Ahem.
From recent RP events and D!Posts, you likely know I have taken in two of Pippi's mons, specifically Kamina and Arachne.
Now, since it might seem underhanded, and since I don't want Pippi's whole roster to turn into a grab bag, I would like to clarify that I was planning with her via PM to inherit Arachne and possibly one other a while back before she decided to retire. I did not do it solely because I could.
I do realize the NP Cs I planned on preserving likely require more discussion, which I am very much open to.
Contact Me!Actually, sorry, but my problem wasn't explicitly with them not being in base forms, but being in forms that required use of items or trading.
I'm fine with evolved forms that evolve through level and happiness, but Nicole's case makes me imagine things like her getting a Sun Stone, then it gets used on her accidentaly.
And Wolf did get in the room with the Ice Rock sometime before he became a Pokemon.
Sorry if I'm being irritating, though. I'll stop if no one really wants to talk about this anymore.

"Don't worry, murder is a sign of affection." - An amalgamation of DunsparceCrow: Let's just end the argument at "it happened".
Umbra: Understood.
On a note related to Umbra's post, like I said before, I'm interested in taking MGMT now that Pippi's gone assuming I don't chicken out. I PM'd her directly just to verify permission (out of caution), but I'd also like to ask in here before I just take him and run. Does anyone have any problems/concerns/etc with this, assuming she says I can? If nobody responds to this, I'll assume that means "no problems".

OK, for anyone who missed them, here are my gifts:

I think only Trip missed his, unless I'm mistaken.
Contact Me!You may have forgotten to get Pent anything, but I might have just been skimming through just a bit too fast. Of course, considering I haven't hatched the egg and sent out the mystery mon I got last year, it's probably the best idea to not get him a mon... >_>
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing. You never said anything when I announced the distro, so I assumed you didn't want one. Sorry. >_>
If you change your mind, I can give you a belated one.
Contact Me!So, um... The chat is down, and I feel kind of lonely, want to talk to someone...
Since this isn't really the place to do brainstorming for my fanfic, I guess I should talk about something RP related, so...
How should I go about getting my plans for Kanjoh done when I fully return to the RP? (assuming my RL schedule next year allows me to take time for the RP, as next year still seems uncertain to me at the moment)
Edit: Oh, the chat is back up. Still, what should I do about my Kanjoh plans?

That's fine, Daisy. People do that all the time. Especially Tracer. :P
DS: Just try and get as much done as you can, I guess.

Contact Me!Of course. :3
(Though, while I don't want to rush, I think now that Christmas is over we should try and get PEF Exp set up/planned. As well as actually getting RtAU somewhere.)
Contact Me!Post from Silent
to notify of a forced absence "starting 2012-12-28, that is, this Friday, and ending not before New Year"
In response to the chat:
I'd prefer it happen sooner, because otherwise my intro posts will have to be retconned into a time-shenanigen.
Then again, I'm not sure if I can justify them being there for about a week already, so I may have to do that anyway >_>
"Don't worry, murder is a sign of affection." - An amalgamation of DunsparceI've got a potentially forced absence coming up too. 10 days starting on the 17th of January.
Just realized that that's probably right in the middle of Rt AU -_-
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Okay, I figured I would elaborate and ask for opinions on my interpretation of Super Empathy.
To me, it has two parts, only one of which I've shown IRP.
First Part
This is the half I have shown already, the half accompanied by a gold inflection on the user's voice: Essentially, it's getting emotion across. Think a facial expression, only minus the potential misinterpretation. And like a facial expression, it can be faked to some degree; if someone is skilled enough, they can force themselves to give off whatever emotion they're feeling. This does not automatically mean instant persuasion. In some cases, it would make it even worse. For example, if someone were to try it to let Doopliss know that his latest prank will make them feel miserable, that'll only make Doopliss want to mess with them more. In the end, it depends on the personalities of both parties.
Second Part
This one's a bit more subtle, as well as more passive. It works the exact reverse way: "perfect"* interpretation of others' emotions and expressions. I'm fairly sure this part is a bit more self-explanatory.
Does anyone have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. on my interpretation? Please, if you do, say something. I do not want to do anything people dislike just because I was left in the dark.
Speaking of being left in the dark, I still haven't gotten any responses about MGMT...

That sounds good, and actually kinda alleviates may concerns about it being overpowered.
And I'd be fine with you taking MGMT.

Contact Me!So basically, when you ask someone to do something, it's like saying "It would make me really happy if you did this."?
Is there some sort of add-on that it makes people want to acknowledge this emotion? I've always thought of Super Empathy being more about being charismatic, and being able to persuade people to do what you want them to do.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!I have no problem with either the Super Empathy interpretation or (like I said in chat before) you taking ownership of MGMT. Though I'd personally assume the "perfect interpretation of others' emotions and expressions" has some potential for failure, e.g. when the person with Super Empathy is under extreme stress/tiredness/etc.

Personally I think the Eeveelutions should be an exception just because of how it works.
I do think all Pokeforms should start at base form, but people have started at beyond base before, so... >_>
