Glad you guys like the idea.
Hehe... This has some great potential for hilarious mental images...
I'm now picturing DS and HotStuff exiting Skyla's gym, having just gotten the jet badge, when HotStuff looks over at DS and...
"<Hey, DS? Is it just me, or did Skyla snarl at us just before we walked out that door?>"
They'd either be eaten, overpowered, and/or sent to jail.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonI was just thinking, I'd figure that in order to capture Celebi Cyrus would probably use a Time Flute to summon her just for the sake of capturing her.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Maybe instead of Cyrus, it should be that nemesis of mine. He's free after all.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.I was thinking about ways this could work, and I think I've landed on one that's fairly decent. Cyrus (or whoever) captures Dialga, causes him to go Primal, and tries to change time, which requires a great deal of power. Celebi senses that something is wrong, and tries equally as hard to prevent time from being changed. The strain this puts on the time stream causes a Time Explosion, creating the alternate universe.
I don't know, I liked the idea of the alternate universe being an accident. What we have planned is obviously not what Cyrus would have in mind, so this would explain that. It's just an idea, we don't need to use it.

A few things I've thought about.
A: So, you're probably thinking, "Why can't Arceus fix everything in the AU arc? Surely he wouldn't fall for Cyrus' trap?"
Well, there's a good reason why he won't be able to help. Do you know just how much paperwork needs to be filled out upon the creation of an Alternate Universe? The answer? A LOT.
And since the legendaries are locked up in a pocket dimension thingy, Arceus won't have his usual staff to help him out. Which means hiring ordinary Pokémon as temps for help.
And they're not very good at their jobs. Not as good as the Legendaries are, anyway.
Also...
B: I've notice that Lake and Reshiram have been spending a lot of time together recently. Which is leading me to wonder what would have happened if Lake had been the one who had fallen in love with her.
For a start, it probably wouldn't be as awkward.

While I like both, I find the latter to be far more badass.
