@ Umbra
I'm sorry to hear that. Though you actually have a few further options if you happen to have a USB keyboard lying around. That is, all current home consoles support keyboards for their internet browser (though unfortunately, PS3s are the only ones to support USB mice AFAIK). It's hardly an ideal solution (though vastly preferable to typing with just the controller), but you *might* be able to use a console that you're around (e.g. your Wii or disc eater X Box at home) as a gimped computer.
x2 I'd say no, but I thought that I already made my opinion on Avenger clear. IMHO, it seems like a bit of a slippery slope to have unique non-canon moves and abilities. I think that if you really want a mon with that sort of niche ability-wise, why not just use the "Hero" ability already provided in PokeConquest?

Personally, I doubt Hero would be very balanced in the context of a Main Game style battle like those used in the RP. One of the main problems of the original draft of Avenger was that it didn't wind back down as the user got its revenge.
Fully understood, Wolf.

EDIT: It is now 3-2 in favour of "yes" if Silent's vote
◊ means anything. Which it does. So I will still be hoping for another "yes" so that it would be a more-than-one-vote-ahead win, whatever that would be officially called.

On Avenger
I say no. Fake (or rather improvised like my own Meteor Rage) moves are one thing. Fake abilities I'm not as cool with.
Contact Me!Am I the only person who's thinking that Nintendo is borrowing a few plot points we've had in the RP? I can think of at least two examples:
- Ghetis controlling Kyruem and having him attack the hero directly.
- The World Tournament (Seemingly similar to Gold Conference).

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing. You have no idea how hard I'm struggling to resist highlighting that spoiler :P
And as for Avenger, it's now 3-3... and I'm still not 100% sure what Tracer's vote is. You're wording it in an unusual way. Since we had a serious problem with misunderstandings earlier today, could you clarify with just "yes" or "no"?
Okay, 4-3 No plus whatever Tracer's vote actually was.
I'm slightly concerned by the fact that every "no" has just been because of being uncomfortable with the general concept of fake Abilities, not because it's legitimately bad. I'd prefer people keep an open mind about things like this, especially when similar things have been allowed, but I won't try to force any changed opinions. I'm just requesting open-mindedness.
And Dream World abilities do happen sometimes in-RP. Umbra's Golurk, Mata Nui, comes to mind.

No we don't. DS' Swanna and Lilligant are DW 'mons, and my Snivy has her DW Ability, although she was born conventionally.
The thing is...it's a bit of a slippery slope, and it makes people uncomfortable. You point out that we've done things like this before. True, there are one or two moves that are WAAPT-unique. However, an Ability is something bigger than moves. And further down the line, we might be looking back and saying "Well, we let an original Ability in, why not X thing that is similar, but slightly bigger?"
It's an interesting idea, and I love the amount of thought you've put into making it balanced, but I just can't get behind it.
