I thought it was going pretty well.
O'kay, since the finale is coming, I've been designing a couple of side scenarios with Pikaninja, the discussion for which begins here
.
On one hand, Silent, Casval and Wally as well as other Trainers will be checking the Mauville Underground for traces of Charon because of its unique tactical value - a power plant that can provide power output Charon will probably need, not to mention an adequate shelter for operation with more or less ready access to supplies. I'll leave to Pikaninja what to find in that location, but in the least it will amount to evidence of Charon's activities in the region, a power loss for Charon's equipment, and an opening that might allow Wally more direct involvement in the finale.
We think other locations could have important traces of Charon's presence that could amount to something if other characters want to check them, be it transfer of supplies (I mean, one thing that NCIS taught me is that even if you are a terrorist leader secluded in the desert, you'll want some good US brand coffee) or an avenue for him to control the government (he'd probably want to more directly interact with them, since he'll be holding the region ransom for money). For example, he could have some presence such as a hacked server in a Hoenn TV channel for a Do Not Adjust Your Set moment or something, and even at this point he might be needing to somehow divert attention towards TA/TM.
Bottom line, the idea is to guarantee that everyone who wants to have significant involvement in the finale can do so without having to gather the group against a single opposition (and thus run against Distribution of Ninjutsu). At the same time, this should allow us to write our NPCs and other people who actually live in Hoenn and should be interested in these events, like, you know, policemen and geologists, into actually doing something.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? What I meant is that today was a good example of why I shouldn't return. I came in and whined about not being able to RP and accomplished nothing except wasting my day. And spent a lot of it sitting in silence, too.
Though you say that was a chat glitch?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!OK, due to timezones we did not finish tonight...
I don't think anyone would mind if DS or anyone up before Fool goes to bed can RC the Weather Trio... just to get the scene done soon, as me/Tagg/Every presumably won't be on until later. If so, Tracer wants to see this incantation or similar
used.
See you all tomorrow.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Just wanted to apologize again for being a blockhead. I should have raised concerns about chat health here, where tempers are calmer, not in the chatroom.
On a lighter note, the following TMs are available for whoever would like Tangent to give them one:
- Kudzu - Grass Stealth Rock
- Beat Mesa - (scratched disc)
- Hit Yourself - Targets user.
- Ice Blade
- Refrigerate - Freeze status move.
- Thunder Armor - See anime
- Rage Tackle - See anime
- Poke - Does exactly 1 damage.
- Laser Pointer - Puts colored spot on wall.
- Faux Beam - Looks like Hyper Beam, but does no damage.
- Fireworks - Damage + reduces accuracy
- Cloak - 2-turn Normal Shadow Force
- Spike Armor - damage-on-contact Defense Curl
- Bear Hug - Prevents Escape that turn
- Thunderspark - Passes on Static
- Call For Family
- Do The Wave
- Defend
- Rock Lancelet
- Lash
Someone might be interested in Laser Pointer to deal with Felis. Be careful though~
.
Perhaps some of the others merit better explanation.
- Hit Yourself - Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Advantage? Well, if you are [confused] you are not going to go with that, right? So you'll hit the opponent.
- Spike Armor is from the TCG
and adds a damage-on-physical-contact status to the Defense Boost. It is learnable by Sandslash, Nidorina/Nidoqueen, Lairon/Aggron and Cranidos/Rampardos, so I'll guess it is learnable by any other Pokémon that has a spiky shell and can curl, though any more escape me ATM.
- Thunderspark is from the TCG as well and simply passes Static onto the opponent, in a manner similar to Worry Seed. Dunno if it causes damage, don't have the card page at hand.
- Bear Hug is from the TCG for Ursaring and I'm gonna guess Beartic. Exactly What It Says on the Tin and prevents the opponent from being recalled.
- Rock Lancelet is "the high-accuracy, high-output move Rock-type should have", more or less.
- Lash is from Golden Sun and I've interpreted it as a very precise Flying type energy manipulation. Unlike "big wave" moves (Air Slash, etc), Lash uses very fine manipulation of microcurrents in the short range to manipulate a nearby object such as a rope into tying itself into a knot.
