If I recall correctly, Palkia creates a pocket dimension with the intent to imprison Cyrus in it, except Primal Dialga pushes her in before she can do so, then somehow manages to get the other legendaries in there too before sealing it back up again.

And I fully approve of AU!Silent being immune too PE Fe DOS's Nidotoxin.

Yeah, that is right. The way I see it, Palkia gets knocked into the portal by Dialga's time-altering shock waves when he loses control of his power and alters the timeline.

Shortly after the AU is created, Cyrus would have Primal Dialga seal away the other legendaries in the other dimension as well, which by now has taken on the appearance of the Bad Future from PMD: Explorers Of Time/Darkness/Sky games based on Dialga's memories of a timeline that no longer exists.

Luckily, Palkia managed to make sure to create an exit of some sort that she could open to get back to the real world just before being pushed in. Since Palkia is the only one who knows where said exit is, and is the only one who can open it, the Lake Trio would try to find their sister, not knowing that she has been turned to stone...

Almost makes sense; just not sure how PD is supposed to be able to seal the other legendaries- that would seem like it requires... delicate work.

Maybe it's part way through his transformation, before he goes fully primal? Like the final boss of Explorers?

I think I've hit a stumbling block as far as AU!Mezzo goes. I'd like her to be aligned with Artemis and Scolipede, but how would she ever do that if she's never met the rest of the group and thus can't understand Monese?

Well, I think we've planned on having the trainers somehow maintaining their ability to understand Pokémon speech. Which would probably be the trainers' first indication in the AU arc that something isn't right.

For AU! Straw, I was thinking that he would have stayed a Pokemon Ranger. This is really all I have right now.

How do Artemis and Scolipede gain power anyway? I need to know for AU!Straw.

Well, AU!Silent is gonna be somewhere around Goldenrod, very very far from [REDACTED], but yeah, he still being immune to poisons makes sense. I have to discuss his potential storyline there with Luke during the weekend, I guess something can happen that calls me back to HQ.

I'm interested in knowing more about how Scolipede gained power and how much different are things in the AU, because AU!Silent's backstory is likely gonna be highly divergent from RP!Silent, even taking the "Constant" into consideration. For one, no Dintel — sorry, guys. sad And the whole idea of us retaining the ability to speak Monese is a good point, I was about to ask what happened with that...

Also, if AU!Straw is still with the Rangers I was planning on eventually bring another character I'm working on, to practice Character Development.

There's one point I'd like to know, too: When did Artemis and Scolipede take over? Like, 15 years ago? Less? More?

So like, everyone wakes up one morning and can suddenly understand Monese. That would definitely alert them to something not being right.

Well, we're not really sure about how they took over the world, or how long it has been. Although, we can assume it has only been for one or two years or something. I think I may have implied that Artemis is only a few years old through flashbacks anyway.

Oh, okay. That makes my backstory make a ton more sense.

Essentially, AU!Crewe is living with her uncle because her dad moved to Unova to find a new job (before they took over) and her mom lost her job. Her uncle offered to take her in until her mom found a new job, and she became, essentially, his assistant.

Where they live I'm not sure yet. It's definitely gonna be in Johto, but besides that I dunno.

Maybe it's part way through his transformation, before he goes fully primal?

But, if Dialga still retains the mental facilities to setup a prison, why would he?

Speaking of which, I do plan on showing on at least one occasion that Dialga is Fighting from the Inside. (or at least, trying to)

If the Dialga at the end of Explorers has enough mental facilities to speak coherently, why does it attack you?

Note Dialga did not have the facilities to interpret what the PCs were telling it, has no idea who they are, and really only has enough awareness to know that "stuff is going crazy".

That, and "speaking" is a lot easier than "constructing a secure dimensional prison", especially when your native element is time, not space. Get an engineer drunk, they can talk semi-clearly, and even fight, but they aren't going to be designing a bridge.

I really have nothing to say about what Jane will do in the AU Arc that I haven't said already. She will not have been found by Gabriela, which led to her being raised in Mossdeep by the Swampert population (which is not hunted because they're the starter pokemon), while none of her pokemon will be available (for instance, Gallade isn't around because his initial way of meeting Jane [running up to her and growling like there was no tomorrow] got him grievously injured to the point of death).

Portales, on the other hand, will have a completely different backstory. He never got caught while in the Celestial Tower, and lived long enough to see The Eldest Beheeyem pass away before the Scolemis forces messed everything up and separated him from Lampent/Chandelure. Chandelure dies, and that spurrs him on to evolve and Set Right What Once Went Wrong, trying to see if there's any way to stop the Scolemis forces. Ergo, he joins the Resistance, and becomes a hardcore Barrier Warrior who is not as open with his emotions as the Portales we all know and love.

If we're still trying to get around the issue of having an insanely powerful but incoherent entity do stuff that requires a little finesse, I THINK that I may have a solution to that problem... Have Cyrus or Ardos (or both) build some manner of "Devil's Machine" for Primal Dialga. For those not in the loop, the Devil's Machine is the device that enables the main antagonist of the game that it hails from to remain coherent enough to attempt to undermine the player characters' attempts to stop "him" by channeling his powers (e.g. possessing pedestrians).

Also, someone mentioned in the PEFE chat that there actually is a form of summon "magic" in the Pokeverse... Albeit probably not as flashy as we had initially envisioned...

The trouble there is, Giygas is the antagonist because he's evil, right?

Whereas Primal Dialga is the antagonist because he's incoherent/insane. Mitigate that, and he's opposed to Cyrus.

Cyrus is the main antagonist of the AU arc, controlling Dialga and Celebi.
