Some do, some don't.
My Sinnoh team:
Gaia: Careful nature. Highly curious
Nudi: Naive nature. Hates to lose.
Luxray: Adamant nature. Hates to lose.
Roc: Lax nature. Alert to sounds.
Cobalt: Serious nature. Highly curious.
Garchomp: Hardy nature. Strong willed.
Draca: Careful nature. Likes to thrash about.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Yeah... Sparq probably being the one whose RP personality fits the nature and characteristic the least.
I'm also thinking about what natures my Unova team should have:
Chase: Naive, based on the way he was portrayed as a Pidove.
Ribbons: Bashful, based on her Shrinking Violet portrayal back when she was a Gothita.
Artemis: Naughty probably fits best.
Goggles: Quirky.
Crush: I'm considering Docile for him.
Mira: Calm, I think that one describes her best.
Here's what my copy of White says about my team members.
- Lake: Brave, Very finicky.
- Woolly: Lonely, Loves to eat.
- Crowley: Hardy, Alert to sounds.
- Sol: Timid, A little quick tempered.
- Flare: Naughty, Quick to flee.
- Pepper: Hardy, Likes to fight.
- Unite: Relaxed, likes to relax.
- Jello: Brave, Capable of taking hits.
- Wulfric: Quiet (How appropriate), Highly Persistent.
- Blitz: Does not have an in-game counterpart.
- Celestia: Neither does she.
- Phantom: Sassy, somewhat stubborn (Also appropriate).
And as a bonus:
- Reshiram: Relaxed, Alert to sounds.
- Zekrom: Careful, Likes to run.
As you can see, I haven't really based my Pokémon's personalities off these traits.
I get the feeling that Nudi, Luxray, and Vanilluxe would form a trio once they all met. Another would be Audilith, Cobalt, and Gaia.
Unova team:
Musashi: Bashful nature. Loves to eat.
Audilith: Relaxed nature. Capable of taking hits.
Throh: Adamant nature. Highly curious
Vanilluxe: Quirky nature. Hates to lose.
Helios: Naughty nature. Strong willed.
Hydreigon: Quiet nature. Likes to thrash about.
Eelektrik: Docile nature. Proud of its power.
Sirius: Hasty nature. A little quick tempered.
Unfezant: Quirky nature. Loves to eat.

Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. When it comes to my Sinnoh and Unova teams, I imagine Briar Rose and Goggles would get along, both being cloudcuckoolanders.
Of course, Briar Rose is a much milder case than Goggles and Latias, so one of the things I'll have to keep in mind when I'm writing how is how to expand on her vaguely established personality without accidentally turning her into The Ditz or something.
I'm sure that'll be the conversation between Audilth, Gaia, and Cobalt.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Draca, Garchomp, and Hydreigon will probably lampshade my tendency to only catch female Dragon types.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Oh, it seems I missed my chance to talk about my pokemon's natures. But if it means anything, Portales' nature in-game is Bashful, and he's "often lost in thought".
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonMusashi, Muddy, and Portales would all really get on then, since they all have Bashful natures.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Since I wasn't here all day, I'm just going to go back a bit. The GC has plot, but it's minimal plot.
Basically, a small cadre of villains (Giovanni, J, and Miror B.) have infiltrated the Tournament in a bid to win the grand prize (TBD, any ideas?). They're not really working together, they're just evil people who want the prize for their own devious purposes. That's the full extent of the GC's plot.
Well, if I end up fighting Giovanni, neither of us will probably be very impressed. Seeing as I sorta' took down the remnants of his criminal organisation.
Not sure what would happen if I fought against J. Seeing as in universe, I don't even know about her.
As for Miror B...Well, he'll probably want revenge on me for Unite accidentally ruining his hair.
I've already fought both Giovanni and Miror B., so it would have to be J in my case.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Jane hasn't fought any actual in-game villains, so whoever she meets she would probably meet for the first time.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonI don't know anything about any of the anime characters, so if I battle one someone will have to write for them.
Come to think of it, should two people write for each battle anyway? One person being themself and the other controlling their opponent?
Also, I just had an idea. At one point during the invasion on Scolipede and Artemis's palace, Latias and Cofagrigus get into a duel of throwing random objects from their collections at each other.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I guess it's up to the person whose battle it is. I think the default should be that you write your own battle, but if you're really unfamiliar with the character someone else can do it.
I'll post teams here before each battle, by the way.
Also, that last bit would be hilarious. There's an improv game that works on a similar principle.

I was also thinking about natures and characteristics.
My Sinnoh team has their in-game counterparts natures, naturally.
HotStuff: Bold nature. Impetuous and silly.
Briar Rose: Relaxed nature. Often dozes off.
Wings: Sassy nature. Highly curious.
Sparq: Quiet nature. Sturdy body.
Velvet: Naughty nature. Scatters things often.
Silvermist: Lonely nature. Proud of its power.
... Not all of them really fit in with their vaguely established RP personalities, do they?
