Taylor shrugged. "Like I just said, It doesn't matter to me, but...." Taylor thought for a minute, since it seemed like Diana really didn't want to go back to the apartment.
"....I guess we could go shopping again? Or go for a walk?'
i was going to suggest going to the movies, but then I wondered if they even still had movie theaters in this universe..

And just like that the moment ended abruptly like a popped bubble. Alex was back to his grouchy self, moving away from Cecilia. Shutting her eyes she sighed softly, cursing Scharnhorst to hell and back.
Reopening her eyes she got up to, ignoring the pain that shot through her as she did so. "Yeah. Whatever." She brushed past the woman, flipping her hair behind her as usual. "Get me out of this stinking place."
" Food." Alex grunted, his every movement and spoken word still bringing him pain. " Don't care about anything else, as long as there's food." He glanced at the others.
" Might even make hanging out with you losers tolerable..." He mumbled under his breath.
So says the biggest loser of them all, hypocrite. said a snide voice from the back of his mind. He scowled and tried to shut it out.

Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert. They headed back to Scharnhorsts.
On the table was somewhat cold Pizza which she had clearly ordered in for the occaision. It was cold, but the Mircowave door was left open, inviting the children to reheat it. Evidently she had been waiting for their recovery.
On the floor was some new abomination, part Beaver, Part Duck, with aspects of an Otter and some reptile.
"Her name is Huxley," Scharnhorst said.
The old pizza was bad enough. But to come home to a weird creature that definitely shouldn't exist? Cecilia was about ready to peace out of this whole debacle.
"If it comes near me at night I'll have no choice but to make a handbag out of it." An incredibly tacky handbag at that. She sighed, going over to the pizza and shoving it into the microwave, hitting the necessary buttons after closing the door.
"Do you have any beer?"
The creature made an odd sound, best described as the pur of a frog. It nuzzled Taylor affectionately.
"Wine," Scharnhorst said, "Bottom shelf."
Scharnhorst picked up a slice of the pizza and threw it in the mircowave, "I didn't know what everyone liked. This is cheese. It should still be good after a bit in the mircowave."
Alex spent the entire ride in silence, filled with a haze of depression and anger, swinging violently between the two moods. He leaned against the wall as the others talked, until finally one word broke his stupor.
" Wine. " He grunted.
He stumbled tumbled over to the shelves, past the impossibly cute creature which looked like some duck-otter-thing.
Now I'm hallucinating. Great. I need wine even more now. How many painkillers do they have me on?
He didn't realize it was not a fabrication of his mind until it began to nuzzle Taylor like a dog.
... He thought. I shouldn't even be surprised anymore. He gave a resigned sigh and opened the bottom shelf door. He looked inside at the available wine. " What's your best?" He called over his shoulder.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Alex glared a Diana. " I'm French." He growled. " I have wine in my veins. Don't lecture me on drinking." He called after her as she went upstairs.
He withdrew several bottles of wine, until he finally found the bottle marked "Riesling". He took it out, along with a bottle opener, sat down, and twisted the cork off.
He sniffed the bottle neck and raised his eyebrows. " Good stuff." He said, surprised. " Where are the glasses?"
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Holy crap, it's ALIVE?! Taylor thought when the animal started nuzzling her. It's kinda cute though...in a really bizarre way.
Taylor then looked at Alex, then at Schamhorst. " Legal guardian or not, that's still probably a really stupid idea..." She sighed, taking a slice of pzza and waiting for the microwave to stop.
The microwave dinged, signalling the pizza was done. Taking a slice and starting to munch on it, Cecilia scoffed when their "guardian" mentioned there being mugs instead of actual wine glasses.
"Classy. Real classy."
She took another bite as she grabbed one of the mugs nevertheless, holding it up at Alex. "Fill 'er up, Captain Spazpants."
