A monocle would be awesome.

But then I'd only be able to see clearly out of one eye.

One monocle and one contact lens?

Ew, contacts.

I wear them for sports and stuff, but I like my glasses infinitely better.

Contacts sound gross to me. If I ever need eye correction I'm going with glasses.

I prefer glasses over contacts, just because I hate contacts and glasses provide some protection for my eyes.

I don't mind contacts, glasses are just preferable to me. And a lot easier to put on. I don't notice my contacts after a few minutes, but if I wear them too long they get uncomfortable. And if I try to put in dry contacts it hurts like hell.

Also, I've had people try to poke me in the eye while I was wearing glasses. I laugh so incredibly hard at them.

Well, I'm doing something dramatic in another RP, and I just watched two leaked episodes of Generator Rex, so I'm really distracted right now.

Jane? Somehow Problem Sleuth is feeling... longer than Homestuck. I'm on chapter six since I started trying to read it a couple weeks ago?

Granted I've been reading it slowly... does the pace pick up?

No. It gets really slow.

But the HSQ just keeps going through the roof. Seriously, the escalation in Problem Sleuth is ridiculous.

Sorry I was away today, by the way (ugh, rhymes).

All this talk of glasses reminded me of something.

Tangent, you do not read Problem Sleuth slowly. If you read it slowly, it will be agonizing. Read it quickly or don't read it at all.

I read the whole thing in about three days.

Wolf, during the GC are you allowed to have more than one Pokemon holding the same held item?

Also, since the teams are already known, are we allowed to bring in what we want or do we have to lock in a team first?

I have no rules regarding held items. That's for you to decide.

The point of getting people to lock their teams first was to take away the advantage of foreknowledge of what they're facing. I'll assume that you can make a team that will provide a fair fight, and not bulldoze your opponent.

On the subject of glasses, I haven't tried contacts yet. Probably because I like my glasses, and I think I look prettier with them on than without them.

On the subject on the RP, while Goggles hasn't been shown using the ability Krookodile possess to use their eyes as binoculars yet, I'll probably show him using it a few times during the AU arc.

And while I'm talking about the upcoming AU arc, I've noticed that there are (obviously) a few references to PMD: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky in it:

  • There's Primal Dialga, of course.
  • The appearance of the dimension most of the legendary Pokémon are imprisoned in will bear a resemblence to the Bad Future of those games.
  • And, here's one that was actually unintentional on my part: A Cloud Cuckoolander (Goggles) with a bird Pokémon (Chase) as his assistant. Doesn't that sound familiar? wink

Will Chase be a real stickler for the rules of the resistance?

Maybe we could even go as far to have a random Grovyle be a member of the resistance? :P

But Grovyle wasn't part of the Wigglytuff Guild...

Heck, I don't think Grovyle and Wigglytuff are ever on the screen at the same time, except maybe when Grovyle is being taken back to the future (And even then, I think Wigglytuff might have been absent for that.).

Actually, they do both appear on-screen during one of the scenes in Brine Cave.

That was my second guess. It's when you head to the backmost room to call Lapras, right?

Yeah, IIRC. It's been a while since I saw that scene.

I thought it would sort of fit to have a Grovyle as a random resistance member, just to fit with the subtle PMD theme we've got going on here.

Every time we talk about the AU Resistance, I always think of Portales being a hardcore Barrier Warrior. It is a happy thought.

I'm a bit worried. I'll be going on vacation some time this summer, and it will most likely be during the AU arc. If I'm playing Scolipede and his minions, this creates a problem...

I'll be gone for at least a week, probably longer, though.
