This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

As far as I can tell, it was cut for being a stub.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Can I have the stub page for True Talents unlocked? I want to separate the True Talents tropes from Hidden Talents and move them to the sequel, but the namespace isn't available because of the lock.
I unlocked it, but you'd be advised to do better than the one-example stub that was there previously.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I think Side Effects Include... can stand to be unlocked now. The edit warring was a long-ass time ago, and I think most of us know better than to spam it with Overly Long Gag.
Ya think? We can try it, I suppose.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hi, I was wondering if The Vampire Diaries and its subpages (particularly the character pages) might be unlocked? Due to the (admittedly necessary at the time) lockage, they've gotten a bit outdated, especially since this is a series that tends to move at quite a rapid pace.
I'm taking a deep breath so I don't yell at you for ignoring the ten other times we've said no, and why.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Frankly, I don't think the requests will stop until the edit icon on locked pages is replaced by something like "request action" linking to the threads rather than the current icon that links to Locked Pages.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCould we please get an unlock for Limelight? Because the only reason why it's locked is because it was cut for lack of proper formatting and insufficient examples at a time when a cut automatically resulted in a lock.
Could https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Headscratchers/LegendOfDragoon
please be unlocked? I'm not sure what happened but there are some genuine headteachers, or at least one, in the game that weren't caused by mistranslations and such.
Isn't it alright to have the One Piece YMMV page unlocked by now? Its been a long time since the Complete Monster edit wars got it locked in the first place.
RLLI am requesting the unlock of Professional Wrestling. The wiki has a little too much on WWE and needs to highlight the good things and general happenings in other companies, as well as their errors. The subpages to the other genres and entire mediums remain open, the wrestling sub page should as well. We can even leave the WWE page locked, that's just a single company, but a business that ranges from CMLL, to FMW, to Chikara is too diverse to comprehensively detail without lots of help. We don't get the kind of random edits by passer byes other pages get. I never would have known about the BLOW fiasco if I had not heard of it here first and I'm a fan La Rosa Negra, one of the wrestlers involved. That's just because I've spent enough time watching Rose's work in four other promotions.
Of course, looking into the Blow thing shed new light on stuff I already considered myself familiar with and allowed me to add more information, not just negative information and stuff to complain about but insight into how promoters are attempting to adjust to the times (the rise of IPPV, the benefits, downsides, the improvements over the years) and likely many positive things to say in the future (IPPV exclusive Shine's a gem). Given the underdeveloped nature of a lot of wrestling pages and scarcity of fandom, we can use all the drive by edits we can get, even negative ones. Many divisive personalities (JIKTV, Macphisto, Devil May Cry, ect} have since been banned anyway, so the "wars" that supposedly lead to the locks are less likely to flare up now anyway.
Buldogue's lawyerI would be happy deleting the article entirely. Be glad that locking it is the limit of what we've done.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'd be fine with you deleting the article, if you deleted all the other wall banger pages too. You don't have to answer any of my requests after all, or even read them but that kind of argument never convinces anyone they are wrong.
As is, This Exists and people have an interest in adding to it. In the long run we might be better off without it, if people knew the Darth Wiki for its humor more than its comparatively less frequent negativity. But people enjoy the pages, and part of me does too. TNA's horrible page has a very Wrestlecrap feel to it
It's not about humor, it's about the fact that pro wrestling evokes absurd levels of fandom bias, above and beyond most other media. Any "caretaker" of its Horrible pages would by necessity also be a fan and subject to bias. I just don't see a way to keep arguments and flaming off of it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"You didn't look hard enough. It and Vampire Diaries get asked about once a month. The answer remains no due to rabidly clueless fans polluting the articles.
We've also suggested many times before that you Sandbox the changes you want and then present them to us to swap, but nobody's taken us up on the offer.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The Wikiterrorist who is notorious for striking the YMMV pages for numerous Pretty Cure seasons hasn't been around lately, so can we please get an unlock on the Doki Doki YMMV page?

Why is Yama no Susume locked? It's a Slice of Life based on mountain climbing and there's barely any Fanservice or any controversial themes to my knowledge. So there is no reason why this is locked.
