"There's one in the right fin. They each have a back up blade should one break," He looked over at Gneisenau, "I take it the commander hasn't arrived?"
"It seems so, Commander Tripitz," Gneisenau replied, "The Pellet Guns will be issued when you launch from the hanger."

Diana glared at the controls for a few moments, considering the situation before shaking her head.
"I'm not sitting out on this, sir... I won't let him go out there by himself...Even if he is still a jerk!"
In reality, she was terrified, but she couldn't let it show, not now, when she could actually be of use.
" Excellent." Alex chuckled slightly, before opening up a channel to the others. " You guys ready or what? I'm ready for my first blood, how 'bout you?" He approached the lift platform, making sure to maintain careful control of Unit 14. His Tron Lines glowed brighter with anticipation.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Diana shuddered at the word "blood", but recovered soon after, noticing she was on a direct channel with him now.
"Let's just get this done...okay?", she half-pleaded.
She stretched her arms a few times, the mech responding after a bit of lag with about a fourth of the motion used.
Ugh, this is difficult...
Taylor watched as the chamber filled with LCL. She panicked and held her breath, then remembered something.
You can breathe this stuff, genius. The pamphlet said so.
Taylor took a deep breath, and Let the LCL fill her lungs. the sensation was odd, and every thing smelt like blood now, but she could breathe. She then attempted to move the Eva, which lurched forward jerkily as she thought about taking steps.
After A few more slow steps, Taylor felt a little more used to controling the Eva. Suddenly, an alarm sounded, alerting the presence of an Angel. Already? Taylor thought, hearing the announcement. She looked over at Alex who had jumped at the chance to fight. Celia had offered to help as well. Taylor turned her channel on. "I would like to come along as backup." She said.
I'm actually going to bed soon, but I can try to stay on if Taylor's needed.

The Platforms below the Evas shot to the surface. Pallet Guns were distributed from a slot in the wall.
On the horizon was a fog, or rather steam concealing almost all in sight. Beneath it was the angel, only barely visible. It was massive, its front was covered in what resembled either teeth or horns, the two largest on it's head, in a position ressembling horns, some surrounding a cavity that might be called a mouth and the rest scattered as spikes on a hedgehog. It was hard to say whether it was humanoid with a mouth in its chest or is that which resembled arms and legs were merely extensions of the mouth. It seemed to consume all in its path, the smoke billing higher as it consumed more.

" Didn't you read the manual?" Alex asked incredulously. " You hit the core. It's a big red ball. Could be anywhere in it. We neutralize it's AT-field with our own, then we hit it till we find the core, then we hit the core. And we don't die doing it."
Okay, time to take command. Alex thought. This is my chance.
" Me and smart girl are on point, okay? Smart girl, you're job is the AT-field. Stick close, but not too close, extend, and neutralize. Everyone will have to help with that, but it's mainly your job. Sick girl, you're with me. Grab a melee weapon and follow me in, we're hitting it close quarters. Rich bi- girl, you support us from range if you can, or melee too if that's your thing. Me and sick girl are the damage, you two are the support, go it? Me and smart girl are in the lead though, so you two be more careful. If you guys are in real danger, then get the fuck out, and leave it to me and smart girl. Understood everyone?"
But, he thought silently to himself, it's my kill. Don't get in my way.
Before waiting for their answer, he crouched the EVA into a ready position. Then he hit a control inside, and a hilt extended from his jet-black right fin. " Prog knife deployed." He said, reaching up and drawing it with a flourish, before settling into a fighting stance. " You guys ready?" He said to the others.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert."There was a manual?" Gneisenau looked over at the rest of the staff.
Tripitz shook his head while the scientist shrugged.
"That information should be classified," The subcommander said looking at the others.
"I suppose hand-me-down pilots aren't as useless as they look, Bismark. Seems he owes his brother more than the Eva." Gneisenau smirked.
"It's good to see we're in capable hands," Tripitz smiled.
"Rather than have the prodigal son return, the second follows him. At the end of his path lies destruction, yet he can see no farther than his brother," the Scientist spoke up.

The alarms blared, and an Angel was confirmed. "Welp. Looks like I jinxed us." Cecilia muttered, throwing her hands up with a shrug. The Eva tried to mimic the action, but didn't quite pull it off as smoothly due to its pilot's sync ratio. "Time to rock and roll as they say. I'm not being left behind, crappy connection to my Eva or not."
She followed her fellow pilots out, being deployed to the surface in near record time. Then, there was the Angel. 'Repulsive.' Cecilia thought. 'The quicker we kill that eyesore the better.'
Her channel open to the others, she listened as Alex started calling the shots. Typical. But she was more than happy to lend some support as commanded. Let the fools rush in and engage in close quarters combat for now.
"Ok Eva. Work for me." She focused on stretching out to grab the supplied pallet gun, the giant robot's hands clumsily reaching for it until establishing a firm grip. "Phew." She then took aim at the Angel.
"As ready as I'll ever be..."
"R...right!', she said, after finding the appropriate switch to deploy the Prog Knife, allowing the handle to jet out from the right arm of the EVA. She focused and moved her left arm to grab the knife, the EVA's arm doing the same after a slight lag, although it was a rather shaky grab. Whether this was because of the low Synch or because of her own movements was unknown to the others. She gripped the knife, and waited for the orders. Then she heard Gnieseau's voice, and did as she was told, pushing the knife back into the slot, and re-gripping the gun anxiously.

Gnieseau spoke up, "You and Greenberg are the only ones suited for combat. The most the others can do is lay down a stationary suppressive fire. I know you'd rather pilot solo, but convincing the others to go on suicide missions isn't in the cards. Liem. Drop the Knife, take the Gun. Don't try to move, you may fall over. Same to Cecilia."
He didn't like using her first name but he wasn't about to spend ten minutes stuttering out her last name.
"Malahidael will arrive in T-minus 480," Bismark said into the communicator, looking at the monitor.
"And thus we of the valley make our stand," Scharnhorst looked up from her monitor, "In Chariots of Iron against the will of El and Judah."

Taylor came up to the surface with the others. She looked around, and her eyes widened with shock when she spotted the Angel. We have to fight That? Taylor thought. I've read that these things looked Bizzare, but This? Taylor took a breath, then listened to Alex giving orders to everyone, giving her the order to break the Angel's AT Field. Oh great, Close combat. Taylor thought. She looked at the control for the prog knife release, then Decided it would get in the way. Having the knife out would get in the way of Taylor using her field, right?

" Fine." Alex grunted. " Me and smart girl in close. You suppress the AT-field, I'll go for the kill. Better get a Prog knife just in case, but leave the major fighting to me."
My kill, thought Alex furiously. Mine.
" You two, do what he said, grab the guns. You're ranged support, since you can't move. "
" Ready smart girl?" He asked. He couldn't actually recall her speaking before, so he wondered if she was at all capable.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert." GO!", yelled Alex, jerking Unit 14 forward into a full sprint. As he ran, he tried to extend his AT-field, hoping to neutralize the Angel's own field. He checked to make sure the others were acting as well...
Let's go smart girl, take the AT-field down. He though impatiently.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert. The bullets flew off the Angel. Diana's aim was good but bullets meant little against his seemingly endless array of horns and tusks. It advanced past the suppressive fire of bullets the size of battleship shells as though struck by spit balls.
It was unrelenting, taking minimal notice of the two Evas now flanking it. Instead focusing on the great feast that lay before it.

Oh no you don't you bastard. Thought an enraged Alex. You do not ignore me! '
He flexed his legs and leaped, soaring into the air above the Angel. His jump brought him down right on top of the mammoth creature and as he landed he brought his Prog Knife down straight into it's hide, carrying all the EVA's momentum and strength...
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Alex: 1+1, Malahidael: 6
Alex slipped and his Prog Knife buried itself in the Horns of the Malahidael. However Malahidael turned the front of it body and with it the Horns moved to impale the hand. The Horns pressing into the Evangelion and itself.
The pain was intense, it bled from the strength with which it impaled itself in order to further skewer the EVA.
Alex felt a sharp pain in his arm, as though someone stabbed him with three swords at once.
The Angel screamed in pain but pushed harder. One could almost swear the Eva did the same as it did.

What the fuck? Alex thought as the alarm sounded and the announcement was delievered, Already?!? Good.
He grinned ecstatically. Oh, this is gonna be a really, really good day.
He flexed the EVA's arms. They responded smoothly, and his grin grew wider. " I'm ready sir!" He said. " Just tell me where it is."
He checked his display, but couldn't really glean any information from it. "Is there a Prog Knife in one of the fins? Or two?" He asked hopefully. " I prefer knives."
