Uh, no. What you are saying is the equivalent of every single subplot in every Zelda game somehow linking back to Zelda, even if it would make no sense to do so.
Yes, the Mishimas are the main characters and host the tournaments, but not everyone gets involved because they specifically are tied to the Mishimas. Folks are allowed to have their own stories and motivations without it being tied to the A plot with the Mishimas. Trying to connect everything to the A plot would just make a contrived mess.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Sub plots are allowed to exist. Heck, Tekken already has subplots, the problem is that they never amount to anything.
Edit: I knew a ninja once. They'd get to every single thing six seconds before I could.

They'll turn your world aroundI don't mind the Female soldier being ultra-buxom and all (Nina, Anna, and Julia, much?), but I hope the Tekken team put more clothes on her. I'm all for having sexy, curvy females but it can easily get to a point where it's distracting.
You have no idea of how many times I've lost to Mai Shiranui and (Classic) Chun-Li in competitive matches back in the day...
Hopeless VanityHah. Not by a longshot. Even some of the characters whose plots are tied to the Mishimas don't necessarily enter the tournament just to get at them specifically.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Mishimas tend to be either final bosses or the guy you fight before the final boss. Everyone has to go through them even if they have no beef with them.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I've been playing Project × Zone and have been wondering about Mrs. Mishima for the first time. I wonder what she was like. It can't have been pretty married to a guy that threw your firstborn son off of a cliff and also cheated on you with some Swiss chick. Then again, she may have died before things got... bad... between Heihachi and Kazuya.
Maybe she died in birth.
Do not obey in advance.I think a recent word of god from Harada's Twitter implies that the Devil Gene came from her side of the family, not Heihachi's.
There might be more to her than meets the eye.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Apparently Heihachi wasn't so bad before Kazuya turned out to be a bad(der) egg. An amoral business tycoon responsible for chaining his father beneath a temple and developing military weaponry, yes, but Kaz pushed him into overt villainy.
So... she might of looked the other way for some of his discretions.
Yeah. It just skipped a generation in Heihachi's case so that the events of 4 make sense, or so we think. Picking Heihachi up allows Ogre to transform in 3, so he has... something.

I thought the Devil Gene came from Kazuya making a Deal with the Devil after being thrown into a ravine by Heihachi, and the thing possessing Jinpachi was something else entirely.
They'll turn your world aroundJinpachi doesn't have the Devil Gene. He just happened to be possessed by a demonic entity, but this happened after Kazuya and Jin gained their devil powers.
I think the "Kazuya made a deal with the devil" thing has been harmonized by saying that Kazuya having the Devil Gene allowed Devil to make the contract and enter his body and such? I am not sure if this is canon or just fanwank though.
It's worth noting that if Tekken 3's opening is to be taken at face value, Jin wasn't actually possessed by Devil until he was a teenager (as one of the scenes in the opening is Devil "marking" Jin with his iconic arm mark), but he obviously carried the gene since birth.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.So... back in the day, Kazuya made a pact with the Devil (even stated in the instruction booklet of Tekken 2), in order to gain the Devil Gene?
And in recent years, Kazuya... inherited the Devil Gene from Kazumi?
...
Man, the Tekken story-line is definitely snarling.
The Devil Gene was introduced in Tekken 4. Before that, it was just "Kazuya, and later Jin, were possessed by the Devil". I personally kinda like the Devil Gene idea better , and as I said, the two ideas are not irreconcilable.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I always interpreted it as "Heihachi/Jin are strong dudes, and Ogre transforms when absorbing the powers of strong dudes". Since, after all, Ogre's purpose is to kill and absorb the power (mostly the latter apparently, as of the guys he attacked between Tekken 2 and 3, Jun and King I were the only fatalities I think) of strong dudes.
I mean, Heihachi is strong enough that he has lightning powers without any supernatural origin that we know of. He qualifies as "strong dude".

I guess I like the idea of Female Tekken Force Solider, but her design is...kinda terrible. I am glad she didn't get in.
What's wrong with Cammy?
I am optimistic about the vampire. Her design looks kinda cool. Of course, I'd be disappointed of her story tied in with the Mishimas. Enough of the story can be traced back to them as it is.
