This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

I remember we decided not to hand out the sources of pages cut under the porn removal, so item #2 is disallowed.

Well, the PRLC isn't for redundant tropes. I don't see why we can't just redirect Depression Fuel to Tear Jerker.
Also, "Fuck The Jesus Beam" is cut and locked, and does not appear on Content Violation Reports. I assume that it was cut during the purge before P5 was created. I read the first few chapters of it, and it appears to be more of a Cluster F-Bomb Troll Fic in the vein of "Thirty Hs". While it's probably not very high on anyone's list of page to restore, could it at least be unlocked?

I'd like to start a page for the movie Shelter — could it please be unlocked? I couldn't find a reason why it was locked in the first place, so my apologies if there was one and I've just missed it.

The proper location is Film.Shelter. We do not create work articles in Main.
While you're at it, you may want to disambiguate Shelter (2010) [1] from Shelter (2007) [2].
The article was cut. I don't see a reason listed, but that doesn't mean we will simply let it be recreated. In fact, I see no real point in doing so.

Hi there, I created the Moralistic Fallacy page a little while back. Now it's content has been deleted with the page locked. I'm not sure why this was done, I don't think it was offensive in any way. Can someone unlock and restore it?
How was it bad? What essential parts were lacking? If someone had told me I'd have worked to correct any problems. Regardless, it has now been put in YKTTW. If it's accepted will the page get unlocked?

Let me count a few things. First, no examples. Second, no wicks. Third, the article read like someone writing a sermon about why the moralistic fallacy is wrong.
We are interested in tropes, not sermons.
If you do take it through YKTTW successfully, then we can unlock the article, but you have to ask here again.

Laconic.All Your Colors Combined is already locked, under the understanding that if it ever needs change (and it doesn't, nor do these laconics need lots of edits), we have all the time to unlock it.

Yes, it was cut. See here. I'm checking it out now to see if the cut master's rationale was in line with the requester's, but judging by the sheer size and wordiness of the article, I'm inclined to agree with taylorkerekes. I don't know what's wrong with people that they spend so much time obsessing over a kids' show, but I really think that you need to go out in the daylight once in a while.

That doesn't mean fridge horror in the show doesn't exist. Sure, maybe we can prune the examples, but that doesn't mean we need to cut the page entirely.

Fridge anything exists only in the minds of observers. It is not objective by any possible definition. We'll take a look at it in the mod discussion and see if we can decide on an outcome. It may take a while, so be patient.
