Empoleon it is! :D
I'm leaning toward Tyrogue for Donny. Villagers are sort of a special class. They don't promote like the other units do, but they can be reclassed to almost anything. Sort of like how Tyrogue can become one of three Pokemon. Either that, or Eevee, but we have a lot of those, already.

Sorry for the double-post, but I want to get this out here.
I just spent quite a long time working on a discussion post asking for help with making the Fire Emblem Pokemon as game-accurate as possible, with their various strengths and weaknesses, based on their classes, in addition to keeping with their pretty well-matched appearances (thanks to everyone for helping!). But then I realized that, with the game coming out tomorrow it won't be long before we know the character-specific strengths and weaknesses, as well as what their best growths are.
So basically, I'm saying that over the next couple days, I would like some help making sure that my characters match up with the canon characters, if that's okay with everyone.
Also, that I would like at least until the end of the week to nail this down, before we start the PMD. They won't show up right away, but I would like this done before we start.

At Wolf
Does Friday sound good? Or can we go with a staggering approach where some groups go before others?
Contact Me!At Wolf
Kewl. :3 Though I do really want to start as soon as possible.

Contact Me!Double post because IMPORTANT.
Now, there's an issue with starting PMD. Some of us (like myself) want to start ASAP and get our plans rolling, partially because they're big plans and partially since most of us have nothing to do in the in-between period. Others, like DS, supposedly still have plans for Sinnoh and stuff, or in Wolf's case need to refine their plans for PMD, and in Star's case still need to actually get into things.
Me, Luke, and Silent proposed a staggered approach. We go in groups, with the ones who want to go immediately going first, and the others staying behind until ready. Hopefully, there's someone who knows enough about PMD among the second group to open a portal the way Palkia describes.
I really do think this is the best solution, and dates for the start of each visit should probably be determined, again, ASAP. Also remember that PMD itself can last a while longer to accommodate.
Contact Me!I only have a minor problem with the staggered approach.
My plans can't actually start until the plot crystal is broken, so even if I went ahead and got to PMD early, I would have nothing to do. And if we wait for the plot to start until everyone gets there, I'm still in trouble. :/
Agh, why do people start stuff in the time dedicated to loose ends?!
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! While I wish we could all go in together, I guess we've got to do what we've got to do.
I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that the flood of information I was hoping for hasn't hit yet. The good news is that details on the children characters in the game are starting to emerge (after Chapter 10, or something like that, units with the highest support level will get married and their children start to become playable characters). Seeing as all the characters I chose to base Pokemon off of are from the start of the game (well, except for Tiki, but all you need to know about Manakete is that they are absurdly powerful when transformed), their base stats should be arriving soon. Hopefully later tonight, or early tomorrow.
Anom: We're not just delaying it for you. Some of us still need some time.
Who said we weren't gonna start the Shard hunt soon after we got there? :/

Contact Me!I do wonder how Tagg will complete Destiny Tower. It IS the longest, hardest, most painful dungeon in the entire series, never reached by even the best exploration teams, to say nothing of Tagg being less accustomed to his Pokemon form than a natural Pokemon would be.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

That would work too, I suppose. I chose Hydreigon because they can fly, which is an important element of Dragonknights.
