Makes sense, but it still seems as if it dislikes certain types like a Guile Hero, for example.
Except that it openly states in bold print in the beginning blurb that having these qualities doesn't automatically make a character a Mary Sue. It's more about qualities Mary Sues tend to have than qualities that make a Mary Sue.
Besides, a character can be a Mary Sue and still be solidly entertaining and easy to root for.
Fear is a superpower.Well, yes and no, but the truth is it's used inconsistently. But it's basically a character who is unrealistically perfect and always wins just because they're so awesome. That can very easily be bad writing, but some characters are just so darn fun to watch or read that the audience just doesn't care how unrealistic they are. Personally I find Honor Harrington to be a massive and unapologetic Mary Sue, but I also think she's a very entertaining and awesome character.
We now return to your regularly scheduled thread.
Fear is a superpower.Yes, but many people have begun to use it to refer to any kind of Escapist Character.
This is a contributing factor to why it is a useless term.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NONot so much useless as limited in scope, IMHO. To me it means "impossibly perfect" and not "badly written monstrosity." I don't see it as definitively negative in and of itself. However most people start shouting Mary Sue just because they don't like a character without giving any thought to whether or not it's a valid criticism.
Fear is a superpower. That is also a contributing factor.
When someone tells you they think you've written a Mary Sue, it basically means "I don't like this character, unless maybe I do". And then they have to explain why they said that if it's going to be of any use, so they might as well just explain themselves and not use that phrase.
(Escapist Character is much less ambiguously what you mean.)
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOMary Sue has basically just become a buzzword for "character I don't like" at this point.
To get back on topic: the entry for Courtroom Antic under Cicero. Both for content and for sheer length.

One of the entries in the artwork folder under the Other page in Nightmare Fuel.
The "toddler" in the linked image looks like a Telly Salavas Good-Guy doll.
From good ol' "Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking"...

Batman Gambit is not a crossover. But it should be.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes Also

I think the whole point of the page is that all of the characteristics put together make no sense (like having a character that is incredibly beautiful and smart make sense, but having her also be an alien elf hybrid with a tragic past who saves the day is silly).
