Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Anyway, for tomorrow (Fri) I have pretty much the whole day free, except I have to go to Aunt's to fetch and organize some stuff. Dunno how long it will take.
Thus, for tomorrow localtime afternoon (that is, about 10 hrs from this post) if I have not arrived, some of you are free to make some assumptions. Particularly, that Silent left PEFE HQ en route to Johto, presumably also taking Casval and Artesia, as well as probably Steven, for the ride. Silent will also be taking some mons from other players, at least specifically Helios (from Tagg) and Teala (from Tracer). The blimp zeppelin will arrive to Johto wherever is plot-convenient, so feel free to just write a "landing" post anytime you want.
Also, TV stations across Johto will be airing programs about the Sinnoh blackout, with more than one fake prophet saying stuff like it is the end of the world, etc., and I expect that the internet circles are already wondering where is the J-Team.
Be seeing you sometime tomorrow.

Anyway, was talking to some other players as well as to Shimaspawn about the character page split, and we have a couple of issues.
First, while we could take the obvious choice of splitting alphabetically... Who do we alphabetize on? The Trainers? But the Pokémon are their own characters! The Pokémon? But that'll make teams and relations a pain to sort out! Of course we could also split by trainers instead of alphabetically. Pikaninja also suggests split by time period, by which I assume he means player join date. There are various ways to go around it, none is even nearly optimal, and none is really correctable without page cutting if we mess up something.
Second, the characters page has too much redundant information, and at this time it is more a character treaty or Bestiary than, well, a Character Sheet. It really needs a trim, or better a liposuction, and needs to make better use of data sources. Do we really need to eg.: inform people that Nadia has flight, is blue, attacks with her claws or can serve as a mount? She is a Salamence! And we have at least two pages detailing everything that Salamences can do! What the character sheet should detail are things that pertain to the character, not the species.
In view of that I'm asking for opinions about how to split and how to liposuction the page, ideally both without losing too much information. I still suggest we launch WAAPTWiki ^.^
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I'm a bit skittish about bringing an issue up, given what happened Tuesday, so, please take the time in advance to be able to read this calmly and thoughtfully.
Regarding last night's heat:
The first issue is simply that people were conflating the other two issues into one, dragging Rex into a matter he did not see as a big problem.
The second issue is that Rex is feeling a bit ignored, with not many people interacting with his characters given the opportunity. There should not be any kind of drama over this, really, just raising of awareness.
The third issue is that there still seems to be a persistent misunderstanding of the Keystone plot. Yes, there are Spiritomb to fight. No, the arc is not the "let's fight Spiritomb and have no plot" arc. There is plenty of exploration and puzzle fodder for getting the 108 Tears to fully detwilight Sinnoh, and room for sidequests and such in the lit sections. (Not to mention an opportunity for more RP-ers to meet the Cubone tribe!) I'd prefer not to quote if I could, but frankly, "cliche Aura Wizard rubbish" and "explosions" are, well... kinda dismissive of the planning that's gone into this.
So, as is always good advice, let's please try to listen more and yell less?

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Apparently some people haven't quite gotten the message going by what I've seen in the social chat, so let me say it again, apart from the twilight and the wisps it's hardly a Pokemon tailored carbon copy of TP.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Yes, there won't be any Master Swords or Princesses or snarky imps or whatever. The whole twlighting thing, as well as the "Tears of Light" you guys have to find are pretty much the only things copied wholesale from the game. The rest is purely original.
So you don't have to worry about turning into a Mightyena or anything. ;)
Let me make it a little clearer so that people will understand (And not ask the same questions all over again). Each area governed by a lake will have 35 Tears/Plot Coupons/Whatever, for a total of 108 including the Emblems we'll be getting from the lake trio after getting them all back. We're doing it in order to avoid confusion. (Though if needed we could split up to take on the other two areas after all of Mesprit's Tears are collected.)
As for how you get the Tears, the answer is however you feel like. Fighting, puzzles, whatever, doesn't matter. The only thing is, as a group, each settlement has to have at least one Tear in it.
Also for reference, here's this map

Ok, So apparently, Google docs has a way to publish docs so that it opes as a web page and not as whatever it comes up as when loaded while logged in/ using the current link
So, here's the hopefully more memory friendly link:

Good luck with your Infinity Keystone arc, Tagg!
