Just one thing, wouldn't Colonel Featherstone having a relationship with his direct subordinate be seen as fraternization? (Which is considered bad in a military setting.)

Crewe

There's also the wiki, if that would be more convenient.

Aura/Psychic/Obscura/Obscura

Thinking about it, some variation of "Spectrum" which isn't that exact word could work. It deals with the light/darkness contrast, describes the organization, and it sounds like "Specter", which ties it to one of the units without basing it around that. Win-win-win.

Spectra? Spectros? Spectribus? Spectria?

I suggested variants of "spectrum" earlier... Though like "spectria"

Yeah, I saw that. That was actually part of why I decided I liked it; the original term couldn't work, but you started suggesting variants that did :P

Personally, I like Spectria best as well. Silent likes Spectribus or a longer variation of Spectria,.

Heads-up, most of my AU sideplot centers around Mauville, so if anybody is running an invasion force there, I would appreciate being able to coordinate for my grunt character.

Voting for Spectribus too. If only for the reason that a battle between an Aura-user and an Obscura-user could be called a Strife Spectribus. XD

Also, CANNAE SLEEP >_<

I haven't seen her either. She hasn't posted anything on the site in more than a week.

I think she had a bunch of projects due at the end of term, so it's possible she's stuck on them...

Returning on my grandmother's iPad. I'll more than likely be staying out of the chat, so if there's anything relevant to me, make sure to put it in Discussion or through a PM.

I'll also still be intermittent. And now for a few comments:

I'd be fine with the name Spectribus, but I don't have especially strong feelings for or against it.

Does anyone know if you can do specific hex codes for colors with Tv Tropes coding, or we're you talking about that a while ago for the second forum?

And I think there was talk of a barrier or something after the WEPON's been used, did that mean humans just can't enter it for whatever reason, or they can enter it, but they'll be turned into a Pokemon if they do?

I don't think you can do hex colours, no. They used to be available in liveblogs, but they're not anymore.

@ Tagg

I'll change it, I know nothing about military that doesn't come from the highly fictional Temeraire books.

@ Eskay

Nope, wiki's not nearly as convenient. I'll keep it hear.

@ Spectribus

... That sounds really... weird. I don't like it. But eh, if y'all want it, I'll just stick to using Aura and Obscura. I don't really see the need for something that collectively refers to all four, anyway.

No matter what, the name's going to be weird. Which is why I've been trying to overlook the "weirdness" and focus more on the parts where it does work, which, in my opinion, are more important, not to mention they outnumber the single detail that doesn't work.

If you would bother to learn the syntax, which isn't actually hard to learn at all, the wiki is actually quite convenient as your information doesn't get lost in a sea of posts >_>

…And that probably sounded rude and pushy, not my intention, sorry

No, thanks. I can bookmark the post for easy access, and I don't see the point in making an account and learning the syntax for the sake of one page.

Double post, sorry.

So, there seems to be some confusion regarding the inhabitants of certain caves. Here's a handy guide!

  • The Sneasel Cave: Crewe and her family (Martin, Morana, and Biton) live here. It's not particularly large, as it only houses four Sneasel.
  • Miss Nellie's Cave: This is near the Sneasel cave. Nellie, a large and particularly ferocious Piloswine, lives here with her many cubs. It is a large cave.
  • Asher's Cave: This is a short distance from the "neighborhood" the Sneasel live in. It's a very large cave, though it only houses one Absol, Asher (no, Slider will not appear).
  • Miss Stella's Cave: This cave is the farthest away, being up the mountain. It's also a large cave, as an Abomasnow and her son Junior the Snover live here.
  • Various Other Caves: There are other Weavile, Sneasel, Piloswine, Swinub, Froslass, etc. living all over the place. Presumably, they have their own caves of various sizes in various places.

All clear?

OK, figured I should post what my characters would like for Christmas.

Umbra

A couple rare candies would be nice for Nazz and Skipper, but he's fine with whatever.

Lina

Fine with whatever.

Ammy

Fine with whatever, but prefers marshmallow-related things.

Arika

Would really like a Water Stone or Tirtouga egg, though Lina may have to give her latter. Other than that, fine with whatever.

And noted, Crewe. Will likely move my mons to a larger cave.

So... Being somewhat out of the loop on matters... There was a few things that I wished to clarify regarding RtAU...

Atmosphere on a Per-Region Basis

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WHEN PLANNING YOUR RTAU ACTIVITIES! IF THERE IS A CONFLICT, PLEASE BRING IT UP SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!

  • Kanto / Johto - Dead Serious (or at least what passes for serious in this inherently anarchic and goofy RP. :P) These regions are currently planned on seeing every single nasty trick in the book the 7 jerks have come up with for their antics. If you run in guns blazing here, odds are you will break things more than you will make them better.
  • Sinnoh - Action Romp. Place is kinda depopulated anyways. Locals may or may not be undermotivated for fighting given the still-fragile nature of Sinnoh's biosphere.
  • Hoenn - Comedic Relief. 1/3 of all Hoennites become Draconic. This is the region where every attempt to apply the same conquering shtick as in other regions falls hilariously flat and never gets more than a couple hours' worth of meaningful traction. (They still nominally "conquer", just never are able to meaningfully assert force.)
  • Unova - Schizophrenic. Things vary heavily by region. There are two main camps here. One is intended to be a camp lead primarily by Hydreigon going out of their way attempting to be Villains With Good Publicity and failing in amusing manners. The other camp can be played as serious (or not) as desired.

  • Any town with Legendaries within consistent spitting distance of it (e.x. Ecruteak, Icirrus) is likely well out of the ability of all but the suicidal to attempt to conquer thanks to centuries' worth of clauses built around the protection of settlements that in all likelihood arose at least in part as shrine complexes.

7JD Military Organization

Does Crewe + Straw's organization represent a unified force? Or are they closer to leaders of a "theater" of troops. If anyone else wishes to play a NPC with ties to this group, how should integration be pursued?

Contemporary AU!Unova (read: What's Going on Now)

Not to be rude, but might I kindly request an elucidation as to what's going on between AU!Trip + AU!Psyche? It would be nice to have a better feel for their plans and how to integrate them into the larger goings-on...

Sorry if this somehow was written in a bossy/grouchy/non-amiable tone. That was not my intention. And thank you for reading all the way through this post if you've made it here. (Assuming you didn't just skip to the end.)

Ok.

I'm probably not thinking clearly at 3AM, and tomorrow there might be a chance that I back out yet again due to laziness, but...

Where are we in terms of the RP?

Did RTAU begin yet, or are we still on Kanjoh? I have a side plot I had planned for that, but if it's over, I can always give you guys a synopsis of it and act like it happened when/if I rejoin. Or somehow bump it to after PEFE (It regards some AU/OT timeline memory crossing, so having it happen during would be sort of Mood Whiplash-y.)
