"What a shame." Cecilia directed at Scharnhorst before taking a nice, long drink herself. Hmm. Not bad. Maybe this crazy lady would have some use other than giving them a place to sleep and bathe after all.
"You sure you guys don't want any?" She held her mug up at Diana and Taylor, shaking it from side to side slightly. "Goes great with this pizza."
Alex snorted. " Pizza and wine..." He shook his head in disgust, before rounding on the other two. " You two are even worse! No wine!?!? That is a travesty! An insult to winemakers everywhere." He took a long drink from his mug.
" Barbarians." He whispered under his breath.
Well you're a weakling, so which is worse? A snide voice remarked inside him.
He responded by draining the entire mug and refilling it again. Wine solved all problems.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert."Suit yourselves. More for us." She grinned over at Alex, still sipping away on her own mug of wine. The way the boy across from her was downing the stuff brought a smirk to her lips. Someone was going to be very, very drunk soon if things continued that way.
"Do we have some downtime tomorrow? Or do they want us to go in for my tests?" She turned to the so-called adult in the room, eyebrows raised. "I think we all deserve the right to sleep in if not."
Alex downed another mug of the wine, filling up his third. " This is -hic- good stuff!" He exclaimed. " That's the -hic- earliest I've ever started hiccuping!"
He seemed oddly pleased with this. Apparently it meant it was high-quality wine.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert." Hey!" Alex shouted indignantly. " Do not defile the wine's presence with cold pizza! Would you pour motor oil into juice? No! So do not even bring this... this insult to wine into the room!"
" Wine virgins..." He whispered to himself, taking another deep drink.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Alex drained yet another mug of the wine, and poured himself another.
" Mmmmmmm." He said, or rather, moaned in pleasure. " -hic- yep, this is -hic- good stuff you got here." He shook the bottle and the wine inside swished, apparently almost empty.
He leaned back with a contented sigh in his chair and took another gulp. " Anybody want some -hic- more?" He asked with a faintly visible smile. A non-malicious one too. Truly a remarkable sight.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert. The Next Morning They Awoke.
They were given an urgent call to the UN base, where they saw a helicopter taking off and heading East.
Off it a young boy got off. He had dark brown hair, blue eyes. He was roughly the age of the other pilots but his face sported a determined glare.
"Borivoj Schwartz."
He looked over the group closely but said nothing further.
Alex had recovered from his bout of wine-induced friendliness from the night before. He was normal, surly, jackass Alex today.
He have the boy a scornful glare. Oh great, another loser. He thought with disgust.
" Alex Du Pais." He responded, seemingly bored. " Anyone know what's going on?"
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert."I am the recent transfer from Prague. It was concluded that your regiment required further strength and discipline, as such I was transfered. My Unit was in the copter presently headed towards the Minsk frontier and as such I am ready to begin immediately. Questions?"
"Essentially," Gniesenau said, "He's the new brat."
"Pleased to meet you," Borivoj said before turning to Gniesenau, "I believe we are to test our syncronization and run some test excercises in order to habituate myself to the team."
Gniesenau shook his head, "I suppose so, but that requires effort. Which we here at the UN are sorely lacking. As such-"
"Major Gniesenau," Bismark said, entering the room behind Gniesenau with a frown, "You are to run sync tests with Schwartz and any othr available and willing pilots. Understood?"
"A pleasure to see you again Commander Bismark," Borivoj smiled slightly.
"The feeling is mutual," Bismark said, his expression unchanging, "We expect great things from you, Schwartz."
"I should hope I meet these expectations," Schwartz saluted, "Shikinami put considerable effort my training and I would hate to disappoint her."

Having a new addition to the party was unexpected. Cecilia stood there with her usual glare of unrelenting judgment. Borivoj Schwartz was pretty cute. If they had to have a new team member, she was glad that he was at least blessed with good looks.
"Cecilia Grimmelshausen. Pleased to make your acquaintance." She didn't hold out her hand or anything, just merely nodded with a small smile.
" Yes, let's go." Alex said, rubbing his hands together eagerly. " Let's see how the new kid does." He glanced at his fellow pilots. " Hope he's better than you lot." He remarked with a smirk, and set off into the men's changing rooms before they could respond.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Diana just watched as the new pilot walked by and introduced himself. She was more than a little intimidated, actually...So she simply stood to the side as he walked by, thinking it unwise to say the wrong thing to him. She followed her fellow pilots into the women's dressing room, and opened her locker, preparing herself for that strangling feeling again.
Alex opened his locker brusquely and grabbed his plug suit. He glanced over at the newbie. " So who'd you say trained you?" He asked, feigning disinterest, as he stripped off his shirt and jeans, placing them in his locker. " I didn't get any specialized training, so I guess I didn't need it." He said with a slight smirk and a shrug. " Still, you can't be worse than them." He jerked his thumb towards the wall between the two separate locker rooms.

" This is an insult to good wine." Alex grumbled as he poured. " What's next, drinking it out of fucking watering pails?" He grabbed a mug for himself and filled it up as well.
" Well, at least it tastes just as good no matter what it's in." He held up his mug. " Buvez, mauviettes! " He took a long sip of the wine, licked his lips, and gave a small sigh. " Merde. " He said in surprise. " This is some really good wine actually."
Scarily enough, wine seemed to make him somewhat nice.
