OK, so, Halloween arc idea, since it seems it never left the chatroom months back when most people were never there:

  • Halloween party on New Island.
  • Basket, Lake, a few other conspirators use a mad science virus thing to turn themselves into Charizard 'M as a prank to get back at Phantom and Hallow. (And be the talk of the party)
  • It goes out of control, and others start getting infected
  • "Rules":
    • Anyone in skin contact with a Charizard 'M becomes one of them, and joins the hivemind of any nearby infected
    • Infectees retain their basic personality, but the hivvemind gives then an overpowering urge to infect others and speak in first-person-plural
    • Ingesting a Lava Cookie (which are readily available from the snack table) turns an infectee back to normal

I would suggest the Mummy ability instead.

That sounds fun! evil grin

I'd like to vote for Legendaries as well. I can hang out with Jirachi, please? :3

My avatar is angry because I haven't eaten my acorn yet, Rex. I wanted it to be about lettuce, but I have no idea what the Lapine for lettuce is...

As for plots: I might get in for the Halloween party. It depends mostly on how the Halloween party goes IRL though. By that time and with the current plot plans, I'm more likely going to be at Mandarin S having Maekrite's Jerkass Day though...

Also, Legendaries messing with us sounds nice.

I'm voting for Legendaries screwing with us.

As for the Infection idea, how about we try something a bit more original?

Anyone recall the pokedex entry for Deoxys? It was a Space Virus...

We've met Deoxys, though, and she's pretty cool with us.

So what happens if I'm eating a Lava cookie when I come into contact with one of the infecteds?

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Um...Lava Cookie grants a cure, not an immunity. So unless it were sliding down your esophagus at the moment you get turned, you're still stuck as an Infected.

....Note that I have no real idea what I'm talking about, and the above two sentences were conjecture.

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

We don't have to be Charizard specifically, but Mummy places everyone under the original Mummy's control in this RP; doesn't work as a prank. We need some kind of viral thing with the out-of-control hivemind unanticipated.

Charizard 'M just happens to reference an existing game phenomenon, though any species works.

[up] & [up][up] Kinda what Every said. In process of eating = cured as soon as infected, digesting in stomach = vulnerable again.

Turned into Charizard, then finishing off the cookie in your claws out of habit = "was I a Charizard for a second? *shrug*"

Or forget the above, and just recall that Rule of Funny wins out in edge cases. tongue

Having a Charizard virus sounds fun.

I don't know anything about the mindscape thing and I haven't met any legendary long enough to realistically grant me to be messed with. Also, I'm back in Pallet Town so participating in this Charizard M' thing is probably out of the question for me.

[up] It's a special occasion (and likely something of a BLAM). Find an excuse to show up, and no one will question it.

Just take a boat south- New Island isn't that far from Pallet.

Amd yes, it'll be a bit BLAM-y. We're playing this for comedy, in the end.

Also, plot bunny for an Avatar arc sometime during PMD. (Water, Fire, Ground, and Flying nations tongue) But I haven't worked out much in the way of details.

Seeing as I'm partial to Electric types, I'm not gonna automatically gonna drop into any faction, so what are each of their goals?

EDIT: Also, won't the whole thing become some sort of moot plot once a pokémon like, say Ninjask or Accelgor gets infected?

Goals? It's a stock Zombie Apocalypse story with the twist that the cure is really freaking simple. Basically, it's an excuse to celebrate Halloween. tongue

I vote Minescape. And maybe the Legendary pranks too. I can see Tornadus prank calling Anom constantly as karma. Or Mewtwo distorting someone's dreams to look like a Picasso-esque world.

Explain the mindscape to me, this sounds interesting.

Also, I have a big idea for a major arc, called Trainers in Time. Working out details.

The mindscape is essentially a shared mental landscape among Trainers, triggered by whatever is the Phlebotinum of the Week. The plot there would be a sort of shared Fantastic Voyage with a mix of Battle in the Center of the Mind, if I get things correctly, and it involves our mons trying to help us go from Trainer's mind to Trainer's mind defeating our inner demons to restore us from an eternal slumber or something...

There are better details at the log, but I can't find them ATM.

That sounds interesting.

Anyway, Trainers in Time basically consists of the trainers travelling through time to fight a villain that has managed to find a way to travel through time as well, and is attempting to alter history for a mysterious goal. We will go across time and space, and even learn a bit about myself.

We just finished an arc with a history altering villain. It played out differently, in that it was an alternate universe, but it's pretty similar, I think.
