Wouldn't you reckon Batsy was smart enough to pass up on such an obvious Deal with the Devil, though?
What's precedent ever done for us?Masakaki loves the whole An Offer You Can't Refuse thing judging by the way he literally drags some people into the FD.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialWow, I was expecting Wall Street: The Anime, but, uh... now I might actually watch this.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudI'm not going to get into an argument over Batman vs Masakaki, I'll just point out something Masakaki has that The Bat doesn't: Teleport Spam.
BYOON~!![]()

Masakaki doesn't need to force him. Batman will become an Entre as part of his plan to take down the Financial District.
Really, I can whip up an Excuse Plot that lets Batman join the Financial District. Add some magicians and voila.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialProbably, Roanapur *is* the result of a bankrupt FD...
An idea to add to the speculations of the influence of Midas Bank in History: It was speculated that Communism was created by Karl Marx as a "vaccine" against the Midas Bank - but what if it was a Xanatos Gambit by the Bank? The "menace" of Communism lead in ultimate analysis to the rise of Welfare State, where the government create a system to provide better conditions to the workers, so they don't revolt - with the better conditions (in theory, at last), much more people have an improved future - so the Midas Bank used "Communism" as a way to increase the amount of future that it can get from bankrupt Entres! Devious...
Now if we can find a way to match the occuorance of Great Depression with the existence of the F Ds...
A still believer in Sa GaMaybe the Depression was a near-miss? A series of ailing Financial Districts that managed to get back on their feet? Of course, we'd never know about the ones that didn't make it...
What's precedent ever done for us?@Roanapur: Probably right about that.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialMarx was probably trying to 'vaccinate' against the Financial District. If the Midas Bank intervened anywhere, they'd have done it in 1902, inducing the publication of Lenin's pamphlet What Is To Be Done and hence setting up the Social Democrats to split into the Mensheviks and Bolsheviks in 1903. The Bolsheviks then proceeded to implement Leninism over classical Marxism and the rest is history.
(Interestingly, even if the Mensheviks had taken power, Russia would have become a bourgeois capitalist nation along the lines of France or Britain anyway, so whatever happened, the Financial District benefited. Xanatos Gambit much?)
Must...Look...Through...History Books...Looking...For...FD....Revisionism...
(lol jk, I'm just tired right now)
So, here's an interesting idea. What if the reason that currency even exists is because way back in Sumerian times, some "shaman" or "Magician" or "priest" found the FD, and suddenly because of it became king and introduced this "magic" into society?
I just can't get the image of Gilgamesh as Entre out of my head.
"KING OF HEROES, DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY?"
BYOON~!Makes sense, really.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialYes, but he is the messenger of the Elder Gods, a role suspiciously similar to Masakaki's...

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialAnd a Fate/Stay Night crossover would be truly epic. It'd work pretty well too - Masters = Entres, Servants = Assets, Noble Phantasms = Macroflations, Holy Grail = Big Freakin' Coin, Angra Mainyu = Keynesthulhu, Kotomine = Masakaki (for epic trolling value).
And hell, if we're bringing the Nasu Verse into this, might as well go all the way.
MYSTIC EYES OF MONEY PERCEPTION.
Any object that has monetary value internalizes the concept of "Money" from the very beginning. The Mystic Eyes of Money Perception allow you to see this concept in the form of 'lines of money' covering an object. By cutting along these 'lines of money', you destroy its internal concept of Money, effectively 'killing' the potential 'future' of that object as well as its past.
(Please note: Extended use of the Mystic Eyes of Money Perception may result in minor to moderate cases of severe brain damage. Ensure you have a half-demon sister on standby at all times in the event of Money-induced emergency. Side effects of the Mystic Eyes of Money Perception include dizzyness, fainting, insatiable greed and a borderline-superhuman ability to attract women.)

Episode 8 just went up on Anime-on-Demand.
Keynesthulhu. O_O
-edit-
By the way, do any of you people know where I could find alternate sources for [C]? I use Anime-on-Demand, obviously; when I tried to access goodanime (which is what some of you use?), my antivirus begins spazzing out, so... AoD is UK-only, so a USA-based one would be nice.
