This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.
Original post
I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

What do you mean?
Could Pages Cut Under The Policy Change please be unlocked? It was cut because of a rogue request and never unlocked subsequently, and it could really use to be updated.
No. The Complete Monster subpages are being cleaned and then locked (or sometimes locked and then cleaned) in order to help halt the massive Trope Decay that was happening.
Any changes to any Complete Monster page must go through the Complete Monster Special Efforts thread
.

I doubt that. There aren't supposed to be a lot of Complete Monsters in any genre. Take it to the cleanup thread if you want to help move things along.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Just curious, but I've noticed that several subpages for Mass Effect are locked, notably all character pages, the YMMV and the Funny/Heartwarming/Awesome/Tearjerker subpages.
Was there an especially vicious edit war on those pages?
I don't have much changes to do — mostly as part of the wick namespace migration effort — so if you think it's too soon to unlock them, don't mind me.
A ridiculously persistent vandal employing at least 10 socks a day is targeting them. So, we can't unlock them just yet.

It's also on Locked Pages
Looks like that one fell afoul of the content policy. Pages Cut Under The Policy Change hasn't been updated, though.
If you don't come around here often, you probably didn't hear Tv T is doing a purge of articles that are guilty of violating new article standards, long story short porn is no longer acceptable.

Pages Cut Under The Policy Change only records pages cut pre-P5. Ones cut post-P5 can be found in this post
. I'm not seeing Ship In A Bottle on either list, though, and it's not showing up on the cutlist, either.
EDIT: Found it in the P5 decision queue
, so evidently it was indeed cut for violating the content policy.

Can a mod please unlock/restore this page? I put it up on the cut list thinking I didn't need it for the Roleplay namespace.

Know the Staff and DethroningMoment.Video Games are still locked even after the other Mass Effect 3 pages were reopened.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThere's no reason to unlock Know The Staff. It rarely gets any edits, and we can do those ourselves. Plus, even outside Mass Effect, it's a troll magnet.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI don't think so. There's still vandalism from before the ME troll days. And, there's a reason we lock Administrivia. Too many people try to slip their messages as policies. It's fine as it is.

Given that it took 6 months to add the edit about engineers having locking power in Wiki Talk, I don't think so.
And that is not a policy page. It's a list. That is the important part. Everything else is sidestuff. Nobody has seriously tampered with it, ever.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIs it incorrect now? I don't think it is. If it ever should appear to be incorrect, please let us know of our oversight.
Who are the staff and what they are able to do is not something that users need to be adding their opinions of, in my view. This should be a page maintained by us.
A brighter future for a darker age.

Because someone wanted to get rid of a ghost wick and decided this was the best way to do it. Cutlist abusers. A bane upon the world.
I'll fix it.
