WEPON
That works well. Gives just enough warning, allows for escape and regrouping, and provides a good structure to the beginning. Taking out port cities after the major population centers may be a bit of a tactical error if you ask me, but such a tactical error allows for our plot, so we'll leave it in.
Tropeless
Problem is, it'll be able to Protect while still being able to attack. And we literally can't get rid of the double-moves; it was already established IRP that it can do that. And I'm not going to retcon that.
Again, the topic has already been resolved.

Thanks, Crowlover, I'll have to check out those links when I get home. I'm at work and apparently the filter here blocked EVERY one of those links (and yet timewasters like TV Tropes are alright....) If I post at strange hours, I apologize. I'm currently living in Japan. Apparently there's this thing called a 'Time Zone' and my family would really like it if I'd stop calling them at 3am even if I just got off of work at 5pm.
Thanks for the correction on Pupitar's height/weight. I checked the pokedex after posting (but before your post) to get a move list and saw that a Pupitar is around 4ft tall and over 300 pounds. Part of it was metric confusion (Go, Eagleland! We'll stay Imperial measuring and screw the rest of the planet) and the other part is something that always tripped me up, even as a kid: battle sprite size does not equal 'real' size.
Machamp must be a huge, musclebound fighting machine- what do you mean he's only 5'3"? That's only an inch taller than my wife. Okay, then Nidoking must be a towering mass of poisony, spikey death- 5'7"? I'm a half of a foot taller than it? So, in my mind, Pupitar is the same size as Kakuna, therefore they're the same, right? Apparently, wrong.
However, I like the image I have of the character so much, I've decided I have a runt Pupitar of about 2ft and around 100 pounds. Just the right size for a hiking backpack and not to heavy as long as the character take frequent reststops (he won't be winning any races anytime soon) and has lots of grumbling. I'll iron it out more with that 'character sheet' and that chat link. Thanks for the help so far.
~There is nothing more tragic than when a loving family is torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wolvesWoah, Japan? You're our rep for Asia! :P
Fortunately, I and a few others tend to stay up late, and we have a few Australians (some of which are busy, though.)
Contact Me!RTAU
As you may know, my plans for RTAU involve Hikkoimori AU!Fool, Icelus becoming the first Pokepresident of Johto, A Junta force run by Mr. Gone, Propagandist!Lenore working for AU!Alduin and a few other things not planned out yet (Like what to do with Amber, Remy & Miss Pauling)
For plot details, Rt AU would start, at least in Johto, with Icelus winning the election and becoming the leader of Johto, and one of her fiirst initatives is militarizing Johto (an influence from the Napoleon part of her). Fortifying the sea ports and building more military bases and whatnot.
At least, that's what I've got.
I'm having to learn to pay the pricePippi's plans
Sounds good... except for the Icelus bit, which both Silent and I are iffy on. I'll gladly pass on his explanation if necessary.
Contact Me!Rt AU
Drake plays along because he pretty much has no choice, somewhere near the climax there will be a temporal-spacial jam session. Meanwhile, some of Pent's mons from the OT start coming out of the woodwork. And possibly a Dawnguard-inspired subplot for Susan?
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.I was thinking that if we ever did do a Dawnguard-based subplot it would be after RtAU. There's also the new Dragonborn DLC that's coming out soon enough.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Alrighty. I finished the Development of the character and I post it for your review.
For the Trainer:
Name - Lair Gender - Male (Region of) Origin - Kanto Age - 17 Occupation or Affiliation - Until recently, a 'professional bum' living with his parents. Now a Pokemon trainer Appearance - Spikey brown hair, green eyes, he constantly looks like he's about to fall asleep. Personality - A slacker by trade, he has now been forced out of his comfort zone by his father. Used to T Vs, video games and AC, roughing it is not something he really enjoys. Backstory - Lair was just a normal kid hanging out around the house, watching Valiant Knight Skarmory and playing the video game, Sneasels' Creed. However, his father got tired of him having no plans for the future. So his father purchased a pokemon online, an old Mark I Pokedex, some camping gear and told Lair not to come home until he did something with his life.
For the Team:
Team - At this time, all Lair has is a Pupitar Trainer Class - Lair is still new to the occupation, so he doesn't have a 'class' of favored style or pokemon yet.
For the Pokémon:
Glares, male Pupitar (Adamant nature, Moves: Bite, Outrage, Scary Face, Endure): Glares is a grumpy pokemon that doesn't speak much outside of the occasional grunt. A runt of a Pupitar at only 2ft tall and around 100 pounds, it is easy to see how Lair's father was able to buy him so cheaply. In general, he is very surly and mainly glares at people (hence the nickname Lair gave him), although whether it is because of his size, the fact that he still has not evolved or that Lair insists on bundling him up and carrying him in his backpack is unknown. Lair is clueless that that the pokemon is not a Bug pokemon stuck in a chrystalis and his old Mark I Pokedex doesn't recognize it.

~There is nothing more tragic than when a loving family is torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wolvesOther than what Eskay said, yeah, he looks fine. :3
Feel free to find a way to drop him in either here or in the chat; most of us are in Violet, but the person closest to your timezone is in the Sevii Islands.

Contact Me!Well, my Rt AU plans involve AU!DS' being snapped out of her "destroying everything is the only way" moment, which allows her to survive in this timeline thanks to the intervention of AU!Wolf and AU!Alastor sending a message from the future to their past selves, and having most of whatever population Sinnoh has hide in the Sinnoh underground until the battles are over, and... I don't know, I guess she and AU!Wolf will help AU!Cynthia put together a resistance, while AU!Goggles, AU!Chase and AU!Tulip gather up the former Pokemon resistance of Unova to fight, possibly picking up some new recruits on the way. I'm guessing that's okay so far?
Yeah, I'd say so.
As for me, I still have absolutely no idea what role Chroma will have, despite the fact that she was the first thing I got the idea for in Rt AU... This is gonna be tough...
I'm planning on AU!Crow be affected by the WEPON in Saffron, then be part of a group that forms out of either Saffron or Lavender Town citizens, depending on whether he's able to get out of Saffron or not before the second wave.
If he escapes, I'm planning on having Crow inform his parents and one of them attempt to send out a radio transmission ranging in success from "try to send a signal, but be monified before doing so and can't operate the equipment" to "send a transmission, but as a mon."
"Don't worry, murder is a sign of affection." - An amalgamation of DunsparceFinished Rotom-Z's sprite
◊. Might make 3 more versions for shiny versions; one for Shiny!Rotom plus Normal!Porygon-Z, one for Normal!Rotom plus Shiny!Porygon-Z, and one for Shiny!Rotom plus Shiny!Porygon-Z. Those'll be a while, though.
Heh, Lair reminds me of Atticus from Mokepon.
Rt AU
My personal plans involve AU!Crewe (well, not really, but whatever) and her uncle using their extensive knowledge of the wilderness from their years of mapmaking and deliveries to ferry refugees out of Johto to different rebellion groups and stuff.
Along the way, AU!Crewe takes up the nickname "Harpe", and she, Katan, and Epona become essentially mercenaries, drifting from rebellion group to rebellion group without her uncle knowing.
I'm also playing the part of Austerium and his Aerial Corps.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! My only Rt AU plan thus far is a still vague idea based upon 2 songs for a mercenary duo named Pancho and Lefty where Lefty will end up betraying Pancho to the Dragons

Eskay: The Protect problem where it'll be immune to damage every other turn? Because any Pokemon with the move can do that.
AU!Prolio will have a (probably) strong resistance with his team, but I'm not sure if he'd be willing to join a larger group.
Oh, and I approve of the WEPON plan.
