Alright, since I've got some more things about this worked out now, might as well make a proper D!Post for it, even if there are some things I still need to get worked out. I've got a good while to get some of that worked out though.
Anyway...
The Hundred Thousand Year Door
What is it?
Pretty much a subplot based on Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, though with a few changes hopefully people will enjoy.
When/Where will it be taking place?
Sometime next year hopefully. Orre wouldn't really work well for it and it would probably get in the way of some of my Orre and Kalos plans, not to mention possibly those of others who may want to participate.
It'll probably be in the next arc we have in Hoenn or Sinnoh that people who are interested can spare characters for because both regions have nice places to stick TYD locations, though I am still stumped on a good place for Keelhaul Key...
Of course, if everyone's fine with it, we could always just go to other regions during the arc as well and we're going to need to end up leaving the region proper for the X-Naut Fortress anyway, so eh.
Basic Plot Summary
The plot starts off in [Rogueport Equivalent]* , where Sakura and team find a strange figure with a treasure chest. Sakura manages to open the chest and inside finds a map which is supposed to help lead to a treasure deep beneath [Rogueport Equivalent]. Sometime after finding this map, though, she is kidnapped by a group of Beldum-line mons with questionable motives known as the X-Nauts who seek the treasure as well. They are unable to get ahold of the map, however, and it ends up in the hands of whoever ends up participating in the arc. Said group eventually runs into a duo of Foongus-line archaeologists and with them learns of an old Alakagross City located underneath the main city containing a large door behind which the fabled treasure lies. To reach this treasure, however, they need seven keys known as the Crystal Stars that the Magical Map leads them to in order to rescue Sakura, stop the X-Nauts, and find out what the treasure really is.
Possible problems
A couple of plot points for this arc somewhat require me to devote certain locations to it, for example, a giant Hydreigon terrorizing Mauville and Vendanturf and having turned New Mauville into its fortress, if that ends up taking place in Hoenn as well as probably making an entirely new location for Glitzville and pretty much the existence of an Alakagross city under [Rogueport equivalent] and the establishing of a Pokemon Underworld in it (that isn't necessarily Murkrow) as well. Hopefully the changes I make are fine enough with everyone, though I'd like to get said problems out of the way while this is still in planning and will try and make as few changes that people would find questionable permanently, so hopefully we can work through that.
So... that's what I've got so far.
Thoughts? Concerns? Suggestions?
"Don't worry, murder is a sign of affection." - An amalgamation of DunsparceCrow: Looks good, but how do we incorporate the audience? :P As for location mabye a large noncanon island would work?
As for Cipher characters...
I was originally going to have Odin own under-represented mons and mons with high offensive stats for inflicting maximum pain (all Shadowed, of course) but then I decided it would be better if I made his team comprised of mons people want to snag. So if there's a mon you want to snag, pitch it to me and I'll try to incorporate it.
(Also, strangely tempted for Umbra to snag Paula's Togekiss, because I feel sorry for it.)
Contact Me!WAAPT-wise Cipher figured out how to make more arm-mounted ones.
EDIT: Ninjask'd.

Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Umbra: I was considering that, yeah.
As for the audience, only thing I can think of is that they just randomly show up and possibly include random NP Cs or PC characters who may or may not be aware of their sudden inclusion in the audience.
Though unlike in the actual game, the only move using Star Power we'll end up having at our disposal is Sweet Treat unless people really think we should be able to use more and I can think of a way around something I've got planned to keep the Crystal Stars mostly just useful for this arc, so the audience won't be quite as useful here as in the actual game.

"Don't worry, murder is a sign of affection." - An amalgamation of DunsparceAlso, on another note...
Since Umbra is snagging a mon in Orre, I want one for Lina now, but even though this has met opposition in the past... I want her to get a Delta. Because it's not exactly fair if all these other people get Deltas but I can't.
I'd use Gorga, but she wouldn't work for reasons, so I came up with a Bug/Dragon Growlithe named Chimera. I still need to decide on a personality and a gender, but I want to know if it would be OK.

Contact Me!I plan on having DS and Lillith find out about a secret two trainer double battle tournament being held somewhere where Shadow Pokémon are prices, so Lillith suggest they disguise themselves (simply by changing up their usual outfits a little) so no one will recognize them (Audience member 1: "Hey! Isn't that DS?" Audience member 2: "Can't be; she's not wearing glasses.") and enter the tournament in order to prevent some Shadow Pokémon from falling into the wrong hands.
DS ends up getting a female Shadow Minccino who seems to be obsessed with cleaning, even while she tends to scrub too hard and may end up breaking or damaging what she is trying to clean while she's a Shadow Pokémon. Lillith will get a male Shadow Seviper, who seems to spend most of his time giving people nasty glares and trying to eat smaller Pokémon it comes across. (both the Minccino and the Seviper will probably become much more sensible once they are purified)
I also have planned a part where DS and Lillith must help Lillith's rival the Phenac Snob, whose Milotic has been stolen by Cipher. They get it back before it is shadow-fied, but the Milotic is grateful for being saved, she doesn't particularly look forward to going back to her trainer since she finds her trainer's obsession with Darien quite annoying.

Umbra: As I've said before, I plan on Crewe getting Shadowfied. Straw and I have plans for how that goes down, but I suppose Odin could end up with her instead of some random peon.
I have a question about that, actually.
So when Crewe gets Shadowfied, should she get mode locked into Sneasel? Or do we want to consider the idea that she can become a Shadow human?
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Crow: I wanted a Bug/Dragon that was decidedly neither a bug nor a Dragon. :P
And Odin could have Shadow!Machop and Shadow!Crewe, yes~
Contact Me!Umbra: Ah.
But at any rate, that would be a good way for Ricin to be a thing, though I don't know. I kind of wanted Maggie to snag her mid-early in the arc and I don't know when opportunities to battle Odin would be.
As for Crow, both of the Shadows he'll be getting will be given to him rather than snagged, though I probably should work out some of the details of that with Straw.
