@ Wolf: Summon magic essentially calls up an entity that isn't immediately present for a short (as in "usually a few minutes, tops") period of time to help in combat. (Think along the lines of Leviathan or Bahamut in Final Fantasy...) Examples of summon magic within a Pokemon context could include stuff like summoning legendaries or in a more mundane context, to summon groups of Pokemon (e.g. a murder of Murkrow).
Murder of Murkrows, eh? Something like KROWAGA!!!!. Hmmm.... sounds nice. I want the Summon Herd of Cutesy Nidorans spell for distraction... (that, or El-Ahrairah, since Pokémon still lacks a Poison Legendary proper...)
For more explanation, I guess it's important to add that summons this way shouldn't be stackable. Not only it's not fair to spam Legendaries like crazy, but even if it could be done, it'd cost mana or (gasp!) Life Energy to no end. More for high-end Legendary Summons like, say, the Weather Trio or the Five Elements.
And most likely, P Cers could have signature, unique, somewhat situational Summons.
Safer that way, if the Legendaries will be unavailable... a pretty good point. Rayquaza Solarbeaming from the heavens must pack as good a punch as an Exa Flare...

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?^x2 No one said that a deranged time pony necessarily would have been able to create an airtight prison.
But anywho, summon magic typically scales with respect to what's being summoned. e.g. Summoning a group of 4-5 normal Pikachu will take less time, effort/skill, and mana than attempting to summon a Kaiju Pikachu (assuming that such a summon would even be possible). In both cases, the summon will disappear off to wherever it came from shortly after its arrival (e.g. a turn in battle).
Were legendary summons possible in the AU arc, they'd be three things: Not available at the start (with good reason), insanely costly to prepare and use (again, with good reason), and ultimately wouldn't change the predicament that the legendaries captured by Dialga were in (having a whopping turn of freedom before being returned to whatever prison ye olde deranged time pony set up for them).
I was thinking about what my team would be in the AU arc.
Because my RP!Team is based primarily on my White Team, Diamond Team and Soul Silver Team. I think I would base my AU!Team on my Black Team, Heart Gold team and Nuzlocke Challange Green Team.
Doesn't Docter Whoof count as a Time Pony?

I'm having to learn to pay the priceSo that means AU!Fool's team would be:
- Elvis the Simisage (Black)
- Napoleon The Emboar (Black)
- Antonio the Carracosta (Black)
- Stella the Skamory (HG)
- Cuddlekins the Houndoom (HG)
- Yaminokame the Frosslass (HG)
My backup team would be based on my current Green Nuzlocke Team:
- Itchy the Fearow
- Fin The Gyarados
- Eridan the Blastoise
- Rose the Nidoqueen
- Eggs the Pidgeot
- Doze the Raitcate
(I've bumped up Eridan and Eggs just for the purpose of this RP)
I will also have three other Pokemon to form a Power Trio that would be Played for Laughs.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI was wondering whether or not Yanmega was going to be part of the AU arc.
Anyways, DS will be shown telling her Sinnoh team about what is going on during one of the flashbacks narrating the events leading up to DS' disappearance. They probably wouldn't understand much of it to begin with, but they will have by the time they catch up to the trainers that have been gathered so far.

Not really... Haze would eliminate status changes, which would help if the foe is trying to use Swords Dance or Curse or anything like that. Reflect and Light Screen double the physical and Special Defense, respectively, of my whole team for 5 turns. Cryogonal's Defense is too low to be helped by it and its Special Defense is very high already, but could be made nearly unstoppable by Special Attackers. There's not much else.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
