that it was different might throw an alarm or two as to what it might be doing there.
Pokedy Poke-poke"Dragon or not, you do not attack a lady when her back is turned." Then, he ran over and waited for the chest to land... until he realized someone was clinging to it for dear life. He drank his mana potion and cast a spell, using air to cusion the fall.

Not seeing much ground left ahead of him, Colnar turned around.
"Looks like we've got no choice."
I will be temporarily unavailable. Can I have some sort of GM-AI thing right about now?
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "
